New Ad Attempts to Mislead American People on GOP Principles

A very interesting post from www.numbersusa.com about Mark Zuckerberg's pro-amnesty ad. This follows this post about Republicans who are attacking the GOP base! REMEMBER, “Amnesty” means ANY non-enforcement of existing immigration laws! This follows this comment and this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! For more about what you can do click here and you can read two very interesting books HERE.

New Ad Attempts to Mislead American People on GOP Principles

The Mark Zuckerberg-funded group, Americans for a Conservative Direction, has launched another television ad with the hope of advancing the immigration principles that were unveiled at last week's GOP retreat. Zuckerberg is the founder of both Facebook and the pro-amnesty group FWD.us, which helps subsidize Americans for a Conservative Direction. The ads make an enthusiastic push on behalf of the GOP principles, but the information is vaguely presented in an attempt to mislead the American people.
STEP-BY-STEP APPROACH
The main theme of the ad is to sell the "step-by-step" approach included in the principles. The "step-by-step" process has also been advanced by House Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Budget Committee Chair Paul Ryan, and Judiciary Committee Chair Bob Goodlatte. Here's what the principles say:
"The problems in our immigration system must be solved through a step-by-step, common-sense approach..."
The term "step-by-step" might be one of the more ambiguous terms floating around Washington these days, and its exact meaning could determine how the immigration debate proceeds.
First, does a "step-by-step" approach mean the House will pass enforcement legislation and hold off on anything that deals with the illegal-alien population or legal immigration increases until they see the enforcement provisions faithfully executed? Or, does a "step-by-step" approach mean passing a series of bills and then combining them into one comprehensive bill that's filled with "triggers" and resembles the Schumer-Rubio-Obama amnesty bill before shipping it off to the Senate?
The "step-by-step" comprehensive approach was first introduced by Boehner's immigration staffer Becky Tallent when she served as Director of Immigration Policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center. There, she worked with the Center's Immigration Task Force that was co-chaired by former RNC Chairman Haley Barbour who, coincidently, serves on the board for Americans for a Conservative Direction. Further, the principles seem to indicate that there will eventually be a comprehensive bill with the inclusion of a "trigger" concept:
"...none of this can happen before specific enforcement triggers have been implemented to fulfill our promise to the American people that from here on, our immigration laws will indeed be enforced."
Americans for a Conservative Direction never defines what the "step-by-step" approach means, but by making it the central theme of the plan, they clearly think they can trick the American people with a "step-by-step" approach that will most likely result in a comprehensive bill.
BORDER SECURITY
The ad defines Step 1 as "secure the border and tough employment verification." Again, securing the border is an ambiguous term. For most on the pro-enforcement side, securing the border means actual results, including the standard established by the Secure Fence Act of 2006. That legislation required the Department of Homeland Security to achieve 100% operational control of the border, and defined the border as ALL international land and maritime borders - not just the Southwest border.
The House Homeland Security Committee has already passed a border security bill - the Border Security Results Act of 2013. Could this be the first step of the process? If so, it weakens the border security standard established by the Secure Fence Act. As our legislative analyst Grant Newman has pointed out, the bill would only require DHS to SUMBIT A PLAN to obtain a 90% apprehension rate only along the Southwest border. Furthermore, the bill would allow the agency to develop its own metrics for determining its effectiveness.
The ad implies that the border will be secured before moving on to Step 2, but again, the immigration principles indicate that there could be a broader piece of legislation with "triggers."
EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION
Also defined as part of Step 1 is employment verification. We agree that an effective employment verification system that's used by all employers is the best way to turn off the jobs magnet that causes most illegal immigration, but there's some contradiction between the ad and the actual principles. In the ad, Americans for a Conservative Direction clearly associate workplace verification with E-Verify. (It's displayed on the screen three times!) The principles, however, fail to mention E-Verify:
"It is past time for this country to fully implement a workable electronic employment verification system."
E-Verify has become the most effective tool to combat illegal employment. Just last month, USCIS bragged about how more than 500,000 employers now use E-Verify, and how more than 20 million hirings were processed by the system in 2012. But why did the authors of the principles exclude E-Verify, and why did Americans for a Conservative Direction include it in the ad if it's not part of the principles?
One might suspect that the ad mentions E-Verify because the system is widely-recognized and popular with the American people. In doing so, Americans for a Conservative Direction hope to gain more support for the GOP plan.
The Schumer-Rubio-Obama amnesty bill replaces E-Verify with a new employment verification system. It's possible that the authors of the GOP principles also support creating a new system so it delays its implementation while other parts of the plan (amnesty) are executed more quickly.
AMNESTY
The ad defines both Steps 2 and 3 of the GOP plan as the amnesty. Of course, it explicitly states, however, that the plan is NOT amnesty because anyone here illegally would have to "undergo a criminal background check" and "pay fines, taxes, and learn English." They leave out the part about illegal aliens being able to continue living and working in the United States while millions of foreign citizens try to come the legal way and millions of Americans struggle to find work.
By only focusing on the enforcement and amnesty principles, Americans for a Conservative Direction are trying to keep the attention off of the other principles. Mainly, they completely ignore the massive increases in legal immigration, including green cards for foreign students who graduate from America's colleges and universities and guest worker programs for agriculture and other industries. This is what the Zuckerberg types really want from "reform," but even they know that in a jobs depression with a record number of people not in the labor force, a push for more foreign workers isn't exactly a popular notion. So, they just pretend it doesn't exist.
The ad ends by tugging on the viewer's heart strings with images of children swinging on swings. These are meant to represent the children who were brought to the country illegally by their parents and will receive a special path to citizenship through the GOP plan.
Again, it's not that the new ad is filled with factual errors, but instead, the information is vaguely presented and uses the most popular talking points of any comprehensive immigration plan. It's meant to mislead the American people to gain support for an already unpopular plan in hopes that they'll pressure Congress to move forward anyway.

