Ignore the Amnesty Decoy, real fight is in the states

A very interesting post from www.Alipac.US about the amnesty decoy by Sentors Hutchinson and Kyl. This follows this post about pro-amnesty actions in 3 States! .  This follows this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! For more about what is happening in the nation now click here and you can read a very interesting book HERE.

Ignore the Amnesty Decoy, real fight is in the states

by

ALIPAC

 Friends of ALIPAC,

After intensive review, many of us believe that the current amnesty bill that has been filed by retiring sellout senators Hutchinson and Kyle is a decoy designed to test our responses.

The amnesty supporters have an orchestrated plan in place. They are not likely to try to pass the amnesty bill in the lame duck session and risk a loss to our side.

The current amnesty bill filed is likely designed to A. pull our attention away from the states where they are rushing to implement licenses and in-state tuition for illegal aliens and B. to analyze our strategic responses and communications abilities so they can fine tune their major amnesty push coming early in 2013!

Thus, we are advising our core activists and allied organizations not engage in full deployment against the current amnesty bill. We feel the current amnesty bill is a feigned left jab and we do not want our movement to step into the enemy's right hook!

Instead, please focus all of your calls and energies on these important state battles found at this link. This week IL will consider a bill to give licenses to illegals, if they get it they will use that win to establish momentum in other states.

While our team may even have a chance to turn back in-state tuition for illegal aliens in Texas where so many ALIPACers live!

We need your calls and emails in large volumes this week in these states to stall the illegal alien advance.

List of state campaigns at this link...

http://www.alipac.us/f8/amnesty-red-...states-267877/

We made some great ground fighting tyrant Harry Reid's plans to take more power for himself in the US Senate last week. If you have not responded to this important call, please get on the horns to the US Senate to fight the rule change that could pass many Republic destroying provisions....

ALIPAC has proven adept at providing our supporters, the media, and allied organizations with solid strategies and analysis of the national battle against the elites facilitating the illegal alien invasion of our American homeland.

This week we advise you all to ignore the Senate decoy bill and focus all resources on the important state battles!

AMNESTY RED ALERT: Bill Filed and Illegals Move for Licenses and tuition in 3 states!

A very interesting post from www.Alipac.US about pro-amnesty actions in 3 States! Amnesty Red Alert: Bill Filed and Illegals Move for Licenses and tuition in 3 states!

by

ALIPAC

The invasion supporters are trying to bum rush us and use the election results to gain more power over Americans. It is clear that their plans were made with elite support long before the votes were counted.

If you have not made your important calls (click here) to stop Harry Reid's power grab please do these quickly. Those of you who did call on Monday are having an impact as you can see in this article here where Mitch McConnell is fighting back with your encouragement.

Two traitors in the US Senate that are retiring, Republicans Jon Kyl and Kay Bailey Hutchison, have just filed an Amnesty bill for illegal aliens. We will move on this next Monday.

For today and the remainder of this week we need a full and rapid deployment to attempt to stop the illegal alien advance in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Illinois! WE NEED ALL ALIPAC ACTIVISTS FROM ALL STATES TO CONVERGE ON THESE THREE STATE EFFORTS!

Step 1: Dictatorship in Massachusetts establishes in-state tuition for illegals.

That's right folks, the Governor of Massachusetts is imitating dictator Obama and is exceeding his constitutional authority to give illegal aliens your child's seat in college while making you pay for it despite the fact that ALIPAC activists helped defeat that bill twice in his state already! He has done so by decree without legislation having passed. The citizens of Massachusetts are currently the first citizens to endure in-state tuition for illegal aliens by royal order.

Swing in to action.

"I'm calling/writing to demand that the Massachusetts legislature take immediate action to stop and reprimand Governor Patrick Duval who seems to think he is some kind of dictator who can give our tax money to illegal aliens to put them through college without authorization by our elected officials in the legislature. I want lawmakers to act now to stop Deval's in-state tuition for illegal aliens and his abuse of power immediately!"

Remember to call in with your distinct and personalized message to as many of these targets as possible.

Step 3: Illegals push for licenses in their Illinois stronghold.

From their power base in corrupt Chicago, illegals are pushing for licenses in Illinois hoping to gain traction. You can block their aggression with a large wave of calls and emails to the Illinois legislature.

It gets harder for us to make the impact we need when we are forced to address multiple targets with limited time and resources.

But we are playing deep defense right now and we do not always get to pick the timing or scale of our battles.

