Why Is Israel the Focus of Muslim Hostility?

Why Is Israel the Focus of Muslim Hostility?

At the heart of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is ongoing hatred among Muslim nations toward Israel and the Jewish people. What are the underlying causes?

Why Is Israel the Focus of Muslim Hostility?

The conflict between the Israelis and surrounding Muslim nations has been raging since the Jewish state's inception —and the origins go back much further. Today the hostility is growing in openness and intensity, making the prospects for peace in the Middle East dim.
The Arab Spring uprisings throughout the region are allowing the wider expression of popular sentiments among the Muslim masses—inflaming the ancient animosity.
While not all Muslims feel antipathy toward Jews and Israel, there is widespread dislike and resentment by the majority, as repeatedly borne out in polls and surveys. The Pew Global Attitudes Project survey conducted last summer found that almost no one in the Muslim Middle East thinks positively toward Israel and the Jewish people.
"Ratings of Jews are dismal in the seven predominantly Muslim nations surveyed" (Pew Research Center, Common Concerns About Islamic Extremism: Muslim-Western Tensions Persist, July 21, 2011, p. 22). In the six of these nations that are in the Middle East or adjacent to it, only 2 to 4 percent express favorable opinions of Jews.
It is amazing that the small nation of Israel, composed of only about 8,000 square miles of land—roughly two times the size of Rhode Island—generates so much ill feeling.
Israel's territory is only about one-sixth of one percent that of the 22 hostile Arab nations that are 640 times her size. And they have 45 times more people than Israel—340 million Arabs versus 7.7 million Israeli citizens (more than a million of whom are themselves Arab).
Yet fiery rhetoric calling for the destruction of Israel can be heard in political speeches and mosque sermons throughout the Muslim world, from Iran to Libya and in other places around the globe—including Western nations.
An example of the growing hostility toward Israel can be found across its southern border in Egypt with the increasing influence there of the Muslim Brotherhood. This organization has sired 86 branches across the Islamic world since the 1920s. The more dominant ones are in Egypt, Jordan, Syria and the Palestinian territories (the branch in the latter being the terror group Hamas, which now runs Gaza).
Comments like the following from Muslim Brotherhood spokesman Kamal al Halbawi, made while speaking at an official visit to Iran in July 2011, are all too common: "Both nations [Iran and Egypt] underline the necessity for Muslim nations to maintain solidarity and unity to annihilate this cancerous tumor (Israel) . . . Every night when I go to bed, I pray to wake up the next day to see Israel is wiped off the map" (quoted by "ADL [Anti-Defamation League] Report: Muslim Brotherhood's Open Hostility to Israel Could Play Destabilizing Role In Egypt And Region," ADL.org, Sept. 19, 2011).
Let's consider the root causes of such widespread Muslim animosity against Israel.

Indoctrination and propaganda

Conflict between Muslims Jews, and Christians has been around since Islam began in the seventh century A.D. But it's been exacerbated in recent times by an indoctrination of religious intolerance and anti-Semitic propaganda in the Muslim world.
The indoctrination is led by Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, which has been asserting itself as the world's authoritative voice for the religion. An important avenue for its gaining influence has been through Saudi charities funding Wahhabi madrassas (schools) and mosques in many nations (Wahhabism being an extremist form of Islam embraced by terror groups like al-Qaeda).
An illustration of the ongoing indoctrination is furnished by a 2006 study by theCenter for Religious Freedom and the Institute for Gulf Affairs: "As demonstrated by excerpts from the dozen current Islamic studies textbooks analyzed in this report, the Saudi public school religious curriculum continues to propagate an ideology of hate toward the 'unbeliever,' that is, Christians, Jews, Shiites, Sufis, Sunni Muslims who do not follow Wahhabi doctrine, Hindus, atheists and others.
"This ideology is introduced in a religion textbook in the first grade and reinforced and developed in following years of the public education system, culminating in the twelfth grade, where a text instructs students that it is a religious obligation to do 'battle' against infidels in order to spread the faith" ("Saudi Arabia's Curriculum of Intolerance," 2006, p. 10).
That's what the study found after the Saudi Arabian government said it had reformed its school system and textbooks to be more tolerant. The study goes on to provide numerous excerpts that make the point, like these from an eighth-grade schoolbook:
"'They [the Jews] are the people of the Sabbath, whose young people God turned into apes, and whose old people God turned into swine to punish them.' 'As cited in Ibn Abbas: The apes are Jews, the keepers of the Sabbath; while the swine are the Christian infidels of the communion of Jesus'" (p. 24).
With such ideology exported to madrassas around the world, a great many Muslims everywhere have been using textbooks with the same perspective and approach.
One might wonder why the Saudi government would sponsor the radicalization of Islamic education. It appears the strategy has been to direct the hatred of the native populace toward Israel and Western nations and away from dissatisfaction with the local national government, which might lead to rebellion.
The same has been true in other Muslim states, where government-controlled education and press have incited populations against the Israelis, Americans and other Westerners. Again, the focus is thereby taken away from dissatisfaction with local regimes.
The Arab Spring has brought the focus back on local government, but the instilled misperceptions and hatred of Israel and the West remain (with many wanting to strike out in contrast to the inaction of past regimes).
On top of the damage of formal education in this regard is a steady onslaught of media propaganda poisoning Muslim minds against the Jewish people from a young age. Arab cartoons and other children's shows typically portray Jews as evil and bloodthirsty, and some present suicide bombing against them as heroic. A TV show for Palestinian children was hosted by a Mickey Mouse–style character calling for war against the Israelis—until he was depicted as being killed on the show by "terrorist" Jews!
Such incessant indoctrination and propaganda has had a real impact. In the Arab countries surveyed by the Pew Research Center, large majorities of Muslims who say some religions are more prone to violence consider Judaism to be the most violent religion by 77 to 97 percent (p. 23). This despite the fact that it's the Jewish Israelis who've been repeatedly attacked by Muslims and Muslims themselves who have killed hundreds of thousands of other Muslims in conflicts and wars during recent decades!
Add to all this a left-leaning media in the West that looks on the Jewish state as a past partner in perceived U.S. imperialism abroad, as a nation basing its right to exist on what they see as the antiquated and foolish notion of biblical authority, as an "occupier" and "oppressor" of the Palestinians, and as the intractable main obstacle to Middle East peace, and the hatred of Israel seems further justified to many of the Muslims in Western nations.
Then there's the semblance of legitimacy to condemning the Jewish state lent by the United Nations General Assembly, which has been anti-Israel for years. This body represents the nations of the world, but many of them are Islamic and thuggish dictatorships trying to direct focus away from their own atrocities and misrule—Israel providing a convenient target of scorn and censure.

