Editorial: Why are Refugees and Immigrants being flooded into the U.S.

Editorial

As many are aware, refugees and immigrants continue to flood into the U.S. against the will of the people. States, cities and other municipalities have stated that they do not have the resources to support this population increase, yet the federal government continues to flood them in, frequently out of spite!

What can be done about this?

There are several websites, such as www.NumbersUSA.com, and www.Alipac.US that you can register at which will help you lobby key lawmakers.

www.VDare.com has many articles which explain this situation including this key article here

Appalled By The “Refugee” Program? Step Up And **DO** Something

At her irreplaceable Refugee Resettlement Watch blog, refugee-realist Ann Corcoran is nearing 8,000 posts (personal communication).  Currently she’s imploring all of us to send actual letters—mailing pre-printed postcards and other types of slacktivism won’t do—to the Senate subcommittee that held a hearing about the refugee program on September 28:
O.K. I’ve been hearing a lot of excuses about why some of you don’t want to be bothered doing this!
Sorry folks, but saving America is going to be hard work and this is the least you can do—spend an hour writing a proper, polite letter to Senator Sessions who held a hearing last week on Obama’s final determination as President to bring in 110,000 refugees this fiscal year (the new flow began yesterday! [i.e. On October 1, start of the federal fiscal year]).  The security issues were front and center.
Leo Hohmann of World Net Daily wrote a detailed account of the hearing (Leaked Memo: Refugees Vet Themselves, September 28, 2016), including one video highlight.  To watch the entire hearing, which lasted about two-and-a-half hours and included the usual pomposities of preening, speech-making senators tangling with evasive bureaucrats, go to the Judiciary Committee’s web page here and settle in with some popcorn.  (Senators Sessions [R-AL] and David Vitter [R-LA] were welcome exceptions to the usual behavior of TV-exposure-starved politicos.)
Besides her plea for citizen engagement, Ms. Corcoran rattled off nine comments about this patriotic duty.  Here are four of them:
  • Senator Sessions took time to hold a hearing (only the second since 9/11) and should know that you care and appreciate that by taking time to write a real letter!
  • Your Senators and Member of Congress (however useless they are) must be copied on the testimony so they know that you are serious about your opposition to how the program is being administered. Attach a note to your testimony and ask that your representative respond that they received it.
  • You are not expected to be an expert on the law, or sound like you are a lawyer!
  • Your testimony does not need to be a monster summary of your situation and your concerns.  You can pick one or two key points about why you believe the UN/US State Department program needs to be halted/reformed.*** They are spending your money for it!  There is no wrong or right thing to say, just be polite.  Hint! If you don’t have a problem yet where you live, then find some specific thing you’ve seen here at RRW that is particularly concerning.
There’s a practical problem: The hearing record closes this Wednesday, October 5.  This probably means that the only practical way to get letters to the subcommittee in time is by faxing them.  (This might be true even if the “fuse” weren’t so short, as I think snail mail has a tortuous path to Capitol Hill offices because of security screening.)  The fax number for Senator Sessions’s Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest is 202-224-9102.
So that’s what I did, using my home fax, late Sunday evening (October 2).  My faxed letter is below, and you’re welcome to use it as a model.  However, it’s rather long—although it did fit on a single page, using 10-point Times New Roman font—so you might, instead, limit your writing to some subtopic.  You’ll find a wide range of possibilities for comment, including documentation, in the PDF version of the slides I used at a recent talk in Oregon.