The unemployment bill includes a major foreign-worker increase -- Tell your Senators to say NO!

A very interesting post from www.numbersusa.com about the worker increase in the unemployment bill. This follows this post about Diane Black attempting to defund the illegal alien advocate position. This follows this post about Chris Christie giving in-state tuition to illegal immigrants in New Jersey. REMEMBER, “Amnesty” means ANY non-enforcement of existing immigration laws! This follows this comment and this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! For more about what you can do click here and you can read two very interesting books HERE.

Dear NumbersUSA activists,
Happy New Year! Only 2 days into this second session of the 113th Congress, we need to ask for your quick attention to help block a major foreign-worker increase amendment in the Senate.
Please go to https://www.numbersusa.com/faxes?ID=15659 and send a fax to your two Senators asking them to OPPOSE Sen. Jerry Moran's Amendment (S. Amdt 2612) to S. 1845, the Emergency Unemployment Compensation Extension Act (DETAILS BELOW).
While NumbersUSA takes no position on the overall legislation or the extension of unemployment benefits, we do oppose major increases in foreign workers, particularly at a time when more than 20 million citizens and legal immigrants are struggling to find full-time work. One can't help but note the irony in Sen. Moran's attempt to permanently increase the number of foreign workers via legislation intended to help unemployed U.S. workers.
Your quick response is particularly needed as this amendment is the first immigration-related piece of legislation in play this year and defeating it will send an important message that Americans oppose increases in immigration, whether or not they are comprehensive increases or piecemeal increases. The fate of the Moran Amendment is surely being monitored by the well-funded advocates of higher immigration such as Mark Zuckerberg's FWD.us and others who have just this week essentially said they are no longer pushing for a comprehensive immigration bill and instead focusing on pushing any and every piecemeal increase they can. While this particular action is in the Senate, you can be sure that the House Leadership is watching closely as they are preparing to set their legislative priorities for the year.

Send a Fax
Yesterday the Senate voted to proceed to the debate over the extension of unemployment benefits (S. 1845). Today, Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) has introduced an amendment to the unemployment extension bill. His amendment would add language that would grant an additional 125,000 permanent foreign workers visas each year.
 Fax your Senator
or click https://www.numbersusa.com/faxes?ID=15659
These permanent visas would be allocated as such: 50,000 to foreign graduates in STEM fields and 75,000 to "immigrant entrepreneurs." While there is some support for increasing the share of qualified STEM-type visas, there is nothing temporary or qualified about the Moran Amendment and it contains no worker protections.

