Who is Really Dividing Society?

The Left champions its version of "diversity" which is defined solely by racial categories. The Left assumes that one's race determines one's worldview and life experiences. Additionally, the Left is not interested in a diversity of ideas; it simply embraces and works to advance a liberal agenda.
Leftist students, professors, and administrators are often the first to intimidate, attack, and silence conservatives when they speak out. What is diverse about a campus where people of different races or cultures all share the same point-of-view? A university monopolized by Leftist ideas is the antithesis of diversity.

Sen. Graham's favorability plummets after year-long push for amnesty

Comprehensive Amnesty Threat

Sen. Graham's favorability plummets after year-long push for amnesty

A new poll from Winthrop University finds that Sen. Lindsey Graham's (R-S.C.) favorability in his home state has plummeted after co-authoring legislation that would grant amnesty to 11 million illegal aliens and double annual legal immigration flows. According to the poll, only 45% of GOP voters (including leaners) support the job that Sen. Graham is doing.



In February, after the Gang of Eight had announced their principles for immigration reform, but before the bill was drafted, Graham's approval rating among GOP voters was 72%. His approval rating was 57.5% in April just before the Senate began debate on Graham's amnesty bill, S.744.

HANG ONE, TO ENCOURAGE THE OTHERS

One of the most effective ways of discouraging people is to make them think there's absolutely nothing they can do about something, anyway. Thus, liberals have tried to insinuate that Obamacare is impossible to remove, hoping conservatives will despair.



But with only one-half of one branch of government, Sens. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee and the House Republicans have made it absolutely clear that Republicans are not giving up on repealing Obamacare. Inasmuch as "bubonic plague" is polling higher than "Obamacare," I'd say this is a brilliant marketing strategy for the GOP.



Unlike every other idiotic government program ever foisted on us by the Democrats, this time Republicans are not rolling over on this illegitimately passed, disastrous legislation. Give Republicans a veto-proof majority in the Senate, America, and they will rid us of this plague. (Without even charging a co-pay!)



Not only that, but Republicans have exposed Democrats as hypocrites who are forcing the rest of the country to live under Obamacare, while shutting down the government rather than live under it themselves.



With any luck, the Obama-Reid government shutdown -- as Sean Hannity calls it -- has also impressed upon Republicans the importance of winning elections.



Whatever cavils and objections liberals have to the Republicans' majority in the House, the Democrats' Senate majority certainly does not reflect the popular will. At least nine sitting Democratic senators have asterisks by their names, indicating seats given away by Republicans through unforced errors.



The only thing the Democrats' majority demonstrates is the stunning incompetence, stupidity and malfeasance of the Republican Party.



Here are a few Senate seats recently sacrificed by Republicans.



In 2008, career prosecutors in George W. Bush's Department of Justice convicted Republican senator Ted Stevens of Alaska for various corruption offenses just weeks before the election. The prosecution was so sleazy that not only was the conviction thrown out, but the indictment was tossed -- by Obama's Justice Department, no less.





Too late! Stevens had already lost his re-election. The winning Democrat will now hold that seat in perpetuity.



If that were ever done to a Democrat, the prosecutors' names would be known by every American, objects of obloquy worse than "Halliburton." But there's no cost to throwing a Republican senator's election.



That's one Senate seat.



Also in 2008, Democrats openly stole a Senate election for Al Franken in Minnesota right under the nose of Republican governor Tim "Blood and Guts" Pawlenty. You don't have to be like the Democrats and steal elections, Republicans, but can you at least stop letting them be stolen?



That's two Senate seats.


Then there are the races where Republicans were screwed by campaign consultants more interested in being able to buy another vacation home than winning elections -- as described in my new book, Never Trust a Liberal Over Three-Especially a Republican.
Republican campaign consultants ran Linda McMahon for the Senate from Connecticut in 2010, and then -- to pay off the mortgage -- again in 2012.




McMahon is an American patriot who spent a lot of her own money to beat a Democrat. Unfortunately, she never had a chance to win a statewide election in Connecticut, as anyone with half a brain knew. (See my multiple columns screaming this fact from the rooftops before she won the nominations with the help of her high-priced consultants.)



Former congressman Rob Simmons could have won either of those Senate races in Connecticut. He had been elected to the House from a swing district in 2000, beating an incumbent Democrat, then held his seat for six years, losing in 2006 by about three votes. He's a Haverford College graduate, was an Army colonel who served in Vietnam, worked at the CIA and taught at Yale. That's a candidate Connecticut soccer moms would love.



But if Simmons had won the nomination, how would Republican campaign consultants be able to retire early? They wanted a money-bags candidate, not a winner.



Running McMahon in Connecticut was not a mistake -- it was a betrayal of the Republican Party by political consultants who wanted to line their bank accounts instead of backing a winner.



Republican political consultants did the exact same thing with another great patriot, John Raese, in West Virginia. West Virginians heard Raese had homes in Palm Beach and Telluride and didn't believe he was one of them. Political consultants heard he had homes in Palm Beach and Telluride and started shopping for Jaguars.



Poor Raese has spent a lot of his own money to lose four statewide elections in conservative West Virginia, including the 2010 and 2012 U.S. Senate elections.



Those races alone amount to at least three and maybe four more Senate seats Republicans should have picked up from Connecticut and West Virginia, but lost for no good reason.



That's five Senate seats.



