Urge your State Reps to Pass E-Verify Laws (or improve existing laws)

An urgent post from http://www.numbersusa.com/ about immigration enforcement at a local level. This follows this post analyzing coverage of the GOP candidates by the Mainstream Media. This follows this post about the Presidential Candidate strongest on immigration.  This follows this post  about Louisiana suing about the appropriations of House Seats and the Electoral College(think about redistricting in your state)!   This follows this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants such as the 30,000 openly illegal immigrants in the border town of El Paso, where President Barack Obama recently bashed immigration enforcement! For more that you can do to get involved click HERE and you can read a very interesting book HERE!

And Remember when contacting public officials to please be firm but respectful. Any over the top messages could result in law enforcement action against you. Just let these politicians know that you are aware of what they have done and that you intend to remove them from office in the 2012 elections.

Urge your State Reps to Pass E-Verify Laws (or improve existing laws)

Yesterday, we had another webcast to kick off our 2012 State Enforcement Campaign. In just six weeks, state legislatures across the country will begin to convene, and there are a number of ways federal immigration laws can be enforced at the local level.

Check your Action Board for new faxes urging your state legislatures to take action when they get back to work after the first of the year. If you live in a state that has already passed a strong E-Verify law (Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, and South Carolina), the faxes urge your legislatures to ensure employers are actually using the system. For states that have weaker E-Verify laws or no law at all, the faxes urge your legislators to pass a law.

Since starting this campaign on Tuesday, you've already sent 43,820 faxes!

If you missed our webcast, you can rewatch it by clicking on the image below:

E-VERIFY UPDATE: We've had a great week adding new cosponsors to Chairman Smith's Legal Workforce Act. If you check out our tracker at the top of this newsletter and on our homepage, you'll see that 9 more Congressmen have signed on to the bill.

These latest additions of official support for H.R. 2885 are: Reps. John Fleming (R-La.), Roscoe Bartlett (R-Md.), John Mica (R-Fla.), Pete Olson (R-Texas), Jo Bonner (R-Ala.), Alan Nunnelee (R-Miss.), Joe Heck (R-Nev.), Mike Coffman (R-Colo.) and Ander Crenshaw (R-Fla.). You can read about the most recent signers in the "Other News" section in the right column.