That’s “too much trouble,” to actually draft a letter and send it via fax by, say, 2 p.m. Eastern Time this Wednesday?  Ms. Corcoran is having none of that:
Many of you talk big about how angry you are, you rant and rave at Obama and Hillary, you get into squabbles on social media, you are reading news all over the net all day and sending news to me, you send me ideas on what Congress should do, and then you tell me you haven’t an hour or two to write a letter to Senator Sessions, one of the few friends you have ever had in the Senate!
[Emphasis in the original, color by PN]
Added point: The subcommittee hearing was largely limited to the matter of “vetting” refugees, especially those from Syria.  But refugee resettlement is a big subject, so I tersely addressed other aspects as well in my letter.  Here you go:
[street address]
Bozeman, Montana 59715
2 October, 2016
406-XXX-XXXX (voice)
The Honorable Jeff Sessions (Attention: Gene Hamilton)
Senate Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest
US Senate
Washington, DC 20510
Fax 202-224-9102
Dear Senator Sessions,
I’m writing as follow-up to your recent hearing that reviewed the U.S. refugee program.  Please include this letter in the hearing record.
In February 2003, at a conference in southern California on immigration, assimilation, and citizenship, I was introduced to Temple University law professor Jan Ting.  Immediately upon learning that Prof. Ting had been Assistant INS Commissioner under Pres. G.H.W. Bush I asked him, “Is it true what I’ve heard, that 90% of refugee and asylum cases are fraudulent?”  His instant reply: “95%.”
Nothing I’ve learned since—and I’ve learned a lot—has dissuaded me from the conclusion that the U.S. refugee program needs to be shut down.  Besides the obvious fraud (see below), it’s become merely another feeding trough for parasites, those being the “voluntary agencies” that are, in reality, just government contractors operating under a gloss of “compassion.”  They’re in it for the money!
Regarding fraud, a report in the September 29 Minneapolis Star-Tribune describes the financial hardships of Minnesota-resident Somalis who take vacation trips back to the “old country.”  Since essentially all Somalis in the U.S. are “refugees” themselves (I use those quotation marks advisedly) or the offspring of “refugees,” the fraud here is screamingly obvious.  And an article that appeared online in July illustrated the same point right in its headline: “Syrian refugees in Turkey return home for Eid,” Eid being an important holiday for Muslims and “home” in this instance being Syria.
Of course, your hearing focused on the related difficulties of vetting “refugees” having sketchy backgrounds.  On this, the three bureaucrats before you were notable primarily for their orotund blather.  When listening to such, one must keep in mind the demonstrated broad-spectrum incompetence of our federal agencies, ranging from the EPA’s flooding of the Animas River with mine waste to the 95% failure rate of TSA screeners to detect test contraband to the supposed “vetting” of the female shooter in San Bernardino.
Omitted from your hearing was any discussion of the burdens that current refugee inflows are inflicting on small cities nationwide.  (This is entirely apart from their welfare loads on the federal taxpayer, something you and your staff called attention to a year ago.)  Especially impacted are schools—with their herculean problems of bringing large numbers of new, non-English-speaking students up to speed—welfare agencies, and law enforcement.  For example, the 911 emergency dispatch in Amarillo, Texas has to contend with calls in more than 40 languages.
We ordinary American citizens don’t deserve any of these threats or costs that are imposed on us by our feckless, faux-compassionate elites.  As columnist John Hawkins wrote, “Compassion is about what you do personally, not what government programs you advocate funding with other people’s money.”  People with refugees and “refugees” on their minds should put up their own resources and do the work themselves.
Sincerely,
[signature]
Paul Nachman