We can push back the illegal alien advance in each of these states if enough of you care enough to put in a few hours of volunteer work to stop them as we have before. If not enough of you respond to this email, the illegals may prevail and score another win giving them momentum for what they want next!

Mass. House Overrides Governor's Rejection of Illegal Alien Vehicle Registration Ban

A very interesting post from http://www.numbersusa.com/ about a state illegal alien registration ban. This follows this post about Barack Obama's polling numbers after his amnesty edict.  This follows this post about the Black Caucus hurting Black Americans with their immigration stand. This follows this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! For more that you can do to get involved click HERE and you can read this very interesting book HERE!

Mass. House Overrides Governor's Rejection of Illegal Alien Vehicle Registration Ban

 - posted on NumbersUSA

Massachusetts representatives rejected Gov. Deval Patrick's attempt to neuter legislation designed to ban illegal aliens from registering vehicles in the Commonwealth. The measure -- a part of the state budget bill -- now goes to the Senate for consideration.

As passed by the legislature, the legislation required vehicle registration applicants to prove legal residence with a Social Security Number. In a veto message, Patrick amended and sent back to the legislature language that simply required vehicle owners to prove state residency.

The measure was one of several provisions intended to prevent illegal aliens from driving in the wake of traffic deaths caused by illegal aliens. The governor’s amendatory veto upset the victims’ families. “I’m angry and I’m bitter. We lost a family member,” said Maureen Grossi Laquerre, whose brother was killed by an illegal alien from Portugal who ran a stop sign and blinking red light. “People need to stop taking us lightly.”

Pro-illegal alien groups, which supported the governor’s amendatory veto, decried the House’s action. Frank Soults from the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition said that he believed lawmakers "reacted harshly," and that the Legislature's proposal is a "bad first step in the direction of the Arizona anti-immigration law.”

Other provisions that survived the governor’s veto pen included measures to increase penalties for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle; knowingly permitting an unlicensed individual to operate one’s vehicle; and knowingly employing for hire as a motor vehicle operator any unlicensed individual.

GOP’s Scott Brown Could Win Teddy Kennedy’s Senate Seat—If He Plays Immigration Card *BUMPED*

A very timely post from http://www.vdare.com/ on the special election to replace Ted Kennedy's Senate seat. For more interesting articles like this click here.

