Clinton/Obama Attack Arab Non-Reform, Say They Can’t Solve All Disputes w/ Israel

In a marked 180 from the standard Obama Islamo-pandering world view–and the Hillary Clinton parroting of it–and a marked 180 from the standard Bush/Condi Clueless Islamo-pandering view before that, Secretary of State Clinton told the Arab world, yesterday, that the U.S. is disturbed by the lack of reform in the Arab world (translation: MUSLIM world), and that the U.S. cannot get involved in and resolve every single whine the Arab (read: MUSLIM) world has with Israel.


I wish I could say this is “refreshing,” but it’s a tiny baby step for PR purposes, and we all know it’s not a sincere expression of Hillary’s/Obama’s true world view. Instead, it’s a stark, if diplomatic and politically correct, way of expressing that the U.S. has given up, somewhat on constantly pressuring Israel because there’s rarely fruit in it, and that now the pressure is finally on the deserved party: the hypocritical, extremist, repressive Muslim world. And it’s kind of delicious that she said this stuff in both a speech to the Emirs and in an interview with Al-Jazeera, the Terrorists News Network, itself. That must’ve stung the Muslims. Criticized on their own soil.



(Unfortunately, she also mentioned the Palestinian State BS again. Someday, maybe Western leaders will realize that the Muslim world is not Pavlov’s dog. They are animals, yes, but a lower form than the dog, as they won’t learn to change their behavior for a carrot or reward. They’ll just take the reward and keep doing the same thing.)



DOHA, Qatar — Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Thursday that the Arab world needs to change its political systems and not expect the United States to solve all of its issues with Israel.





“We can’t stop a lot of countries from doing things that we disagree with and we speak out against,” Clinton said in an exchange with a reporter for Al-Jazeera, an Arab news agency.



Clinton was asked why Arab countries should listen to her criticism of their lack of political freedoms when the United States can’t get its ally Israel to make peace with the Palestinians. “Israel is a sovereign country, and it makes its own decisions,” Clinton responded. . . .



Clinton said Israel has reasons to be cautious.



“You often make decisions based on your own experience and history,” she said. “And when the Israelis pulled out of Lebanon, they got Hezbollah and 40,000 rockets, and when they pulled out of Gaza, they got Hamas and 20,000 rockets.”



Still, she said, the United States will continue to work toward achieving a separate state for the Palestinians. . . .



Clinton was in the Qatari capital, Doha, for a regional development conference. She called on Arab leaders to enact economic and political changes and to join the United States in asking “what more can we do to help the Palestinian people continue their state-building efforts, which is a very positive development of the last several years.”



Clinton complained of repression and a lack of rights for women and religious minorities in the Arab world and warned that such problems would hold back the Middle East.



I know you’re not celebrating or anything, nor am I. We know that every administration–whether it’s Barack Obama or George W. Bush or whoever is Prez next–will continue to pressure Israel and really do nothing to see that the Muslim world actually reforms itself. We know that ain’t gonna happen. Ever. And, frankly, if it does, it’s a disaster for us, too, as it means places like Saudi Arabia would have free elections, where Bin Laden and his band of savage tribes would be elected to replace the monarchical House of Saud and similar developments would happen throughout the Arab Street.



Still, that Hillary even had the nerve–and the go-ahead from Obama–to say these things is fun for me to watch . . . especially when we watch the resentment on the faces of the Muslim totalitarians who run those countries. And, like I said, it’s something we never heard–and NEVER WOULD hear–from the likes of Condi or Bush. We never did in the whole eight years.



And, as I also noted, these statements are very short lived. Soon, they’ll start on Israel again and return to kissing keffiyeh-encrusted ass.



But it’s nice to finally hear a tiny, faint bit of Mid-East truth from those who never express it . . . even if it’s ephemeral at best. Would have loved to have been a fly on that wall.
