This week, the House of Representatives is considering H.R. 5326, the Commerce, Justice, and Science (CSJ) Appropriations Act for FY2013. During this process, amendments to this bill will be considered and one of these amendments will be amendment number #59, filed by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC). The amendment "defunds the lawsuit that DOJ is waging against SC and refuses to allow the Obama Administration to politicize an issue instead of seeking to govern responsibly."

Please call your U.S. Representative and urge him/her to support the Duncan amendment, number 59, to the Commerce and Justice Appropriations Act when it is voted on. This amendment is important because it would prevent the Justice Department from continuing its lawsuit against South Carolina's immigration enforcement law.