Editorial: Why INCREASE Refugees after Terrorism?

Editorial

As the U.S. reels from YET ANOTHER group of Muslim terrorist attacks, the president wants to INCREASE the amount of Muslim Refugees to enter the U.S.

He has said that he will state this to the United Nations, and after that, he will accuse the Republican party of a government shutdown if they don't agree to fund this increase with the budget's Continuing Resolution.

Will Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell stand up to him? Their spinelessness was one of the main reasons for the rise of Donald Trump.

A Flood of Immorality & Crime

An interesting article from http://www.ucg.org/ about immorality and criminals. This follows this post about the U.S. For a free magazine subscription or to get the books recommended for free click HERE! or call 1-888-886- 8632.

Sexual immorality is clearly on the rise. As of  this writing, same-sex marriage is legal in 17 countries around the world—with others giving recognition to such unions. In America it is legal in 19 states and the District of Columbia—8 by court decision, 8 by state legislatures and 3 by popular vote.
Legalization has the effect of normalizing the practice and making it more and more acceptable—along with homosexuality in general (see “ Government and the Gay Agenda “). Same-sex couples are also increasingly being allowed to adopt children, further corrupting the younger generation by making homosexuality seem normal.
Yet we should not only consider such sensational matters that garner attention in national debates. Rampant adultery and widespread divorce don't receive much notice. Nor does pornography, premarital sex and cohabitation or, as it used to be called, “living in sin.” So many movies and TV shows depict unmarried couples sleeping or living together that we rarely give it a second thought. That's just the way it is now, so there is rarely the kind of outrage such behavior should provoke.
The truth is that we have been inundated and overwhelmed—and usually we don't even think about it. The slide in this direction has been happening for a long time, but it has greatly sped up in recent years.
Lying and stealing are often the business of political and government leaders these days—as we hear repeated denial of wrongdoing and see our hard-earned money taken or diminished in value to increase the wealth of others. Indeed, lying and stealing have become the business of many businesses—and of the average person. It may bother us on discovering that we are the victim, but it's often an expectation now. And worse, so many of us persist in the same behavior.
Violence is on the rise. Many blame the existence of guns. But the problem is not with the weapons—it's with those wielding them. It's with society as a whole, which has lost its moral underpinnings. Priorities are upside down—and almighty government leads the way.
Here's a relevant story: “Among the 36,000 immigrants whom U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE] released from custody last year there were 116 with convictions for homicide, 43 for negligent manslaughter, 14 for voluntary manslaughter and one with a conviction classified by ICE as 'homicide-willful kill-public official-gun' …
“'This would be considered the worst prison break in American history, except it was sanctioned by the president and perpetrated by our own immigration officials,' said Rep. Lamar Smith, Texas Republican” (Stephen Dinan, “Feds Release Hundreds of Immigrant Murderers, Drunk Drivers, Sex-Crime Convicts,” The Washington Times, May 12, 2014, emphasis added).
When we read something like this, it may seem that something is wrong with people's minds—that they are irrational. And indeed they are! In fact, we all are to some degree—and it's a problem that ultimately needs to be dealt with on the inside.

Mexico helping unvetted African migrants to U.S. border, many from Al-Shabaab jihadi hotbed

A timely post about from www.jihadwatch.org about Mexico and Jihad. This follows this post about Google and Islam. This follows this post about the Clinton Foundation. This follows this article about American energy independence and preventing money from going to hostile countries. For more, you can read two very interesting books HERE.You can follow me here.

Mexico helping unvetted African migrants to U.S. border, many from Al-Shabaab jihadi hotbed

Hundreds of African asylum seekers have flooded Mexican border cities with the U.S. in an effort to get to California and Texas to obtain U.S. asylum — many of the unvetted migrants are from the terror hotbed of Somalia.
The terror hotbed of Somalia means many of the unvetted migrants are likely to be Al-Shabaab jihadists. Until Western political policy directly confronts the multi-dimensional jihadist war against Western civilization, unapologetically, the West is doomed to be subjugated through hijrah, or jihad by immigration.

“Mexico Helping Unvetted African Migrants to U.S. Border, Many From Al-Shabaab Terror Hotbed”, by Ildefonso Ortiz and Brandon Darby, Breitbart, September 10, 2016:
Hundreds of African asylum seekers have flooded Mexican border cities with the U.S. in an effort to get to California and Texas to obtain U.S. asylum — many of the unvetted migrants are from the terror hotbed of Somalia. Rather than having to hide along the way, the African migrants have been getting a special permit from Mexico that gives them a free pass to the U.S. border.
The influx of asylum seekers from African countries who entered Mexico illegally has been building for several weeks as hundreds of individuals continue to arrive primarily to Mexicali to cross into Calexico, California, in order to seek asylum. Mexican immigration authorities have been spotted ferrying the asylum seekers from shelters and plazas to international bridges with the U.S.
Mexican immigration authorities have largely kept quiet about the wave of African migrants who have been entering Mexico through that country’s southern border and then making their way to the U.S. border to seek asylum. Some of the cities they seek include Calexico and San Ysidro, California, and El Paso, Texas.
According to Mexico’s El Universal African migrants have been entering Mexico and almost immediately turning themselves in to agents with the National Immigration Institute (INM).
Once in custody, the migrants receive a special 20 day pass that gives them the freedom to move about the country. The purpose of the pass is to allow them to get to the U.S. border. According to El Universal, INM issues the permit to individuals from countries that Mexico does not have diplomatic relations with. The permit makes it easier for the INM to have the migrants leave the country voluntarily than to deport them to their countries of origin.
During a one week period in late August, there were 424 African migrants who turned themselves in to INM agents in the city of Tapachula, Chiapas.
In 2013, Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby warned that the Mexican border provided “a global pathway” for illegal immigrants from the Horn of Africa including those from nations with Islamic terror ties such as Somalia.
According to Mexicali’s La Cronica, on Friday alone there were 180 individuals from Congo, Angola, Somalia and other African countries in the city awaiting for their time to cross. Other local outlets reported 200 and as many as 300 African immigrants in town on Friday.
According to Mexico’s Televisa News, in August 10, immigration authorities found 52 African illegal immigrants that had been riding in three buses in their attempt to get to the Mexico-California border….

