A very interesting post from www.debbieschlussel.com about Iraqi Muslim terrorists that were let into America as refugees. This follows this post about the Hamas flightilla that tried to invade Israel. This follows this post about Miss USA 2010 and this article about the recent news about the former ban on offshore drilling which would encourage American energy independence and prevent money from going to hostile countries such as Iran and Venezuela. US Govt: Hey, We Didn’t Screen 58,000 Iraqi Refugees We Let In, Might Be Terrorists
By Debbie Schlussel
This is another one of those “Told Ya Sos.” Over the years, I’ve warned over and over on this site that the federal government did not screen any of the tens of thousands of Iraqi “refugees” we let into this country as a result of President Bush’s war on Iraq. As I’ve repeatedly noted, we don’t know who any of these people are, we have no way of checking if the names they give are real, and we have no way of knowing if they are Islamic terrorists. As I’ve also noted, several of these Iraqi immigrants have, indeed, turned out to be terrorists, including Mr. X a/k/a Noureddine Malki a/k/a Almaliki Nour a/k/a Abu Hakim a/k/a Abdulhakeem Nour, a man who became a U.S. Army translator and notified Al-Qaeda of our troop movements in Iraq so they could be blown up. And there was that Kentucky Iraqi, Waad Ramadan Alwan, who had participated in producing IEDs and blowing up U.S. soldiers for Al-Qaeda. And, finally, I’ve noted that Citizenship and Immigration Services adjudicators spend less than six minutes per potential Iraqi citizen before largely rubber stamping them into permanent legal status here in the U.S.
Shukran [Thanks], America, For Not Screening Me For Terrorism Before You Let Me In; Now Try and Find Me
Now, the feds are finally admitting that I was right and are trying to find over 58,000 Iraqis we let into this country legally, in order to determine if they are terrorists. Good luck with that. Good luck finding all of them in the great American abyss. And good luck determining if they are Islamic terrorists. There’s simply no way to be certain they are not. If someone tells you his name is Milad Arabo (a Christian name), there is simply no way to go to Iraq and find out if his name isn’t really Mohammed Al-Tikriti (a Muslim from Saddam Hussein’s hometown of Tikrit) or Ali Hassan (usually a Shi’ite Muslim name).
Authorities are rescreening more than 58,000 Iraqi refugees living in the United States to determine whether lapses in immigration security allowed former insurgents and potential terrorists to enter the country, U.S. officials said.
The investigation was given added urgency after U.S. intelligence agencies warned that al-Qaida leaders in Iraq and Yemen had tried to exploit immigration loopholes in an attempt to infiltrate the country with their operatives.
The rescreening began late last year after the FBI learned that an Iraqi man in Kentucky had participated in roadside bomb attacks in Iraq before he was granted U.S. political asylum in 2009. He and another Iraqi refugee were arrested in an FBI sting in May on charges of trying to send explosives and missiles to Iraq for use against Americans.
So far, immigration authorities have given the FBI the names of about 300 Iraqi refugees for further investigation. The FBI won’t say whether any have been arrested or pose a potential threat. . . .
They checked the data against military, law enforcement and intelligence databases that were not available or were not used during the initial screening process or which were not searched using sufficient Arabic spelling and name variations.
It addition to the Iraqis, authorities have rescreened a smaller number of refugees from Yemen, Somalia and other countries where terrorist groups are active. About 18,000 Iraqi refugees were admitted last year, but the number has fallen sharply since new screening procedures were imposed.
About 30,000 Iraqis have applied for asylum
Oh, and just so you know, US Citizenship and Immigration Services says it is only re-screening those Iraqis admitted to the U.S. from fiscal years 2007 and on. Those Iraqis who came here before are free to commit their terrorism unchecked.
Also, as I’ve noted with so many examples on this site over the years, many of those who aren’t or weren’t terrorists are still a tremendous problem for America, as a good deal of them are Muslims who impose their extremist views on America. Some have perpetrated honor killings against their daughters. Several have been caught molesting children. Etc., etc., etc., ad absurdum.
Both Presidents Bush and Obama bear responsibility for this disaster. Both brought in tens of thousands of Iraqis onto U.S. soil on their watch. But, frankly, Bush bears more blame because it was his war, in which he spent thousands of U.S. lives and gazillions of U.S. funds to take Iraq away from brutal America-hating Sunni Muslim hands and give it to brutal Iran-backed America-hating Shi’ite Muslims. And while he kept telling us that things are now better there, he kept bringing more and more of them over here. And they are still coming, none of them properly screened.