Distortion of the refugee issue

No doubt, the principal issue over which the state of Israel has been criticized is that of the Palestinians—the refusal to allow refugees their "right of return" and the "occupation" of Palestinian lands both garnering region-wide and worldwide sympathy. Israel's supposed recalcitrance is blamed for the ongoing failures of the peace process—leading to widespread condemnation and bitterness.
Yet here, too, propaganda is a major factor. Ignored is the fact that this situation exists because the Arab states attempted to destroy the state of Israel at its founding in 1948 and later in the Six-Day War of 1967.
The League of Arab States, or Arab League, was formed in 1945—mainly to unite Arab countries in opposition to the emergence of a Jewish state. Then, in 1948, five nations of the newly formed Arab League took up arms against the state of Israel following its U.N.-mandated independence.
Arabs in territory allotted to Israel who joined the invaders at that time ended up fleeing or were driven out. They became refugees in surrounding Arab states, and these states have refused them settlement, preferring to keep them in refugee camps to maintain political pressure against Israel—to get the Israelis to accept their right to return.
The Israelis, however, recognize this is a strategy to destroy the Jewish state by flooding Israel with millions of descendants of those original Arab refugees who will use Israel's democratic form of government to transform it into just another Arab state.
Following the Arabs' blockade of Israel that led to the 1967 war, the Israelis took possession of the Jordanian territory known as the West Bank, of the Syrian territory of the Golan Heights, and of the Egyptian territories of Gaza and Sinai (eventually returning Sinai and withdrawing from Gaza). Besides the fact that the West Bank is really the ancient Israelite homeland of Samaria and Judah, the Israelis took over and have maintained control of this territory principally as a defensive measure—since without this buffer territory Israel is less than 10 miles wide at some points.
It's interesting to note that it was in 1964, well before the 1967 war, that the Arab League established the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), whose charter states that "the liberation of Palestine, from an Arab viewpoint, is a national duty." This was before Israel's acquisition of the West Bank and other territories in the Six-Day War. While Israel had made small territorial gains in 1948, it's important to see that in Arab eyes, the intended area of "Palestine liberation" was the entire area of the state of Israel.
And just who has and has not been willing to negotiate? Following the 1967 War, the Arab League issued the Khartoum Resolution with its "Three No's": "no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with it."
For many years the PLO under its longtime chairman Yasser Arafat was basically a terrorist organization. After he and the group were eventually legitimized in the sight of the Western world, negotiations were entered into. But these did not lead to peace—only more intifadas or uprisings.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered extreme concessions, eventually 91 percent of the West Bank, but it was not enough for Arafat. It's been speculated that Palestinian leaders did not then actually want self-governance, as they would've needed to spend the large amounts of aid sent to them on national infrastructure and could no longer blame the plight of their people on the Israelis.
Not much changed when Mahmoud Abbas succeeded Arafat as president of the Palestinian Authority. Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice recalls a personal one-on-one meeting in 2008 with then Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert:
"Olmert started talking again. 'I know what he [Abbas] needs. He needs something on refugees and on Jerusalem. I'll give him enough land, maybe something like 94 percent with swaps. I have an idea about Jerusalem. There will be two capitals, one for us in West Jerusalem and one for the Palestinians in East Jerusalem'" ( No Higher Honor: A Memoir of My Years in Washington, 2011, p. 651).
In addition, Olmert was willing to put an international body in charge of holy sites and allow 5,000 Arab refugees to settle in Israel.
Rice says that while Abbas started negotiations right away, his insistence that a larger number of refugees and their descendants be allowed to settle in Israel under the right of return became a deal breaker.
Over the last few years the Palestinian Authority has, with one short exception, avoided direct talks with Israel. Instead, this past September Abbas took a request for statehood to the United Nations, effectively bypassing the direct negotiations required by the 1993 Oslo accords signed by both Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
So the idea that Israel is the hindrance to peace negotiations really doesn't hold water.