Trump Eats Mexicans’ Lunch–NYT Denounces Mexican President For Letting Him

I’ve got to run some errands, so comment away on Trump’s trip to Mexico and upcoming immigration speech.
Sounds like Trump dominated in Mexico. Carlos Slim’s NYT is livid:
Mexicans Accuse President of ‘Historic Error’ in Welcoming Donald Trump
By AZAM AHMED and ELISABETH MALKIN AUG. 31, 2016
MEXICO CITY — If President Enrique Peña Nieto invited Donald J. Trump to visit Mexico for a dialogue in the interest of democracy, the message has fallen on deaf ears.
Instead, the predominant feeling here in the Mexican capital is one of betrayal.
“It’s a historic error,” said Enrique Krauze, a well-known historian. “You confront tyrants, you don’t appease them.”
On Mexico’s most popular morning television show on Wednesday, a livid Mr. Krauze likened the president’s meeting with Mr. Trump to the decision by Neville Chamberlain, then the British prime minister, to sit down with Hitler in Munich in 1938.
“It isn’t brave to meet in private with somebody who has insulted and denigrated” Mexicans, Mr. Krauze said. “It isn’t dignified to simply have a dialogue.”
Yes, many Mexicans say, it was Mr. Trump who offended the people of Mexico with his disparaging comments about migrants and his promises to build a border wall paid for by Mexico.
But for many Mexicans, the surprising invitation from Mr. Peña Nieto — who has likened Mr. Trump’s language to that of Hitler and Mussolini in the past — is even worse.
Newspapers, television stations, social media and all manner of national communication were awash in vitriol at the idea of a meeting between the two men. …
Still, analysts on both sides of the border said they were mystified about why Mr. Peña Nieto received Mr. Trump.
There is “unanimity that this is a giant farce,” said Jesús Silva-Herzog Márquez, a professor and columnist for Reforma, a Mexico City newspaper.
Mr. Peña Nieto “compared Mr. Trump to Mussolini and Hitler,” he added, “and now we invite Mussolini, we are going to negotiate with Hitler when he hasn’t even won the election.”
After the two men met, in what Mr. Trump described as an “excellent” occasion, they appeared at a very civil news conference. Mr. Peña Nieto promised to work with whichever candidate was elected and spoke about the importance of the relationship with the United States.
“I shared with him the fact that there have been misunderstandings or affirmations that hurt and affected Mexicans in their perception of his candidacy,” Mr. Peña Nieto said he told Mr. Trump. “The Mexican people felt aggravated for comments that were formulated, but I am certain that he has a genuine interest in building a relationship that would lead us to provide better conditions for our people”
While Mr. Trump hardly offered Mexicans the sort of apology that many had hoped for, he was a far more chastened candidate than Mexicans have come to expect. He repeatedly lauded their hard work, and spoke of his “tremendous feeling” for Mexicans.
“They are amazing people,” he noted.
In the end, he called Mr. Peña Nieto a friend.
“I don’t see how that helped Peña Nieto,” said Shannon K. O’Neil, a Mexico expert at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. “If the reason Peña was inviting Trump was to stand up to him and show his strength in front of somebody who has attacked Mexicans, then he failed.
Other critics were less kind.
“To put it mildly, I think it was the biggest humiliation a Mexican president has suffered on his own territory in the last 50 years,” said Esteban Illades, editor of Nexos, a magazine in Mexico. ”He not only managed to make Donald Trump look presidential, which is an incredibly hard thing to do, he managed to forgive Donald Trump even though he didn’t actually offer an apology in the first place.”