I haven't even gotten to the tea party candidates, and we would already have a U.S. Senate that's 51-47 Republican, absent Republican traitors, morons and hacks.



No one gets rich by hurting the Democratic Party. But a lot of people get rich off losing races for the Republican Party.



The Republicans' recent brave fight against Obamacare should make conservatives proud. But you know what would have made it even better? If Republicans had had a majority in the Senate.



In 2014, how about Republicans concentrate on flipping Democratic seats to the GOP in conservative Arkansas, Louisiana, West Virginia, Montana and Alaska, instead of wasting money and energy purging impure Republicans in safe seats? Can't we wait until we have a nice big majority to start purging our own incumbents?



Other than Sen. Lindsey Graham -- you can purge him. As a character in Voltaire's "Candide" said, "It is good to hang an admiral from time to time, in order to encourage the others."

Lindsey Graham’s Abandonment Of Egypt’s Christians

Memo to Senator Lindsey Graham: You might want to read this and other stories on how the government in Egypt is trying to protect the Christian minority even as you try and weaken the government. From the Wall Street Journal:

MINYA, Egypt—Osama Makram Amin woke to the sound of gunfire, looked out his window and saw what he says were young men throwing gasoline bombs at the nearby Coptic Christian church.

Earlier that morning, security forces in Cairo had attacked two predominantly Islamist sit-ins, leaving hundreds dead. Now, hours later on Aug. 14, attackers in this Upper Egyptian city were embarking on a day of burning and looting that would target 14 Christian churches, homes and businesses. It was the work of Islamists enraged by the Cairo crackdown, said police and many Christian residents.

For Egypt’s interim government, the attacks on churches in Minya and elsewhere are proof of the dangers posed by the Muslim Brotherhood, whose protests against President Mohammad Morsi’s ouster last month have been met with deadly police force. The government has become a full-throated defender of Christians, calling them victims of Brotherhood “terrorism” and frequently citing damage against churches as it continues its drive

Some of the beleaguered Christians blast the government for failing to stop the attacks and charge that they are being used to generate sympathy for the government, but the reality of the danger they face is not disputed:

Egypt’s Coptic Christian minority makes up about 10% to 15% of the country’s 93 million-person population. For the most part, Christians are distributed evenly throughout Egypt, and integrated into every community and societal layer. A large number of wealthy Christians were thought to have fled Egypt under Mr. Morsi’s yearlong rule.

The highest concentration of Christians are in the cities and villages of Upper Egypt. In Minya’s governate, Bishop Makarias said, Christians make up about 35% of the population, the highest in Egypt.

Coptic Christians here live alongside a large population of hard-line Islamists: Minya is also a heartland of Salafi Muslims, in addition to members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Signs of trouble in Minya emerged shortly after Mr. Morsi’s July 3 overthrow, residents said during an independently arranged visit. Violence between a Christian and Muslim youth mushroomed into rioting and vandalism of Christian homes and businesses, Bishop Makarias said. Imams in two hard-line mosques near the church’s headquarters made anti-Christian statements during Friday prayers, the bishop said.

Owners of businesses throughout downtown Minya also found their properties marked with large X’s—red for Christian-owned stores, black for those owned by Muslims. Christian business owners say they were terrified.

So when the president and Senator Graham threaten the Egyptian government with a cut-off in aid, they are in fact threatening these 9 million Christians with reductions in their already thin line of security.

Thus far none of Senator Graham’s primary challengers have made the plight of Egypt’s imperiled Christians part of their campaign, but follow the websites of Lee Bright and Nancy Mace –both challenging Lindsey Graham, to see if they figure out that the senator is asking his conservative Christian base in the Palmetto State to revolt as he leads the revolt against the General al-Sisi.

Previously, it was mentioned that one of the best uses of your campaign contribution dollars , whether $25 or $5, or more, was to vote out the Senators who are up for election in 2014 that voted for the "Gang of 8" bill. This is accomplished by primary challenges to the Republicans who voted this way, and voting out the Democrats who voted this way.

Last week we covered where to send your money to best influence the U.S. for positive results. One of the best places was to contribute to the Primary Opponants of the Amnesty voting GOP Senators, particularly Lindsay Graham, who, as of now, has three Primary Opponants. They are Nancy Mace, Richard Cash, and Lee Bright. They are breifly analyzed in a Vdare article here.

The 2014 Senate Elections are a good time to start beginning to put true Patriots in the Senate and that is a two-step process.


For the first step, the four GOP Senators who voted for S.744 need to be defeated in the primaries and these are:<br />
Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, Jeff Chiesa of New Jersey, and Susan Collins of Maine.

After fully funding the primary opponents of these four, we then turn to the seven Democrat Senators in Red States. The GOP opponents of these seven should be funded next:<br />
Mark Begich of Alaska, Mark Pryor of Arkansas, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Kay Hagan of North Carolina, Tim Johnson of South Dakota, Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, and Mark Udall of Colorado.

Funding the opponents of these eleven Senators is the best use of your campaign contributions in this off year election. Lindsey Graham deserves special mention because he is one of the GOP members of the Gang of Eight and he is the one up for reelection this time. Eventually, all of the GOP Gang of Eight should be replaced, but he is the one of them up for reelection this time.

The amount you contribute doesn't have to be much! $25 per paycheck is plenty, but even if that is too much for your personal budget, $15, $10, or even $5 will still do wonders!!!