A worldview of expansion with no retreat

Key to all this is a critical factor many fail to understand. Underlying the Palestinian conflict and Muslim attitudes toward Israel is the fact that the very existence of the Jewish state is intolerable from the perspective of many Muslims.
The establishment of the state of Israel in 1948 and the ensuing defeat of the invading Arab armies was seen by the Arabs as a disastrous humiliation—known as the Nakba or "catastrophe." Later defeats and the fact that Israel still exists magnify the disgrace.
Yet it was not a mere nationalist humiliation. This was a catastrophe because it was a shaming affront to their religion—striking at the very heart of Islam.
What needs to be realized is that, in Islamic theology, the world is divided into two great spheres of influence. One is Dar al-Salaam, meaning "Abode of Peace," a term used to describe Muslim-controlled lands (sometimes also called Dar al-Islam, meaning "Abode of Islam").
The other is Dar al-Harb, meaning "Abode of Struggle" or "Abode of War." This term is used to denote all other lands. By this very terminology, all non-Muslim lands are defined as areas where Islam must struggle or war so that these areas may be converted to Dar al-Islam, lands ruled by Islam—the ultimate objective being the entire world brought under the rule of Islam.
It's important to understand that, in the thinking of millions of the world's 1.5 billion Muslims, it is an abomination for any land that was once Dar al-Islam, territory controlled by Muslims, to become Dar al-Harb, "Abode of Struggle," in which Muslims have lost control and seen it revert back to rule by non-Muslims (infidels). This goes directly against the Koran and other teachings of Muhammad, which avow that ultimately the entire world is to be under the control of Islam (see "Does the Koran Promote Peace and Cooperation?").
Because these concepts are so foreign to Western thinking, these distinctions are lost on most Westerners—and, tragically, particularly on their governments and leaders. Yet it explains why, in more than a dozen nations across the globe, Muslims are waging war along the edges of the Islamic world to convert more lands to Dar al-Islam.

Israeli territory claimed to belong to Muslims

It also explains why most Muslims in general, and Arabs in particular, are fundamentally opposed to the existence of a Jewish state of Israel. They don't want a two-state solution, unless it is only as a temporary measure. They want a single Palestinian state "from the sea to the sea" as they define it—from the Dead Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, with no place for Israel at all.
Israel, you see, is an "infidel" country sitting on land that was once Dar al-Islam, the land of Islam, and thus its existence is an abomination. We can see this ideology plainly set forth in the charter of the Islamic Resistance Movement, better known as the terrorist group Hamas (the same group that controls Gaza, from which rockets and mortar shells are regularly fired into Israeli towns):
"The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine [which in Hamas' perspective includes not just Gaza and the West Bank but the entire state of Israel] is an Islamic Waqf [inalienable endowment] consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up.
"Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated for Moslem generations until Judgement Day. This being so, who could claim to have the right to represent Moslem generations till Judgement Day?
"This is the law governing the land of Palestine in the Islamic Sharia (law) and the same goes for any land the Moslems have conquered by force, because during the times of (Islamic) conquests, the Moslems consecrated these lands to Moslem generations till the Day of Judgement...This Waqf remains as long as earth and heaven remain. Any procedure in contradiction to Islamic Sharia, where Palestine is concerned, is null and void" ("Hamas Covenant," Aug. 18, 1988, Article 11).
Given this underlying ideology, it's no wonder that the Arab nations formed the Arab League to oppose the emergence of the Israeli state. This explains why the failure to prevent its establishment was viewed as a humiliating catastrophe. And we can clearly see why the "liberation of Palestine" is considered an Arab national duty. After all, the validity of Islam itself is at stake!
But there's more to it still. Worse than being a tiny infidel nuisance, Israel is a major power in the region—largely because of support from the West, particularly the United States and Great Britain. Indeed, Israel is seen as an agent of the United States in the Muslim Middle East. The Jewish state and Britain have been referred to as "the Little Satans," while America is labeled "the Great Satan." Thus, the Great Satan is perceived as having a foothold amidst Dar al-Islam.
According to a recent Zogby International poll conducted in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates—sponsored by the Arab American Institute Foundation—"when asked to choose 'the greatest obstacle to peace and stability in the Middle East,' once again the 'occupation of Palestinian lands' and 'U.S. interference in the Arab world' rank as the top two concerns" ("Arab Attitudes, 2011," p. 5). Probably the real concern is these posing a threat to Islam—upsetting the Dar al-Salaam ("Abode of Peace").
Indeed, as the United States and Britain are predominantly Christian, their interference in the Middle East and presumed use of Israel as a proxy are seen by many Muslims as, effectively, a continuation of the Crusades (fought a thousand years ago between professing Christians and Muslims for control of the Holy Land). Yet, while the Christian powers are next in line to be dealt with in the thinking of many, Israel, because of proximity and its occupation of formerly Muslim territory, is seen as the immediate threat in need of elimination.
All this is a major part of why Israel has had to fight five wars for survival in a little over 60 years of existence and suffers from continuing terrorist bombings and rocket attacks. And it's a big reason Israel's continued existence is an ongoing intolerable disgrace to fundamentalist Muslims around the world, with a number perpetually calling for it to be wiped from the map.
Yet the irrational hatred goes even deeper.