Keep in mind that Pena Nieto is, lately, the arch-enemy of the financial savior of the New York Times, Carlos Slim. The current president of Mexico finally pushed through anti-monopoly legislation that has knocked, last I checked, about $20 billion off Slim’s net worth.
Now Trump’s immigration speech is coming up. [Comment at Unz.com]

Demographic shifts changing the face of America

An interesting article from http://www.ucg.org/ about demographics and the electoral college. This follows this post about Gaza. For a free magazine subscription or to get the books recommended for free click HERE! or call 1-888-886- 8632.

MP3 Audio (6.1 MB)
“At its core, demography is the act of counting people,” begins a new report from the Pew Research Center about U.S. population changes. “But it’s also important to study the forces that are driving population change, and measure how these changes have an impact on people’s lives.”
The report went on to summarize 10 demographic changes that are reshaping the United States in significant ways. Among them are:
Immigration is making the country more racially and ethnically diverse . Almost 60 million immigrants have come into the country over the last 50 years, largely from Mexico and Asia (“Asia” in this case being primarily the Middle East, Pakistan and India rather than China and Japan). The percentage of America’s foreign-born population has nearly tripled over the same time to 14 percent, meaning one out of every seven were born outside the United States.
The numbers of Asian and African immigrants are rising, while the number of net immigrants from Mexico has leveled off and is slowly decreasing.
Millennials, those born after 1980, likely now outnumber the “Baby Boomer” generation (born 1946-1964)—and differ from them significantly. They are racially diverse (43 percent are non-white), politically more liberal, and more highly educated—with the result that many struggle with student debt and still live at home.
Mothers are now the sole or primary wage earner in 40 percent of all households with children. This means that large numbers of children spend little time with either parent. More than a quarter of all children under 18 live with a single parent; 5 percent live with no parent at all.
American families are changing in other ways. The percentage of Americans over 25 who have never been married is the highest ever at 20 percent. This is more than double the 9 percent of never-married adults in 1960. About one in four young adults aged 25 to 34—the prime childbearing years—are not married but living with a partner.
The middle class is shrinking. In 2015, after four decades in which middle-class families were the majority, only half of U.S. adults lived in middle-income households. As the middle class has shrunk, the gap between the “haves” and “have-nots” has grown.
The percentage of Americans identifying as Christian is shrinking while the number of those religiously unaffiliated is growing. From 2007 to 2014, the percentage claiming Christianity dropped from 78 to 71 percent while the religiously unaffiliated climbed from 16 to 23 percent.
These trends have sobering implications for the nation.  The changes due to immigration show that America’s leaders are repeating the mistake that is currently bringing so much chaos to Europe—opening doors to millions of immigrants from other cultures and religions who will never fully assimilate into American culture.
The changes in family life show that the nation is drifting farther from the God-designed family model (of a husband and wife bound in a loving marriage and bringing up children who are taught godly principles and values). Veering from God’s design brings only greater personal and societal costs.
And rejection of biblical Christianity to embrace other religions (or none at all) leads to only further moral, cultural and societal breakdown as people look to human government or themselves to find solutions for their problems. As Proverbs 14:12 said some 3,000 years ago, “There is a way that seems right to man, but its end is the way of death.”

Editorial: The consequences of a Biased Media!

Editorial

If there was ANY doubt at all that the media IS biased, last week should have dispelled that forever! However, when you look at the polls, as biased as THEY are, they seem to imply the Democratic candidate is ahead.

If this is true, it is not necessarily due to the behavior of the Republican candidate, but rather to the demographic shifts that have already happened, IN SPITE OF the will of the American people.

This means that it may already be TOO LATE to stop the influx of Rapists, Drug Lords, and Terrorists from overrunning the U.S.A, and THAT is not due to the alleged "misstatements" of the GOP candidate, which are overshadowed by the CRIMES of the Democratic one!

Editorial: The Supreme Court's legislation continues! (Along with the Executive's)

Editorial

As we all learned from watching Schoolhouse Rock, there are three branches of government in a separation of powers. Nevertheless, the Legislative Branch has been infringed on by the other two branches and has been too weak to reassert itself in its function.
This is best exemplified by immigration laws. There are laws on the books passed by the Legislative Branch, and others which have NOT been passed by the Legislative Branch. The Executive Branch has refused to enforce the laws it doesn't like, such as deportations, and has enforced laws which are not on the books, such as the Dream Act.
The Supreme Court will likely have a deadlock on the Executive Branch's lawlessness, which should have been met with IMPEACHMENT, instead of having to go to a deadlocked Supreme Court in the first place.

