Numbers USA's Nationwide TV Ad Blitz Focuses Next On Rep. Dave Camp's Part in Worker Betrayal

 House Speaker John Boehner was killing the mandatory E-Verify bill by preventing a vote in Congress.

All this month, we've broadcast a powerful TV ad in key districts across America telling what Boehner has done. Now Boehner and his sidekick Majority Leader Eric Cantor have pointed their fingers at Rep. Dave Camp as the real holdup.

Camp, the Chairman of the powerful Ways and Means Committee, is refusing to release his hold on the 50-state E-Verify bill. His committee has jurisdiction over identity theft. He is unwilling to allow the E-Verify bill to stop illegal aliens from stealing Social Security numbers to obtain U.S. jobs.

It seems Dave Camp IS OKAY with illegal aliens stealing American jobs as long as they pay taxes. He wants the money. So far he's indifferent to the plight of American workers. It's despicable!

Two weeks ago, NumbersUSA started running our hard-hitting TV ad showing that Boehner was strangling the E-Verify bill. The ad asks voters to call Boehner and demand action. I asked you for your financial support so we could put the ad on TV everywhere. Here's what our member Dave V. wrote to me just today:

The staff member who answered the phone sounded annoyed that I would call and ask this question. His excuse for his boss was that the bill was still in committee, and that he could not do anything until it came out of committee. I am not sure how to verify if this is true, but you guys sure can. Thanks for everything that you and the whole Numbers USA team are doing to protect our country and our jobs.”

Boehner has shown that when he wants a bill, he can get it through committee chairmen and to the floor in a matter of days. But he parked the E-Verify bill six months ago with Camp. It's pretty clear to us that Boehner hoped it would die there. But our TV ad and your activism have flushed him out.

Now's the time to find out whether Chairman Camp is a willing fall guy or a co-conspirator.

We must force Dave Camp to sign off on this E-Verify bill. We're putting up a new TV ad EXPOSING CAMP starting next week. We had not counted on this additional expense, however. To produce the ad and air it, we must have your financial support. Should Rep. Camp be able to kill the hopes of millions of unemployed Americans? No, I don't think so either. HELP US! Every dollar we raise online this month will go to buying ads exposing Camp, as well as continuing the ad that calls out John Boehner.

As I stated two weeks ago, mandatory E-Verify is NOT CONTROVERSIAL! Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, and Mitt Romney all voice strong support. President Obama made E-Verify mandatory for federal contractors!

Poll after poll show that huge majorities of voters want E-Verify made mandatory. Our recent Rasmussen/Pulse poll showed that large majorities of every racial group, every income level, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, all strongly back mandatory, national E-Verify. Even most of the business lobbies support it!

Yet despite the views of Americans, Boehner and Camp are strangling this bill. Congressional power brokers work best in secrecy. WE MUST EXPOSE THEM!