Ancient family feud and evil spirit influence

The origins of the strife we see today between many Islamic Arab people and the Jews in Israel can actually be traced back nearly 4,000 years.
The Bible records that God appeared to a man named Abram, later renamed Abraham, and promised him a son whose descendants would become a great nation. When his wife Sarai could not afterward conceive a child, she suggested that Abram take her Egyptian servant girl Hagar as a surrogate mother. And Hagar bore a son named Ishmael.
God gave Hagar this prophetic promise: "I will so increase your descendants that they will be too numerous to count . . . You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael ['God hears'], for the Lord has heard of your misery.
"He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers" (Genesis:16:10-12, New International Version, 1984, emphasis added throughout).
Some 12 to 13 years after Ishmael was born, God appeared again to Abram with another promise: "As for Sarai your wife...I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her'" (verses 15-16).
God changed her name to Sarah. She had been barren all her life and was past normal childbearing age. Through God's miraculous intervention she bore a son, Isaac. His descendants would become the 12 tribes of the nation of Israel, which included the tribe of Judah—predominately today's Jews.
Ishmael, God said, would father 12 princes and become a "great nation" (verse 20), though God's greater blessings and covenant would be with Isaac. The Arabs acknowledge Ishmael as their progenitor.
Ishmael and his mother were eventually sent away from the family. And another divide in the family came when Isaac's son Jacob (later renamed Israel) schemed against his brother Esau or Edom. The divisions in the family—between Israelites and Ishmaelites and between Israelites and Edomites—would persist until the last days, with hostility increasing, as God foretold.
For more details on what happened and how this family division has continued over the ages, request or download our free booklet The Middle East in Bible Prophecy .
And besides the family dynamic and specific prophecies God has given, another underlying reason for the hatred of Israel among Muslim nations is no doubt the same one that exists for virulent anti-Semitism around the world. As the level of hatred and antagonism is completely irrational, we should recognize in it a spiritual cause.
The world is ruled over and deceived by a spirit being, Satan the devil, and his demonic cohorts, who hate God. And they have incited people to hatred against God's people throughout history. Moreover, the preservation of the Jewish people and their return to the Holy Land to establish a state is a validation of the promises and prophecies of the Bible—a great frustration to enemies of God's Word.

Hostility builds at the time of the end

What all this adds up to is these under-lying forces continuing to generate Muslim hostility towards the Jews and Israel, growing in intensity as we approach the end of this age.
Psalm 83 contains an intriguing prophecy that reveals this growing hostility will play out in a confederation of Muslim peoples determined to eliminate Israel as a nation:
"They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, 'Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more'" (verses 3-4).
This prophecy goes on to mention specific areas and peoples that will be involved. Our research reveals that some or all of the following will likely participate in this anti-Israel alliance—the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, northern Iraq, and Arab states throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
Out of this group of nations will likely come the end-time leader Daniel the prophet calls the "king of the South." He will arise from the Muslim world and set in motion a cascade of events that will lead to unimaginable carnage in the final world war before Jesus Christ returns (Daniel:11:40).
This confrontation begins with some aggressive move of the king of the South toward what Daniel calls the "king of the North," an end-time European-centered superpower that will then occupy parts of the Middle East, including Israel.
The entire world will eventually be pulled into this developing maelstrom. Jesus Christ called the time of this final world war the "great tribulation" and said He would have to intervene to save humankind from total annihilation (Matthew:24:21-22).
The good news is that peace between these hostile peoples will finally come as former enemies learn the way of peace from the Prince of Peace. Hatred and violence will at last be no more!

Lebanese Olympic Team Refuses to Train Next to Israeli Jews; Apartheid Olympics Erects Barrier

A very interesting post from www.DebbieSchlussel.com about the Israeli Olympic team being victimized. This follows this post about Michele Bachmann's analysis of Keith Ellison. .  This follows this article about American energy independence and preventing money from going to hostile countries such as Iran and Venezuela. Lebanese Olympic Team Refuses to Train Next to Israeli Jews; Apartheid Olympics Erects Barrier

By Debbie Schlussel

Though the London Olympic Games Opening Ceremonies take take place tonight, the ghosts of the Islamic terrorists at Munich win yet again. Jacques Rogge, the anti-Semitic International Olympic Committee chief, who refuses to memorialize the Israeli athletes slain at Munich by those terrorists,  built an apartheid structure for intolerant, anti-Semitic Lebanese Olympic team members who refuse to be anywhere near Israelis ‘cuz they might get the cooties or something. If Rogge had any testicles–and he does not, or even a modicum of decency (and he ain’t got that either), he’d tell the Lebanese to get lost. And FYI, many of the Lebanese competitors are not Muslims. Some are Chistian. But they hate Jews just the same. Face that fact. It’s not just Islam. It’s Arabia. (As I recently told you, Lebanese recording artist and Christian Arab, Najwa Karam, said her ideal man would be part Hitler.) And Lebanon is basically Hezbollahstan these days to anybody who knows anything about what’s going on there.

By the way, this is the Olympics that already banned a Greek athlete for making a racist comment. But the Lebanese Arab bigotry, well, that’s tolerated.

Olympic Apartheid: IOC Builds Anti-Jewish “Barrier” ‘Cuz Israeli Olympic Team Judoka & Medalist Ariel “Arik” Ze’evi “Might Give the Lebanese the Cooties

The Lebanese judo team at the 2012 London Olympics refused to practice next to the Israeli one on Friday afternoon, and a makeshift barrier was erected to split their gym into two halves.

According to several Hebrew sports sites, the two teams were scheduled to use the same gym and mats at London’s new ExCeL center for their final preparations. However, the delegation from Lebanon would not train in view of the Israeli team, and insisted some sort of barrier be placed between them.

Organizers accepted the Lebanese coach’s demand to separate the teams, erecting a barrier so that the Lebanese team wouldn’t see the Israeli one.

And, yet, you will never ever hear the mainstream media or the left label Lebanon or Arabs or Muslims with the “apartheid” epithet, despite the fact that the Lebanese won’t work out near the Israelis without a barrier erected. You won’t hear the same disdain the media and the left have when Israel is forced to erect a security fence. And, as we know, the Lebanese Arabs are quick and fast with apartheid separations. They have strictly enforced detailed laws against the Palestinians who cannot live anywhere but inside refugee camps, can’t be citizens, and cannot even have their kids compete in the same soccer leagues with Lebanese children.

Yup, the Arabs–with whom Israel is supposed to make peace–cannot live with each other . . . and, now, they cannot even have the decency to work out in the same gym at the Olympics.