ALIPAC Endorses Donald Trump for President; Acknowledges Ted Cruz's strong stance

ALIPAC & William Gheen Endorse Donald Trump for President

February 29, 2016

Contact: ALIPAC.us | WilliamG@alipac.us | (866) 703-0864

William Gheen, the President of America's 3rd largest activist group and the nation's only Political Action Committee (PAC) dedicated to fighting against illegal immigration and amnesty is today endorsing Donald Trump for President.

This endorsement is a departure from the national organization's 11 year policy of not endorsing Presidential candidates.

"One thing I know with all my heart, is that the people supporting Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are America's best hope for survival! I sincerely believe that we must now work to consolidate support behind Trump because he is the strongest anti-establishment candidate and has the best chance of overcoming the devious plans of the biased media and DC insiders that are desperate to stop this populist political revolt! Trump is America's best chance to stop and reverse illegal immigration if we hold him to his promises and remove many of the incumbent Republicans in Congress who are aligned with Obama on Amnesty for illegals!" said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC.

William Gheen and ALIPAC are announcing this unprecedented endorsement of Donald Trump with the hope of helping Trump fulfill his campaign promise to deport all illegal aliens as current US laws and the Constitution require. It is also hoped that endorsing Donald Trump will bring more attention and energy to the down ballot candidates facing off against the 178 Cantor List Republicans who support the same kind of amnesty for illegals that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama support.

"We will fight tooth and nail for Donald Trump until the last day of his second term as long as he stays true to his GOP Primary supporters and his promises to deport illegals, build a substantial wall, decrease legal immigration levels to help American workers, and end dangerous Muslim refugee resettlement programs," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "However, we do plan to oppose any touch back amnesty plans for deported illegal immigrants. ALIPAC stands behind our current laws that say any illegal immigrants deported from the United States are prohibited from legal entry for a minimum of ten years, and we hope Mr. Trump will honor that law when our members of Congress refuse to change it."

William Gheen is willing to accept that Donald Trump has had a recent conversion or evolution on immigration issues after reading Ann Coulter's book Adios America because many Americans have also experienced such an awakening on the issue. Often, new readers perusing the archives at www.ALIPAC.us are shocked to discover just how planned and intentional mass illegal immigration is, and how many Americans are losing life, limb, property, and livelihoods to illegal aliens while our biased media conceals those problems and deaths. ALIPAC activists have referred to such political transformations as "Lifting the Rock." ALIPAC.us is the world's largest archive of information about illegal immigration and is often used by book authors writing on the subject.

Most ALIPAC supporters support either Trump or Cruz (58-32%), almost everyone opposes Marco Rubio for his role in the Gang of Eight amnesty legislation which Americans for Legal Immigration PAC and the group's endorsed members of Congress have successfully fought and stopped from reaching Obama's desk since 2013! And even though ALIPAC is endorsing Trump, supporters of other candidates are still welcome and encouraged to keep fighting illegal immigration with ALIPAC.

While ALIPAC appreciates Cruz's promise to also enforce immigration laws and his campaign's focus on illegal immigration, revelations that his wife Heidi Cruz is both a recent employee of Goldman Sachs and a signatory to the Council on Foreign Relations document "Building a North American Community" disqualifies anyone in the Cruz family from occupying the White House. Heidi Cruz's employment with Goldman Sachs and role as a signer of the Open Borders Manifesto from the CFR is too much of a risk for America during this unstable and chaotic time.

"We appreciate Ted Cruz's efforts to stop the Gang of Eight amnesty bill and his Presidential campaign's attention to the illegal immigration issue, we cannot allow Heidi Cruz to become the First Lady of the United States," said William Gheen. "Mrs. Cruz's high level employment with the pro amnesty and open borders power groups of Goldman Sachs and the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) means that the very groups ALIPAC has been fighting against for the last decade would once again hold sway in the Executive Branch."

