Can you use these free immigration materials?‏

An urgent post from www.NumbersUSA.com about materials to help make the case about immigration numbers. This follows this post about immigration bills in various states and this post which shows that there are 30,000 openly illegal immigrants in the border town of El Paso. On a related note, you can read about Miss Kentucky Latina here, an interesting article about Jessica Alba here or another article about Salma Hayek here. For more that you can do to get involved click HERE and you can read a very interesting book HERE!

Can you use these free immigration materials?

IN PUBLIC FORUMS, CLASSROOMS & DISPLAYS?

Friends, we have uncovered another stash of posters, videos and cards that have been used by tens of thousands of activists over NumbersUSA's 16-year history to persuade fellow citizens to get involved in our fight for immigration reduction.

Our staff will mail these to the first of you who indicate that you can make good use of the materials.

Please look over the items below and then send an email to Jasmine telling her what you can use:

The foldover cards showing the red and green immigration-driven population projections are brand new with the latest Census information.

But the information in the posters and videos is slightly dated, although only in terms of somewhat underestimating immigration problems (and severely undervisualizing my current age). When we offered these older tools last summer, we were surprised at how many of you were eager to have these to use. We want to see the last of this older stock put to good purpose, too.

BILL-FOLD-SIZE FOLDOVER CARDS

OF RED & GREEN IMMIGRATION/POPULATION CHART

CLICK HERE TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE CHART:

This is an incredibly easy way to show people why you are working on the immigration issue and why they should get involved. I have several stuffed into every suit jacket pocket so I always have one.

If you will really use them and hand them out, ask for 25.

If you tell us of a group setting where you can use them, we'll send you 50 or 100.

LARGE PAPER FOLD-OUT POSTER OF RED & GREEN CHART

If you are ever involved in table or booth displays, this chart is big enough to attract attention and educate the public.

Around 100,000 of these posters have been used across the country. They present a lot of the same things as the little billfold-sized foldover chart.

They are geared especially to the problem of congestion and sprawl in our lives and remind people that the congestion doesn't have to get worse if we would just do something about immigration.

If you have a group or go to fairs or conferences where you could display this, please ask us to send one to you.

ORIGINAL CHARTS & GUMBALLS VIDEO

That's right, this is a video (we don't have the 8-track audio version available!).

If your civic club, classroom or church still has a VHS player, this video will fill half of a half-hour program and stimulate more than enough discussion if you have a whole hour.

This is the 12-minute video that launched the NumbersUSA organization back in 1996. This video explains the red and green population/immigration chart you see on the foldover cards and includes the original gumballs demonstration.

The numbers on the video are a little outdated (projections are somewhat worse now) but the overall demonstration remains valid.

Email Jasmine (jcarreon@numbersusa.com ) and she'll send you one.

This video has been used thousands of times as the meat of a luncheon presentation.

DVD OF CHARTS & GUMBALLS

This is a DVD of the older presentations, plus my tubes demonstration on the National Mall.

As you know, we have updated YouTube versions of the chart and the gumballs presentations. Soon, we will be offering DVDs of these new presentations for sale. But you can have this DVD for free if you respond quickly enough before we run out.

VIDEO OF ENVIRONMENTAL VERSION OF CHARTS & GUMBALLS

This has the "green" introduction to the charts and gumballs presentation that includes priceless footage of Sen. Gaylord Nelson (D-Wis.) who was the Father of Earth Day in 1970 and a major icon within the environmental movement.

If you are presenting a program to a group that is environmentally oriented, this is a good video in that it shows Sen. Nelson lauding our immigration presentation. It also shows quotes from various environmental groups when they used to work toward less immigration.

THANKS,

P.S. Have you signed the latest immigration petition to Pres. Obama and referred some names of people who should get an email inviting them to also sign?