Nothing has changed since the 1972 massacre. Nothing . . . except that the Olympic organizers react even more quickly to acquiesce to the Arabs anti-Jewish, apartheid demands.

Remember Them . . .

Remember Who Murdered Them . . .

Wknd Box Office: Act of Valor, Wanderlust, Gone

Here is an interesting article from http://www.debbieschlussel.com/  reviewing some of the movies that came out over the past weekend. This follows this post some of the movies from last week and  THIS POST about some movies that have been released over the past few years that you might have missed!  This all  follows this post about guidelines to chosing good movies to watch yourself!

Wknd Box Office: Act of Valor, Wanderlust, Gone

By Debbie Schlussel

I can’t really recommend any of the new movies debuting in theaters, this weekend. But here’s what I saw:

* “Act of Valor“: You’ve probably already read my full review column on this trash.  What could have been a decent made-for-TV movie with real-life Navy SEALS trying their hands at acting, instead became an anti-Semitic diatribe in which the main terrorist financier and torturer of CIA agents is, not Muslim, but Jewish.  No thanks.  I’ve had enough Goebbels-quality cinema to last a century, but Leni Riefenstahl would be proud.  Read my complete review.

FOUR GOEBBELS PLUS A BIN LADEN AND AN ARAFAT

* “Wanderlust“: At times, this movie was extremely funny. And I give credit to any movie that makes funny of hippies, left-wing morons, animal rights activists, free love advocates, vegans, and other forms of New Age wacko-ism. This movie did all that and even exposed a hippie “leader”/”guru as a complete fraud and charlatan.

However, it went a little too far for me and was kinda gross. A baby being raised with its placenta still attached and at the table at dinner, all kinds of feces and bathroom jokes, and other assorted bathroom humor/eeuuw-inducing stuff–yuck! Ditto for a nudist’s penis in everyone’s face and scenes with lots of senior citizen nudists running around. It’s a sagging, disgusting scene I can’t get out of my mind. And the movie was more than a little annoying, which pretty much sums up how I feel about star Jennifer Aniston. She’s annoying, and she plays herself in every failed movie she does. It gets old. I’ve had enough of Rachel from “Friends,” still desperate to stay relevant years later.

Aniston and Paul Rudd play a New York couple who buy a “micro-loft,” which is a euphemism for tiny studio apartment that costs a fortune. But, right after that, Rudd loses his job and Aniston’s documentary about arctic penguins with testicular cancer doesn’t sell to HBO. They are broke and must move out of the apartment and seek work elsewhere, while staying at Rudd’s annoying rich brother’s house in suburban Atlanta. On the way, they get stuck at a “bed and breakfast” in the middle of nowhere, called Elysium. It turns out to be a hippie commune. And, after a brief time there, they decide to give the commune and hippie life a try, though Aniston is more into it than Rudd.

Being the only intelligent, normal, and sane person amidst these hippie nutcases is difficult for Rudd and the source of much of the movie’s comedy. But he’s pretty much the only likable person in the entire movie. Aniston’s character was selfish back in New York and she’s selfish at the commune. She’s the reason they were stuck in the commune in the first place. I, frankly, couldn’t understand why Rudd’s character didn’t quickly dump her, and I wanted him to. Wives like her are the reason a lot of men get into troubled scenarios like this.

Not my kind of movie and too much that is just plain gross. Plus the ending was cheesy and so very predictable.

ONE-AND-A-HALF MARXES

* “Gone“: This was not screened for critics, but like an idiot, I went to the Midnight show last night, so I could post a review of it for you, today. When will I learn that almost all of the movies not screened for us are crap? It’s the occasional good ones that keep making me enough of a sucker to go see the ones which have trailers that appeal to me. Sadly, the trailer is almost always a major league lie.

This was long, slow, boring, and stupid. It involves a cockamamie, uninteresting plot centering around Amanda Seyfried, who plays a victim of a serial killer that got away. She lives with her college-student sister in Portland, and is constantly looking to find the pit in the woods from which she escaped her attacker. The police believe she made the whole story up and there is no serial killer. But she believes the serial killer is watching her, so he can finally put her out of her misery. Her sister goes missing and she searches for the killer.

Believe me, when I tell you that the description makes it sound far more intriguing and exciting than it is. I struggled to stay awake because it was that bad.

Skipworthy to the max.

TWO-AND-A-HALF MARXES

Act of Valor OUTRAGE: Navy SEALs Movie’s Terrorist is . . . JEWISH (Tortures, Murders CIA Agents, Smuggles Jihadists into U.S.)

By Debbie Schlussel

It’s official: “Act of Valor” is anti-Semitic tripe wrapped in the American flag with a Navy SEAL cherry on top. The movie, which debuts in theaters today, goes to great pains to tell you that the largest terrorist plot against America is perpetrated by a Jew. Did the Stormfront guys write this crap? In case there’s any doubt, “But you’re Jewish!” is shouted by a real-life Navy SEAL interrogator who heads SEAL Team 7 featured in the movie and goes by the nickname, “Senior.” Apparently “Senior” forgot this, but the last time I checked, the guys behind 9/11 were not named Osama Bin Cohen and Khalid Sheikh Horowitz. Ditto for the guys behind every major terrorist attack against Americans, whether on U.S. soil or abroad. The Beirut bombing and murder of over 300 U.S. Marines and civilians? Here’s a tip, Navy SEALS: It wasn’t perpetrated by HezboLox&Bagels. And the guy just sentenced for trying to blow up a plane full of Americans with his underwear isn’t Umar Farouk AbdulEpstein.

