This week, the House of Representatives is considering H.R. 5326, the Commerce, Justice, and Science (CSJ) Appropriations Act for FY2013. During this process, amendments to this bill will be considered and one of these amendments will be amendment number #59, filed by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC). The amendment "defunds the lawsuit that DOJ is waging against SC and refuses to allow the Obama Administration to politicize an issue instead of seeking to govern responsibly."

Please call your U.S. Representative and urge him/her to support the Duncan amendment, number 59, to the Commerce and Justice Appropriations Act when it is voted on. This amendment is important because it would prevent the Justice Department from continuing its lawsuit against South Carolina's immigration enforcement law.

Indiana boots worst immigration Republican in Senate‏

Indiana election guarantees one major immigration improvement in 2013 U.S. Senate

ACTION 1 -- Join the conversation about this at: https://www.numbersusa.com/content/nusablog/beckr/may-8-2012/defeated-sen-lugar-worst-immigration-republican-senate-both-gop-dem-indian

Defeated Sen. Lugar nearly always preferred more immigrant workers over helping unemployed Americans

Voters in Indiana today provided another one of those historic shifts in the immigration battles that I have to share with all of you.

Sen. Lugar is one of the last hold-overs of the Republican Senators who not only tried to push through all the Bush amnesties at the beginning of this century but also back in the 1990s helped kill the immigration enforcement and green card reductions recommended by the bi-partisan Barbara Jordan Commission.

No matter which Party wins in November, the Indiana Senate seat now held by Richard Lugar should produce far better immigration actions in the future.

Democrat primary winner Joe Donnelly has a B+ Career immigration grade in the U.S. House.

And the GOP primary victor, Richard Mourdock, filled out the NumbersUSA survey to earn the title of TRUE REFORMER, supporting all 12 of our immigration stances.

In addition, the Libertarian primary victor, Andrew Horning, filled out our survey and looks almost as good as Donnelly on immigration.

Finally, the workers of Indiana -- and the country -- will have a U.S. Senator from Indiana who cares about their interests when it comes to immigration.

NumbersUSA has been sending out tens of thousands of emails to Indiana voters offering comparisons of all the Senate candidates on immigration.

LUGAR IMMIGRATION RECORD PRIME EXAMPLE OF OUT-OF-TOUCH LABEL THAT SANK HIM

Like many Senators who serve for many terms, Sen. Lugar was vulnerable to charges that he no longer had a good feel for the needs of his state's voters. The fact that his greatest reputation is in foreign policy didn't help.

His immigration actions accentuated both those identities because he used immigration as a kind of bargaining chit in his foreign policy gamemanship. The effect on U.S. workers didn't seem to ever come into play.

Indiana Secretary of State Mourdock challenged Lugar in part because of his constant leadership in pushing for amnesties for illegal aliens who have illegally stolen U.S. jobs.

At the time, I issued this statement:

"Sen. Lugar has always seemed to me to be a serious statesman, but that quality has always been missing in his blind eye to the suffering that his immigration policies cause the most vulnerable Americans, as well as the deterioration to the quality of life of ordinary citizens."

Sen. Lugar never met an amnesty he didn't like, voting for amnesties 15 times.

HOW MUCH DID LUGAR HURT UNEMPLOYED AMERICANS? LET ME COUNT THE WAYS

We rated Sen. Lugar on 85 immigration actions since 1989.

When each action was weighted according to the numerical impact, we found that he acted 81% of the time in favor of foreign workers and dependents over the interests of U.S. workers and dependents.

That earned him a D-minus over his career, making him the worst Republican in the Senate (Sen. John McCain of Arizona is runner-up).

He acted 84% of the time in favor of the Chain Migration of extended family of immigrants over the interests of U.S. workers.

He acted 100% of the time in favor of foreign workers brought in through a random lottery.

He acted 98% of the time for amnesty enticements and 76% of the time for other rewards for illegal aliens.

And in 30 votes and co-sponsorships that were about direct importation of workers, he acted more than 99% of the time for more immigrant competition for U.S. workers.

He did give tepid support to secure borders (C+) and interior enforcement (C) but tried to kill a pilot E-Verify program to keep illegal aliens from getting jobs back in 1996.

ACTION 2 -- Check out the immigration comparisons of candidates running for Congress in your District and in your state. If information is missing, follow the instructions to contact the campaigns to press for positions that can be added to our Comparison Pages:

It is so important that voters know where each candidate stands on immigration issues before heading into the polling booth.

Primary elections today in 3 states: We need you standing up against the invasion‏

A very interesting post from www.Alipac.US about three primaries on May 8. This follows this previous post about it. This follows this post about Marco Rubio's DREAM Act. This follows this post about the Black Caucus hurting Black Americans with their immigration stand. This follows this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants such as the 30,000 openly illegal immigrants in the border town of El Paso, where President Barack Obama recently bashed immigration enforcement! Primary elections today in 3 states: We need you standing up against the invasion‏

Today we have very important primary races in Indiana, North Carolina, and West Virginia. If you live in these three states we need you out voting, volunteering and rounding up other like minded Americans and getting them to the polls.

Here are our currently endorsed candidates for 2012

http://www.alipac.us/campaign/

In Indiana, we need you supporting Richard Mourdock for US Senate if you want to help us really strike a blow against the illegal alien Amnesty and invasion supporters in Washington DC. A Mourdock triumph over Dream Act Amnesty co-sponsor Dick Lugar would be a huge win for us. We need your support for Congressman Joe Donnelly in Indiana as well.

In North Carolina, we have our targeted race where Ilario Pantano faces Agjobs Amnesty for illegal aliens supporter David Rouzer in NC's 7th District. I will personally be working at the polls throughout th day to help Pantano. Other members of the Congress needing your support in NC today include, Walter Jones, Howard Coble and Patrick McHenry.

In West Virginia, our ALIPAC endorsed candidate Shelley Moore Capito needs your support today.

If you live in these three states we need your direct action today. If you live outside of these three states, please review our endorsements and if your members of congress or local candidates are not endorsed by ALIPAC then please send them this link for ALIPAC's 2012 Candidate Survey.

http://www.alipac.us/f30/alipacs-201...pledge-253198/

We already have 125 endorsed candidates in 2012 and with your help we can head into the November elections with the largest group of candidates in the history of our organization.

These are the men and women who have the most power to stop Amnesty and stop illegal immigration. Many of them are facing intense opposition in their district by the globalist invasion supporters who are flooding their opponents with campaign cash and pushing redistricting efforts.

Over the last 7 years here at ALIPAC we together have been successful in uniting the most dedicated Americans for the cause. You are over 40,000 strong and if we can get you organized, voting, volunteering, and donating in unison you can have a major impact against illegal immigration.

Let's rally our friends and neighbors and other like minded Americans today. Let's get behind our candidates!

Special thanks to those of you who recently donated to help us launch special support operations behind Mourdock and Pantano.

Sincerely,

William Gheen