William Gheen and ALIPAC's endorsement of Donald Trump follows other endorsements from prominent illegal immigration fighters such as legendary Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, and past AZ Governor Jan Brewer.

Editorial: Pope to visit U.S. Border: How many people are the Vatican OR Mexico allowing into their own countries?

Editorial

In an event that is getting scant coverage outside of the U.S. southwest, the Pope is going to visit the border town of Juarez, which is across from El Paso, TX. It had been reported that the pope might cross the border with some undocumented workers, although now that is unlikely.

However, he is planning to denounce the U.S. for immigration restrictions at the border from Mexico's side. What restrictions? The U.S. allows over 1 million legal immigrants per year, plus visa holders, plus the illegal ones who are a result of lack of enforcement.  This comes to at least 3 million per year, 30 million per decade, about a 10 percent increase of the nation's population in a decade.

Amid all of the rhetoric of racism, fascism, xenophobia, etc. directed against Donald Trump and the rest of the GOP, President Obama did admit that the Democratic party is not the party of working class Americans! That should truly be one of the most historically SHOCKING stories of all time!

Editorial: Primary Against Paul Ryan!

Editorial

As we saw in the Omnibus budget bill,
1. Planned Parenthood was FULLY FUNDED, in spite of this year's revealing videos
2. "Syrian" Refugees were FULLY FUNDED, in spite of security concerns
3. Immigration was increased in the form of
    A. Increased H2-B Visas
    B. Continued funding of Sanctuary Cities
    C. Unaccompanied Alien Minors are not Deported
4. The deficit was increased by over $1.1 trillion dollars

Immigration is the key to so many other issues because, as was noted in the book of the year, Adios America, by Ann Coulter, recent immigrants vote for the Democratic Party at a rate over 80% so these immigrants will vote for pro-abortion and pro-homosexual candidates at that rate!

An interesting article from www.numbersusa.com about Barbara Jordan and immigration. This follows this post about the AFL-CIO and immigration. Remember, “Amnesty” means ANY non-enforcement of existing immigration laws! This follows this comment and this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! The 'Barbara Jordan' ad in debates stunned, shocked, angered, buoyed viewers -- Why Barbara?

Our media release before the Fox Business News debates Wednesday night was titled:

NumbersUSA reintroduces the world to Barbara Jordan
Lots of tweets immediately popped up saying things like: Did I just see the late great Barbara Jordan in an ad?
Many exclaimed how great it was to see her leadership for sane, compassionate immigration to get exposure again.
And many others issued expletives amid insistence that we had somehow defiled Jordan's memory by showing her making the call for immigration reductions as she did repeatedly in the last bold acts of the Civil Rights icon's long career of public service before her untimely death in 1996.
Here's the ad: https://www.numbersusa.com/video/2015-barbara-jordan-tv-ad
And here's our web page about Barbara Jordan's career and incredibly practical comments about what U.S. immigration policy should be and do: https://www.numbersusa.com/resource-article/barbara-jordans-vision-immig...
I was asked by news media why we had chosen to feature Barbara Jordan in this latest of our ads that are running in all Democratic and Republican debates. Here was my written response:
As more politicians are easing into discussion about not just illegal immigration but about whether legal immigration numbers should be cut, many in the news media and the public react as if reducing immigration is a fringe idea or at least outside mainstream thinking. We chose the chairman of the U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform to anchor the ad to help people begin to see that politicians today calling for an end to chain migration, an end to the visa lottery, mandating workplace verification of all hires, and tracking all entries and exits by foreign citizens are not being radical. One can disagree with those recommendations but they nonetheless are so mainstream that they were recommended by a bi-partisan set of commission members chosen by Senate and House leaders. Of course, we can't get all those recommendations in the ad. But we can directly raise the basic idea of cutting legal immigration numbers in half and to do so for America's most vulnerable. As Pres. Clinton's choice to be chairman, Barbara Jordan is the logical choice to remind people that these recommendations should not be limited to platforms of Republican politicians, even though the Democratic candidates at this time seem to be advocating the opposite principles from Jordan.

