Lightning Round 2; Georgia and Oklahoma and more states

An interesting post from http://www.alipac.us/  about illegal immigration in Georgia and Oklahoma. This follows this post about illegal immigration bills in Utah and Nebraska and this post which shows that there are 30,000 openly illegal immigrants in the border town of El Paso. On a related note, you can read about Miss Kentucky Latina here, an interesting article about Jessica Alba here or another article about Salma Hayek here. For more that you can do to get involved click HERE and you can read a very interesting book HERE!

Lightning Round 2; Georgia and Oklahoma and more states

Friends of ALIPAC,

This is the second day of our lightning rounds in the states! We have two bills running for the finish line in Georgia and Oklahoma that need your help using the instructions below!

If you have not completed your calls to Nebraska or Utah, please knock those out of the way early today. The Nebraska committee votes at 1:30pm today and it looks like we don't have the votes yet! The Utah Senate continues to push for an Amnesty / Comprehensive Solution that we must stop!

Yesterday's alert on Utah and Nebraska to complete..

Take Action Today in Georgia and Oklahoma!

Effort 1: Georgia

Step 1. Read up on the details in Georgia with this article.

Georgia Moves Closer to Passing Arizona Style Immigration Law

Step 2. Craft your own distinct version of our sample message to Georgia to use for your calls and e-mails.

"I am calling/writing today to ask you to pass an immigration enforcement bill like Arizona's law. I am one of the over 81% of Americans polled who support local police enforcing immigration laws to protect American workers, students, taxpayers, and voters from the negative impact of illegal immigration. Please actively support and vote yes on House Bill 87 to crack down on illegal immigration in Georgia!"

Step 3. Direct your calls, followed by emails, faxes, or letters, to the Georgia house using contact information found at this link...

Effort 2: Oklahoma

Step 1. Read up on the details of our bill in the Oklahoma house with this article.

Oklahoma Close to Cracking Down On Illegal Immigration!

Step 2. Craft your own distinct version of our sample message for the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

"Please support and pass Rep. Faught's HB 1446. We need Oklahoma to crack down on illegal immigration to protect innocent American workers, students, taxpayers, and voters! We need Oklahoma to stand with Arizona by passing this bill. Police should be able to detect illegal aliens and seize their property to help stop illegal immigration. Please pass HB 1446!"

Step 3. Please call, and then write as many lawmakers in Oklahoma as you can before HB 1446 is voted on this week!

These bills in Oklahoma and Georgia are headed for full votes on the floor!

Wins for our side in these two states can be used to prod more states to act in 2011!

We need to hear what you are hearing on the phone during these efforts. Please get those calls rolling and post any questions, suggestions, or reports of info you gather from your calls here at this activism tracking link...