But, apparently, the real life Navy SEALs and their wives and kids who participated in this movie don’t have a problem with portraying Jews as “jihadist terrorists,” nor do the many Pentagon officials who approved their participation and the movie’s production. Ditto for Mike “Mouse” McCoy and Scott Waugh, former stuntmen and the first time directors who made this movie. They apparently believe that Jews torture CIA agents and smuggle jihadists into the U.S. with suicide bomb vests, NOT Muslims.

The Pentagon and the Navy have both declined to respond to my questions regarding this absolutely disgusting display of anti-Semitism, which wasn’t necessary and ruined what would have been an otherwise good movie. They didn’t have to make the terrorist financier Jewish. They chose to. This was clearly gratuitously inserted for some agenda. Goebbels would be proud. Sad that Rush Limbaugh had no problem with this, either, as he gushed over the movie. Does he also believe the real men behind the jihadists are Russian Jews (or any Jews at all)?

There’s been a lot of hype surrounding “Act of Valor,” and, sad to say, I bought into it until I saw the movie and couldn’t have been more disgusted and outraged. But none of the hype tells you that at the heart of the movie is major anti-Semitism. Gee, I wonder why the “But You’re Jewish!” line isn’t in the trailer. The movie features a Russian Jewish millionaire, “Christos” (played by Ukrainian actor Alex Veadov) as a terrorist mastermind who kills a CIA agent, kidnaps and tortures another CIA agent, and then helps a friend of his smuggle jihadists wearing bomb belts into the United States from Mexico in a plot “100 times bigger than 9/11.” Um, how many Russian Jewish billionaires are illegal alien smugglers into America’s southern border? None. Juan and Jesus ain’t exactly Russian Jewish names. But why let the facts get in the way of this government-approved anti-Semitic propaganda, right?

That Was Then (Goebbels Propaganda Against Jews) . . .

This Is Now (Navy SEALs Propaganda Against Jews). . .

While it is true that his childhood friend, “Karimov,” whom he’s helping perpetrate the plot, says he’s a Muslim convert, he’s in fact, a Russian named Yuri, whose father’s name is Yevgeni and it isn’t so clear he’s actually really a Muslim. (Oh, and by the way, the writers of this ap-cray movie don’t know Arabic and screw that part up, too, as they name the guy “Abu Shabal,” and then have his friend tell him he’s the son of Yevgeni, not Shabal. Abu means “father of,” not “son of,” in Arabic.) In any event, the main bad guy is the Jewish millionaire who has his henchmen drill into the hands of a female CIA agent to get her to talk, after they’ve murdered her fellow agent. And the movie makes clear that real, actual Muslims from the Philippines, who’ve been recruited to wear suicide bomb vests and blow themselves up all over America, don’t really want to do it. After a scene showing them praying on the ground of a desert somewhere, they ultimately cry and look scared, as the Russian pseudo-Muslim friend of the Jew forces them into wearing the vests and pulling the cord.

Yeah, I know–it’s like another pointless, fraudulent season of the former FOX series, “24,” in which the Islamic terrorists always turn out to be working for some evil White man, not Muslims or jihad.

With the anti-Semitic plot point, the movie was ruined for me and I recommend that you skip it.

But it’s not just a movie. It’s a reminder that real-life Navy SEALs and top Pentagon and U.S. Navy brass have no problem with a plot portraying a Jew as the key terrorist in a jihadist plot, something that bears no resemblance to reality. If you wanna see a good movie about this outfit, rent “Navy SEALS.” No matter how un”winning” Charlie Sheen may be now, he at least had the guts to star in a movie in which the real terrorists (Islamic terrorists) are the terrorists–the way Hollywood used to show us back in the good old days of 1990 before we rewarded Muslims for 9/11.

To paraphrase the great Mark Twain, there are lies, damn lies, and “Act of Valor.” That’s the most damned lie of all.

Hey, who needs the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and blood libels, when you have Navy SEAL propaganda feature films?

There’s nothing valorous in Jew-baiting on the silver screen. Act of Valor isn’t an Act of Valor at all. Not even close.

Below is the e-mail I sent Amanda Greenberg, the Navy press person who is handling all inquiries regarding “Act of Valor.” And, yes, I see the irony in her apparently Jewish surname. But I’m sure you’ve heard the term, “kapo.” The e-mail went unanswered, after Navy personnel assured me she would respond. I encourage you to write her to complain about this vicious Jew-hatred.

Subject: Press Inquiry Re- “Act of Valor” Movie . . .

To: amanda.greenberg@navy.mil

Ms. Greenberg:

I’m a journalist (whose work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal

and New York Post and who has been quoted in almost every major media

outlet) and the movie critic for the SiriusXM Patriot Channel Morning

Show (“Mike Church Show”), and I have a few questions regarding “Act

of Valor.” I’m told by the Navy press office that you are handling

these inquiries. I’m on deadline and need this information by late

tonight, as I’m writing a review and will be discussing the film

tomorrow morning on SiriusXM, as well as another radio outlet.

Who at the Pentagon, US Navy or Navy SEALs was in charge of approving

“Act of Valor”?

Was the final product vetted?

Was the script vetted?

Was there no problem expressed or objections to the fact that the

script makes a Jewish billionaire the bad guy and the smuggler and

financier behind the major terrorism plot?

What is the position of whomever vetted and approved the final script, regarding anti-Semitism?

Can that person name a single major terrorist plot against America in

which Jews were involved?

I note your name is Greenberg. Does it not offend you that the major

players in the “jihadist” plot in this movie are not really Muslims,

but a Jew and a Russian who “converted”?