As a Civil Rights icon, she also helps people get beyond attempts of the immigration-expansion lobbies to make immigration reduction seem to have a racial component
which has tended to intimidate many Americans from dealing with immigration rationally just like any other policy. The most vulnerable Americans whom Jordan mentions are people of all races and national origins. It is difficult to think of a voice more forceful and more unapologetic than Jordan's in favor of this country's immigration policies serving the interests of this country's workers.
Also, after Jordan's untimely death in 1996, I founded NumbersUSA to promote the recommendations of this last act of Jordan's long and illustrious career of public service. I was privileged to have been asked to meet with Jordan and her commission during its deliberations. Although special interest lobbies have succeeded in delaying consideration of most of her recommendations for nearly 20 years, the economic hardships that she was addressing then are even more pronounced today. Not surprisingly, we are beginning to see more and more politicians begin to take up her concerns. I think the time is ripe to remind Americans and our politicians of the great principles advanced by Jordan in what may have been her finest moment in a career of extraordinary moments.
Here is the ad we ran in the previous debates, starting in August: https://www.numbersusa.com/video/tv-ad-one-million-right-number-annual-i...
Each ad emphasizes two important numbers:
  • 15 million. The number of Americans who want to support themselves, who want to avoid depending on taxpayers and family and who want a full-time job but cannot find one because there are more workers than jobs in this country.
  • 1 million The number of foreign citizens that our government gives life-time work permits to every single year regardless of how large is the surplus of workers already.
This new ad notes that the bi-partisan Jordan Commission recommended cutting legal immigration to about 550,000 -- which is half of today's level.
It is very important that our politicians start to understand that reducing LEGAL immigration is a rational, mainstream option that should be on the table. Even more, we want our fellow citizens to know that cutting legal immigration numbers by at least half is a mainstream moderate solution.

Texas Union Leader Challenge H-2B Visas

An interesting article from www.numbersusa.com about the AFL-CIO and immigration. This follows this post about Matt Bevin winning the Kentucky governor's race. This follows this post about immigration enforcement in North Carolina. Remember, “Amnesty” means ANY non-enforcement of existing immigration laws! This follows this comment and this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! Also, you can read two very interesting books HERE.

Texas Union Leader Challenge H-2B Visas

Texas AFL-CIO union leader, Michael Cunningham, challenged H-2B visa applications, saying that there are Americans who can fill these positions. H-2B visas are temporary work permits given to low-skilled foreign workers to fill seasonal positions. They're typically used by landscapers, hoteliers, and resort areas.
After a change in immigration law in 2006 required companies seeking foreign workers to inform local labor unions, many unions were flooded with certified letters about the job opportunities being offered to foreign workers. Some companies were looking for a few temporary construction workers while others wanted to hire 100 or more foreign workers, whose wages varied from $3-$10 less per hour than what American construction workers were making.
The companies claimed that they needed the visas to meet the labor needs for jobs that Americans didn’t want to do. Yet, Cunningham claims that most of the time American workers often do not know about these employment opportunities.
The federal government offers 33,000 H-2B visas twice a year, but a surge of U.S. applicants or other disruptions can force a company’s visa application to the back of the line. Cunningham has studied the visa rules and regulations and challenged many applications on simple errors like timeliness and proper job posting language, or on whether the jobs are actually temporary.
He also encourages local union leaders to prove there are enough U.S. workers to fill the job positions. If a company is looking for 100 H-2B visas for foreign welders the local union members will flood the company’s fax machines with resumes from American workers.
One immigration lawyer, Jacob Monty, says a companies’ need for foreign workers is like “getting them on crack”. This addiction can be interrupted when unions challenge visa applications forcing many to the back of the line.
Jordan "Gig" Ritenour, Director of marketing for the international roofers' union and business manager in Texas said, "we were all so amazed that so many contractors are applying for foreign workers when we have thousands of roofers looking for work all the time." He noted that one foreign worker request was looking for a roofer for $8 an hour in comparison to a union member who is paid $22.84 an hour and a non-union member who is paid about $14 an hour.
"The reason employers want to use H-2B workers is because they can get a workforce that they can pay less and who will gladly work under adverse working conditions that are often better than what they can get at home," says Bill Beardall, Director of the Equal Justice Center, which represents workers on H-2B visas.
Last week Rep. Steve Chabot (R-OH) and Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) introduced legislation in both the House and the Senate that would increase the number of H-2B workers accepted into the U.S. each year.