GOP’s Scott Brown Could Win Teddy Kennedy’s Senate Seat—If He Plays Immigration Card
[See also: The Coming Defeat Of Deval Patrick And The End Of Massachusetts’ Minority Rule Experiment, by Matthew Richer]
By Joe GuzzardiOn January 19th, Massachusetts will elect a new U.S. senator to fill the seat held for nearly half a century by patriotic immigration reform’s long time, recently deceased adversary, Teddy Kennedy. [Dodd and Dorgan Aside, Senate Election Focus Should Be on Massachusetts, by Chuck Raasch, USA Today, January 6, 2010]After Kennedy’s death, Governor Deval Patrick appointed Paul. G. Kirk, Jr. as an interim so the Democrats could cast a "yea" vote for the Senate health care bill.Regarding Kennedy’s remarkably long term of service, I can only say that time doesn’t fly when you’re not having fun. Patriotic immigration reformers were most definitely not having fun during his ceaseless subversion of America. The Senate contest that will pit Republican State Senator Scott Brown versus Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley kicks off with an interesting coincidence: In 1962, Kennedy also was elected via a special election after his brother John vacated the seat on being elected president. Before analyzing Brown’s chances, remember that he’s a Republican running in Massachusetts, where his party’s registration is a microscopic 11 percent. But, despite obviously long odds against him becoming the first Republican Massachusetts senator since Edward W. Brooke 32 years ago, Brown has a chance—if he plays it right.Brown’s task is to appeal to the anti-Establishment mood that helped Republicans defeat Democrats in the November gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia.Brown, according to Philip W. Johnson, a former Massachusetts Democratic Party Chairman, is"...an attractive, articulate, moderate Republican who could tap into some of the unrest among voters. It would be a terrible mistake for Democrats to assume that this election is in the bag on January 19. These are not normal times. There are treacherous winds blowing and Democratic candidates have to be aware of that." [Scott Brown Wins GOP Primary, Readies for Race vs. Coakley, Michael Levenson, Boston Globe, December 8, 2009]Translations:"Attractive" means Brown is a fit triathlete so confident in his appearance that he once posed nude (with his limbs strategically placed) for Cosmopolitan Magazine."Articulate" is a nod to Brown’s career as a military lawyer in the Massachusetts Army National Guard where he has served for nearly three decades and holds the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps."Moderate Republican" refers to Brown’s position as an anti-big government, anti-federal stimulus and health care legislation, fiscal conservative who during his three terms as a state representative never voted for tax increases."Not normal times" is a thinly disguised reference to Coakley’s standing as an unpopular staff member on the exceedingly disliked Deval Patrick’s gubernatorial team.Of most importance to VDARE.COM is how the two candidates stack up on immigration. While Massachusetts isn’t a border state, its foreign-born population is more than 14 percent. That total brings with it enough immigration-related problems like crime to make it an issue in Brown’s campaign.MS-13, also known Mara Salvatrucha, has a well established presence in East Boston and has been linked to al-Qaeda terrorist networks. [Off-Duty Boston Firefighter Stabbed Outside Station, by Laurel J. Sweet, Boston Herald, December 3, 2007]Education has been adversely effected by excessive immigration. According to a Federation for American Immigration Reform report, in 2004 Massachusetts ranked twelfth in the U.S. for numbers of illegal alien students and U.S.-born children of illegal aliens enrolled in K-12 schools. That cost Massachusetts taxpayers $494.5 million—back in 2004, remember. The same FAIR report referenced above confirmed that Brown’s stance to keep illegal aliens from discounted college tuition would save Massachusetts between $7.7 and $10 million. With Massachusetts facing a $1 billion budget deficit, any fiscal conservative worth his salt would draw the cost correlation between educating illegal aliens and the revenue shortfall. [State Deficit May Hit $1 Billion Again, by Frank Phillips, Boston Globe, March 12, 2009]As pointed out by our Matthew Richer, Brown (unlike Coakley) has posted his immigration positions on his website. Included are his opposition to amnesty, driver’s licenses and instate tuition for aliens and their children.Brown’s stances on driver’s licenses and tuition have special significance because Patrick has wavered on both.Publicly, the governor has indicated support for the "New Americans Agenda," Massachusetts’ so called "comprehensive blueprint for integrating immigrants," but also stalled it fearing voter retribution by referring it to his Cabinet for an "action plan" [Tuition, Driver’s Licenses Urged for Illegal Aliens, by Maria Sacchetti, Boston Globe, November 17, 2009]Democrat Senate hopeful Coakley, in contrast to Brown, supports a "path to citizenship" via "comprehensive immigration reform" a.k.a. amnesty.Said Coakley, sounding frighteningly like Teddy:"We need a policy that makes sense for 12 million people who are stuck in a purgatorial status quo. It doesn't do us any good to do nothing." [Coakley Says She Would Support Immigration Reform, by Julia Spitz, MetroWest Daily News, November 25, 2009]Brown has linked himself with President John F. Kennedy by calling for tax cuts to stimulate the economy. A more important Kennedy comparison for Brown: that he is not and never will be the Senator that he’s seeking to replace—the legislator whose votes increased levels of legal and illegal immigration while destroying the America that we all grew up in and love. With Massachusetts unemployment at nearly 9 percent, Brown has nothing to lose by pointing out that Kennedy’s pro-immigration votes put hundreds of thousands of Americans out of their middle class jobs as their occupations vanished either because of illegal alien labor, foreign workers flooding American markets or job outsourcing.Kennedy voted for increases in every Congressional bill that would create or increase more non-immigrant H-1B visas. In addition to immigration, Brown’s biggest selling point, even in predominantly Democratic Massachusetts, is the Senate math: 58 Democrats, 40 Republicans and two Independents. Since the Independents, Bernie Saunders and Joe Lieberman, caucus with the Democrats, the tally is effectively 60-40.Brown’s election would make it 57-41-2 or adjusting for the Independents, 59-41A Rasmussen poll conducted last week firm placed Coakley ahead of Brown by 50 percent to 41 percent—not bad for Brown in the state Obama carried by 26 points.More interesting is that 21 percent of those likely to vote in the special election have a very favorable opinion of Coakley while 22 percent have a very unfavorable view.Brown’s numbers are strikingly better: 25 percent very favorable and 5 percent very unfavorable.A certain momentum is building in Brown’s favor. Curt Schilling, Boston Red Sox pitching hero, recently endorsed him as did former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and John McCain. [Curt Schilling Endorses Brown in Mass. Senate Race, by Andy Barr, Politico.com, January 4, 2010]This has drawn predictable scorn from the Coakley camp, who dismiss Schilling as a superficial jock and Romney and McCain has political hacks. But as far as athletes and politics go, it’s worth noting that Kentucky U.S. Senator Jim Bunning (Immigration Grade A-) didn’t suffer from his Hall of Fame career. And former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley almost rode his basketball prowess to the White House.Bay State residents do love their Red Sox, so Coakley should be concerned about Brown’s publicity—and even more worried about Barack Obama’s conspicuous absence from her campaign.Although Massachusetts has elected wild-eyed liberals like Kennedy (Teddy and Patrick), John Kerry, Barney Frank, to Congress, since 1990 it has also elected Republican Governors William Weld and Paul Cellucci as well as Mitt Romney.Brown’s gender may work in favor of Brown, too. Only four women have held statewide offices in Massachusetts, none of them governor or senator.A cold post-New Jersey and Virginia wind continues to blow over the Democrats. This week, Connecticut and North Dakota Senators Christopher Dodd, Byron Dorgan and Colorado Governor Bill Ritter announced their retirements.Actually, that’s not quite right: they’re leaving voluntarily before being voted out, possibly in primary challenges. [Abrupt Democratic Retirements Show Tough Landscape, by Liz Sidoti, Associated Press, January 6, 2009]The Senate doesn’t reconvene until January 19th, the day of the special election. And then its only official business will be a pro forma session. If Brown can pull off a long shot win, he’ll give Republicans the one crucial vote they need to kill the Democrats’ agenda that includes Obamacare—and possibly despite the mid-year election threats it poses, “comprehensive immigration reform”.