Are there any Jewish Navy SEALs?

How do you think it will affect Jewish Naval officers and enlisted

men, knowing that their branch of the U.S. Armed Forces believes that

Jews will be behind a major terrorist plot against America?

I look forward to your timely response. I can be reached at

[redacted], should you have any questions.

Thank you.

Debbie Schlussel

Again, Ms. Greenberg chose not to respond. Gee, I wonder why.

Don’t give money to blood libel movies like this that seek to turn America against the Jews using patriotism, the flag, and the Navy SEALs. This flick clearly earns its rating of . . .

More Persecution of Christians than Ever Before

An interesting article from www.ucg.org about the persecution of Christians. This follows this post about the dangers of drug use. For a free magazine subscription or to get this book for free click HERE! or call 1-888-886-8632.

More Persecution of Christians than Ever Before

A commentary by Don Hooser

Persecution of Christians is rife and horrific in many parts of the world, and it's coming to the place where you live.

Source: Photos.com"Persecution? Really? Since I never hear about it, I thought it stopped a long time ago."

People who are living comfortably in a Western country that has laws to protect freedom of religion are often blissfully unaware of mounting persecution in the rest of the world. Virtually every religion suffers some persecution, but Christians are suffering the most. A recent study reported that 75 out of every 100 people that are killed for religious hatred are Christian. In 2010, Open Doors, a mission supporting persecuted Christians in more than 45 countries, estimated that 100 million Christians were being persecuted.

We need to be informed about this tragedy for several reasons.

In numerous countries, like Iran, Saudi Arabia and North Korea, intolerance and oppression of Christians is state policy. Many other state governments mostly ignore religious discrimination and violence against minorities, offering virtually no protection.

Ironically, the fall of a corrupt secular dictator, like President Mubarak of Egypt, is often bad news for Christians. Where Islam predominates, the overthrow of a secular dictator often allows the government to become controlled by Muslim extremists who are determined to establish Sharia law as the law of the nation. And Sharia forbids everyone from practicing any religion other than Islam!

Radical Islam isn't the only culprit—many Christians in India are suffering persecution from Hindu groups as well. Indian Christians are in a particularly bad spot because they are at risk from both radical Hindus and Muslims.

Persecution began with the founder of Christianity!

We shouldn't be surprised by ongoing persecution of Christians. It began immediately—with relentless slander and threats against the Perfect Man, Jesus Christ. Then His enemies managed to torture and kill Him in the most horrible way, by crucifixion.

Jesus warned His followers: "If the world hates you, realize that it hated me before it hated you…If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you" (John 15:18If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

See All..., 20). He added, "Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service" (John 16:2They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

See All...).

In fact, there are many Bible prophecies of severe persecution of God's people in the end time .

Many forms of persecution

Persecution ranges from mild to severe. Keep in mind that when people can get away with minor forms of persecution, they often turn to more violent forms.

Even milder forms of persecution are obviously hurtful and scary: ridiculing, teasing, humiliating, ostracizing or speaking derogatorily or nastily of a Christian; schools not permitting students to write or speak about their Christian beliefs; employers discriminating against a Christian; and Christian political candidates putting up with scathing ridicule and slander.

These milder forms are increasingly prevalent in the United States, an indicator of much worse to come. We must make sure that each of us is prepared with strong faith and strong courage!

Should we be concerned for those who are suffering persecution in other nations?

It's easy to be apathetic about people in faraway places when we are extremely busy with our day-to-day activities. But there is no excuse for being selfish, self-centered and self-righteous. Jesus set the bar very high, commanding us to love everyone, even our enemies (Luke 6:27-38 [27] But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, [28] Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. [29] And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. [30] Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. [31] And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. [32] For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. [33] And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. [34] And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. [35] But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. [36] Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. [37] Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: [38] Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

See All...).

Many of these men and women are risking their lives to do what they consider to be God's work. Many end up being imprisoned, tortured and martyred for their beliefs. For all this, they deserve our deep respect.

We need to feel deep compassion and sympathy for these dedicated people—and pray for them.

Pastor Martin Neimoller, a survivor of Nazi concentration camps, said this: "First they came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up, because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up, because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me."

Let's be reminded of the Parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:29-37 [29] But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? [30] And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. [31] And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. [32] And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. [33] But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, [34] And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. [35] And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. [36] Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? [37] And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

See All.... The Samaritan, who had less scriptural knowledge, was the one who pleased God because he felt and showed compassion. Scriptural knowledge is wonderful, but if we want God to show us compassion when we are persecuted, we must feel and express compassion toward others who are being persecuted.

Let's remember these words of Jesus: "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy" (Matthew 5:7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

See All...).

Barack Obama & MI Taxpayers Bring You Anti-Christian “Harold & Kumar Christmas”

Here is an interesting article from http://www.debbieschlussel.com/  reviewing some of the movies that came out over the past weekend. This follows this post some of the movies from last week and  THIS POST about some movies that have been released over the past few years that you might have missed!  This all  follows this post about guidelines to chosing good movies to watch yourself!

Barack Obama & MI Taxpayers Bring You Anti-Christian “Harold & Kumar Christmas”

By Debbie Schlussel

The first thing you need note about this disgusting, unfunny, blatantly anti-Catholic and anti-Christian (and also mildly anti-Semitic) movie, “A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas,” is that its star is pan-Muslim Kal Penn, who was Special Assistant to the President in the Barack Obama White House. This was his first major project after leaving the Obama White House. The second thing you should remember is that Michigan taxpayers financed 42% of this absolute abomination of a movie through the Michigan Film Tax Credit (the movie was shot in Michigan). (And don’t forget they also financed a movie promoting Islam.)