THANK YOU for all you have done and continue to do in the name of sensible immigration policies.

Facebook Bullies – Zuckerberg Pledges $50 million for Attack Ads via FWD.US

Facebook Bullies – Zuckerberg Pledges $50 million for Attack Ads

October 11, 2013 By Kristen Williamson

Mark Zuckerberg from Facebook and he’s raised, well, a lot of his own money, but he’s raised $50 million to run ads supporting people who will support comprehensive immigration reform and to pressure people who may be on the fence.

Facebook Bullies – Zuckerberg Pledges $50 million for Attack Ads

Some Members of Congress say they support amnesty for humanitarian reasons. Some say they want to admit more guest workers because there is an economic need. Many claim it’s just the “right thing to do.”

Few explicitly reveal what’s really going on – it’s all about the money.

Last week, Senate and House “gang” members participated in an event hosted by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Eight Democrats and two Republicans (Senator John McCain and Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart) attended.

The respective Senate and House panels contained the same platitudes in favor of amnesty and the expansion of legal immigration, but the update on the progress towards a House bill was particularly interesting.

Maybe feeling comfortable in his surroundings and forgetting the event was streaming live over the internet, Rep. John Yarmuth (D-Ky.) took the opportunity to get a little boastful about the prospects of amnesty legislation:

“There’s virtually nobody organized against comprehensive immigration reform…We have the growers and the farm works. When we have the AFL-CIO and the Chamber of Congress agreeing. We have the high-tech industry…”

What a resounding endorsement for amnesty and mass immigration! Naturally the organizations and industries that stand to profit the most have expressed support for the Senate amnesty bill.

What a resounding endorsement for amnesty and mass immigration! Naturally the organizations and industries that stand to profit the most have expressed support for the Senate amnesty bill. The AFL-CIO and other struggling unions are eyeing potential dues paying members. The agricultural industry wants a guest worker program that makes it even easier to attract foreign workers for substandard pay. And the Chamber of Commerce and tech industry are clamoring to hire skilled and non-skilled workers from overseas to do jobs unemployed and underemployed Americans would do for a just compensation.

More disturbing is Rep. Yarmuth’s second reason for being optimistic about amnesty:

“And probably the most significant factor is there is no money on the other side of this issue. There’s nobody out there ready to spend $100 million to defeat comprehensive immigration reform.

In fact, all the money is on the side of pushing it. And just a couple weeks ago we met with Mark Zuckerberg from Facebook and he’s raised, well, a lot of his own money, but he’s raised $50 million to run ads supporting people who will support comprehensive immigration reform and to pressure people who may be on the fence.”

So, politics-as-usual prevails in Washington, but here we have a Member of Congress actually admitting that money talks. Forget about representing constituents, Americans, even legal residents – Zuckerberg has $50 million to run ads against you if you don’t support amnesty for illegal aliens and a massive influx of legal workers that will make his industry even more profitable.

Rep. Yarmuth closed by saying:

“And I think the most compelling thing that he said when we met with him was – and he raised this from his buddies in the high-tech industry – but he said they didn’t give money to this cause because of economic reasons. They gave it because of humanitarian reasons. And that’s really significant.”

Keep telling yourself that, Zuckerberg. You and the young Silicon Valley set who have donated to Zuckerberg’s FWD.us claim to be compassionate millenials, but clearly you should get off your high horses. Admit that you’re no better than the big business leaders who came before you – using money and threats to put big business interests before Americans.

Pro-Amnesty Conservatives to Lobby Congress This Month

A very interesting post from www.NumbersUSA.com about “conservative” pro-amnesty groups. This follows this post about Columbus Day being opposed by pro-amnesty groups. This follows this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! For more about what you can do click here and you can read two very interesting books HERE.

Pro-Amnesty Conservatives to Lobby Congress This Month

posted on NumbersUSA

Later this month a group of conservatives who support efforts to give work permits, legal status, or citizenship to illegal aliens will be holding a "fly-in" to meet with Republican Congressmen in an effort to get them to support legislation that amnesties illegal aliens. The group, numbering more than 300, includes pastors, farmers, police chiefs, and business owners among its number.