IS THIS FAIR? Massachusetts House OKs Senate Succession Change

As the article below shows, Massachusettes may allow the current governor to give a replacement to Ted Kennedy in the Senate. Is this fair that they wouldn't let a Republican governor do the same?
For more about Ted Kennedy's Senate stint, click here and here . (h/t www.TexasInsider.org/ CQ Staff)

Massachusetts House OKs Senate Succession Change
By Emily Cadei, CQ Staff

Massachusetts is well on its way to having a second senator.
After a long day of often spirited debate, the state House on Thursday voted 95-58 to pass legislation that would give Gov. Deval Patrick the power to appoint an interim senator to fill the seat of the late Edward M. Kennedy .
As it stands now, the seat would remain vacant until the Jan. 19 special election.
“This bill will give us full representation today and the people of Massachusetts will have their second voice in the U.S. Senate,” Democratic state Rep. Michael Moran, co-chairman of the Joint Committee on Election Laws, told the Boston Globe. “My overriding concern is making sure the people of Massachusetts are fully represented in the U.S. Congress.”
The state Senate is expected to pass the bill as well, but Republican stalling tactics could delay that until the middle of next week.
State Sen. Stephen J. Buoniconti predicted to CQ Politics this week that “it will take several sessions to pass the bill.”
“The hopeful time frame” for passage “is Thursday next week,” said Buoniconti, who sits on the joint Election Laws Committee.
Patrick has indicated he would move immediately to name an interim appointment once the law is changed.
Among the names being floated as possible appointees are Michael Dukakis, the former Democratic governor and the party’s 1988 presidential nominee; former state Attorney General Scott Harshbarger, who lost a race for governor in 1998; Peter Meade, the new president of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate at the University of Massachusetts in Boston; and Robert Reich, former U.S. secretary of labor and a professor at University of California, Berkeley.
The statutory change was requested by Kennedy, himself, days before he died of brain cancer.
The small Republican minority in the legislature has balked however, calling the move a partisan ploy. They have pointed to the fact that Democrats changed the law governing Senate succession just five years ago, in what was interpreted as a move to prevent Republican Gov. Mitt Romney tapping a replacement for Sen. John F. Kerry if Kerry had won the presidential election.
And they say the Democratic push to change the law smacks of hypocrisy and is nothing more than an attempt to ensure a 60th Democratic vote for the health care overhaul bill currently pending in the Senate.
“I hope that works out,” U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said earlier in the day. “It would be nice to have 60, of course.”
That’s not the uniform opinion in the majority party on Capitol Hill.

“I don’t agree with them changing the law,” said Sen. Russ Feingold , D-Wis. “I think they did it right when they gave it to the people of Massachusetts.”

In the Massachusetts Senate, members have the ability to stand up and object during the first, second and third readings of the bill, which delays the debate, he said.