Topless lesbian nun shower scenes, Catholic priests chasing after young boys, and Jesus in a bar hanging out with topless women in lingerie–that’s some of the stuff in this movie that you’ll never see with Islamic clerics, imams. Hollywood won’t touch them. No topless lesbian scenes with Muslim women or Islamic clerics chasing after imams. Think they’d ever show you Mohammed with naked topless chicks? Dream on.

Oh, and the movie also has a scene in with two Jewish friends, one in a yarmulke and the other in Christmas gear, as he’s converted to Christianity. The convert demands 87 cents he’s owed on the bill, and the other Jew says, see, you’re still a Jew, despite the conversion. Get it? Jews are cheap. Yeah, that’s funny . . . if your name is Adolf or Ahmed.

Chock full of sex, pot, penis, fecal material, and urine “jokes,” I laughed once. It’s simply disgusting and filthy with no humor. And you know what that means: it’ll be a huge hit. A scene in which we’re shown a guy’s penis frozen to a pole on the big screen–this is supposed to be funny? Get it? They’re mocking the kid’s tongue stuck to the pole in “A Christmas Story.” Haha. Sooo funny . . . if you have the brain and intellect of a mosquito.

The “plot”: Harold and Kumar are no longer friends. Harold is now a rich, successful guy working on Wall Street. Kumar is the same old pothead, but he’s lost his medical license after failing drug tests. Harold’s new father-in-law, who hates him, brings a fancy Christmas tree to Harold’s house, and Harold promises to decorate it. But Kumar comes to his house and the tree catches on fire. They must get a new tree and end up in a number of stupid hijinks, including a party at a mobster’s apartment, thrown by his virgin daughter, and their participation in a Christmas show with Neil Patrick Harris.

If you go to this movie–if you tolerate what is in it–you are part of the problem and the very reason why our country is going down the tubes.

Again, don’t forget that Obama hired the star of this absolute crap to be in his White House for over a year. Ask yourself why Obama didn’t just tolerate–but brought into the White House–someone who appears in anti-Christian, anti-Semitic crap. We know the answer. He has no problems with these beliefs that he apparently shares.

You need not be a prude to hate this garbage, just a basic human who knows the most common level of decency. This outrage of a movie is a simple IQ test. If you go to see it, you failed.

Anti-Semitism in Dubai Tennis Match: The Wall Street Journal pulls sponsorship!!!!

A big hat tip to www.redstate.com and the Wall Street Journal.

Wall Street Journal Gives Action to Principles
Posted by Warner Todd Huston (Profile)
Friday, February 20th

Kudos must go to the Wall Street Journal for standing by its principles. Haaretz reports that the WSJ pulled its sponsorship this week for a tennis tournament in Dubai after that Islamic state ignorantly denied a visa for an Israeli player scheduled to play there.
Dubai refused the visa for Israeli player Shahar Peer because of the supposed anger of Muslim tennis fans over the recent Israeli offensive in Gaza. United Arab Emirates officials claimed they feared riots if they allowed Peer to attend.
Once the decision was made known, however, the WSJ reacted well in a statement released on Wednesday.
“The Wall Street Journal’s editorial philosophy is free markets and free people, and this action runs counter to the Journal’s editorial direction.”
One can only admire a member of the Old Media that stands by a policy of free markets, democracy, fairness and general civility like that.

Be sure and subscribe to the Wall Street Journal. A publication of such principles should be supported.

More Tennis World Apartheid: Israeli Gets Visa to Dubai Islamic Minstrel Show; Israel to Play Empty Arena Davis Cup

By Debbie Schlussel

While the women's portion of Dubai Tennis Championships continues to go on minus those undesirable Jewesses, there's more similar behavior afoot in the pro tennis world.
Israeli Andy Ram has gotten news that he will, indeed, get a visa to play doubles in Dubai in next week's mens portion of the same tournament. But, as I've noted before, even if he gets a visa to play, so what? That doesn't change the fact that no other Jewish Israelis can enter the country and that Dubai continues to boycott Israel, along with dozens of other Muslim states. This is an Islamic minstrel show. See. Look at the Jew. We let him play. (I can imagine this being said in the voice of "Family Guy"'s Stewie Griffin.)
Ram also played at the Qatar Open, where Jewish Israelis were never allowed before and haven't been since. But he was showcased along with Shahar Pe'er by the Al-Jazeera owner Qataris because they want to host a Summer Olympics. And we know why Dubai will give Ram the visa. They don't like the bad publicity they've gotten this week, publicity that will all die down by next week, after which their "No Jewish Israelis Allowed" policy will remain in place and unquestioned.
Israeli Doubles Player Andy Ram
Then, there's the Davis Cup, next month. Organizers say that Sweden and Israel will play each other in their first-round Davis Cup matches to an empty arena, March 6-8, because of security concerns. The matches take place in Malmo, Sweden, which has already been the site of anti-Semitic violence on a Jewish synagogue--it was firebombed!--and where anti-Semitic, anti-Israel demonstrations are planned during the matches.
The Swedes said they couldn't provide adequate security at the event. And I'm betting they got word or suspect that one of their many "moderate Muslim" residents was going to execute a terrorist attack. They don't cancel these things or exclude audiences over nothing. Europe is now at the whim at will of the wildings of Islam. Not a clash of civilizations. A loss of civilization. Because Sweden and these other countries let these savages invade their countries. Now, they are reaping the rewards.
Davis Cup
Yup, the Nazis of Europe have been reborn from their sleep. And they are called . . . Muslims. Religion of Peace, baby!
