Urge your Rep. to Support Legislation to Restrict Chain Migration!

An interesting post from www.NumbersUSA.com about Chain-Migration Immigration. This follows this post about E-Verify in Texas and this post which shows that there are 30,000 openly illegal immigrants in the border town of El Paso. On a related note, you can read about Miss Kentucky Latina here, an interesting article about Jessica Alba here or another article about Salma Hayek here. For more that you can do to get involved click HERE and you can read a very interesting book HERE!

Rep. Phil Gingrey has introduced H.R. 692, the Nuclear Family Priority Act, a bill that would would eliminate the extended family visa categories (e.g., married sons and daughters of citizens, etc.), thus ending “chain migration” as recommended by the bi-partisan Barbara Jordan Commission in 1995. (Chain migration is the process where seemingly endless “chains” of foreign nationals are allowed to immigrate to the United States, since our laws allow citizens and lawful permanent residents to bring in their non-nuclear, adult family members. It is the primary mechanism that has caused legal immigration in this country to quadruple since the 1960s.) This bill would reduce overall immigration to the United States by more than 111,000 per year.