One of those visiting the House of Representatives on Oct. 28 will be Jeremy Hudson, a pastor from House Speaker John Boehner's district: "I'm not an advocate of open borders. I'm not an advocate of blanket amnesty. I just see (undocumented immigrants) who are hurting and want to contribute to their family ... and the system is not working for them."

Another participant is 70 year-old Idaho rancher Terry Jones, who got tired of looking for legal workers: "I was getting too old to fuss with finding the labor. We're not here wanting to break the laws. Heavens to Betsy, we've got stewardship of the land and our animals, employees we want to treat right and pay a fair wage to. But the government is just interested in ... who's going to get the credit, who's going to get the votes."

The fly-in is funded by organizations, many who hold non-conservative ideals, who want Congress to pass comprehensive amnesty. Among these groups are New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Parternship for a New American Economy, FWD.US, which is funded by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and other Silicon Valley tech titans, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

New Amnesty supporting GOP lawmakers detected: Hit em hard

A very interesting post from www.Alipac.US about GOP Representatives that FACEBOOK analyzes as leaning towards amnesty with all of their microtargeting. New Amnesty supporting GOP lawmakers detected: Hit em hard

ALIPAC
Wow, we really got a big response out of the biased liberal publications like Huffington Post and other George Soros backed groups yesterday when we hit www.FWD.us and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and pointed out how illegal aliens are trying to hijack our government like terrorists trying to take over a plane cockpit!

Yes, it is true that the 9/11 terrorists exploited our immigration laws and security gaps to attack America, and while you may not term them "illegal immigrants," illegal immigrants do the same when they break into America or overstay visas and then go on to steal taxpayer resources, steal an American job, or brutalize or kill an American citizen.

So many readers of these biased liberal propaganda machines supporting Amnesty seem shocked by our statement that thousands of Americans are being killed by illegal aliens each year, but this is a fact! Our government's failure to secure our borders, track visa overstays, and adequately enforce our existing immigration laws is resulting in the deaths of thousands of Americans each year, and publications like the Huffington Post do their best to both conceal these mass atrocities and attack any messenger of truth that would highlight them.

This is exactly what happened yesterday on 9/11 2013 about an hour after our e-mail went out to you. ALIPAC being hit by opposition anti aircraft fire tells us we are over the correct targets!

We have more good news to report beyond the fact that we generated quite a response from the Amnesty traitors yesterday.

We discovered 4 more GOP lawmakers over at Mark Zuckerberg's pro Amnesty organization FWD.us that we think may go their way on Amnesty legislation this year all thanks to your efforts!

Many of you were NOT ABLE TO GET A RESPONSE BECAUSE IT APPEARS ZUCKERBERG'S SITE STOPPED GIVING US THE NAMES OF THE TURNCOATS ONCE THEY FOUND OUT WE WERE MAPPING THAT INFORMATION.

But here are 4 more names to add to our DC amnesty sellout list.. Spencer Bauchus, Pete King, Devin Nunes, and John Carter

Step 1: Call, email, fax, tweet, and Facebook post to each of these Amnesty supporting lawmakers we have detected via the opposition site fwd.us. Remember that each office will deny supporting Amnesty, but you must hold them to it.

Step 2: Call in and post your own personalized and distinctive version of our sample message. Do not copy our sample message as it will be discarded or filtered out unless you rewrite it your way.

"I am writing/calling Congressman _____ to say I am very disappointed to learn he is supporting Amnesty for illegal aliens and that Mark Zuckerberg's group FWD.us is asking illegal alien supporters to call him to thank him for supporting Comprehensive Immigration Reform Amnesty! Your office needs to listen to American citizens like me and not cheap labor advocates and illegal aliens. Legalizing illegal immigrants will only lead to more illegal immigration, more losses and hardships for American citizens, and a loss of any future border or immigration law control. Stop supporting Zuckerberg's Amnesty now!"

Hit them hard on the phones, their Twitter accounts, and their Facebook pages this week and don't let up!
