According to WKMG News, on Monday, April 16, a black man named Brandon Long, shouted a racial epithet at a white man named Corey Michael Rose, pistol-whipped Rose bloody from behind, and then pointed the gun at Rose. When Rose pulled his own gun from his waistband, Long ran behind a car. Rose then ran to Long’s side of the car, and shot him “multiple times.”



But Sanford Police Sgt. Dave Morgenstern said the chain of events doesn't exactly point to a self-defense claim.



“It’s not really self defense whenever you go chase the person down who’s hiding behind a car, you go around the car and fire more shots at the person, that's not self defense," Morgenstern said.



Since the black assailant, Brandon Long, was hiding on the other side of a car with a gun, Sanford PD Sgt. Morgenstern is saying that the white victim, Corey Michael Rose, was legally obliged to passively wait for Long to kill him.



Rose has been “arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder, criminal attempt to solicit conspire [sic] and carrying a concealed weapon.”



If the facts cited in the WKMG story below are accurate, this was a classic Stand Your Ground defense, and the Sanford PD and the local prosecutor are breaking the law, where white (and white-enough) crime victims are concerned.



Note that the black WKMG reporter, Louis Bolden, uses the word “slapped,” in order to diminish the severity of Brandon Long’s attack



“Witnesses say the victim called Rose a racial slur, then slapped him across the face with his pistol.”



(“The victim”? If the witnesses all said that Rose acted in self-defense, they did not refer to Long as “the victim.” Bolden should have said “Long,” rather than “the victim.” He did so, in order to confuse viewers.)



The black witness Bolden interviews, Browdy Smith, uses much more stronger—and more accurate (how does a pistol-whipping become a “slap”?) language, and insists that Corey Michael Rose engaged in classic self-defense:





Smith: [Long] came from behind the guy and pistol-whipped him and the man was bloody.



I hate to see him go to jail. ‘Cause that was self-defense.



Bolden says, “Police say it started with an argument,” but that is contradicted by the only witness Bolden has speak on camera, Bolden does not cite any witness statements supporting the PD’s assertion, and he says that all of the “witnesses” say that Rose acted in self-defense.



I am focusing on this “argument” claim, because, as I have learned first-hand in New York, if a black starts menacing a white, cursing him out and threatening him, the police will sophistically translate that into a “verbal dispute,” which grants moral equivalence to both sides, and thus completely misrepresents what happened, in particular, the causality.



As I said to an NYPD cop who tried such sophistry with me last May, regarding a black thug who had threatened me and my son (after I’d saved the racist thug’s dog from running into traffic!), and then chased after us, “A verbal dispute is a Mets fan and a Yankees fan arguing about whose team is better!”



Someone shouting a racial epithet at you, sneaking up behind you and pistol-whipping you bloody, and pointing his gun in your face, is not an “argument.”



If anything should happen to Corey Michael Rose in jail, his blood will be on the hands of the Sanford PD and the local prosecutor. The department and the local prosecutor’s office have now gone completely over to the dark side, and are no more deserving of white support than are urban departments and prosecutors in Northern cities like New York.



Whites in cities like Sanford need to take action against their police departments and prosecutors. This could take the form of demonstrations, petitions, lawsuits and drives to cut their funding. If police and prosecutors are functioning as the armed accomplices of racist black thugs, then white citizens are better off without police and prosecutors, in which case they will only have the racist black thugs to defend themselves from.

Witnesses: Racial slur may have caused shooting



SANFORD, Fla. -



Witnesses say a shooting at a Sanford apartment complex that led to one man being arrested and the other critically injured, could have started from a racial comment.



Police said Corey Michael Rose, 30, was in an altercation with Brandon Long at the Cedar Creek Apartments around 5 p.m. Monday.



Witnesses said Long, who is African-American, according to police reports, called Rose, who is white, a racial slur before hitting Rose in the face with his .40 caliber Glock.



"He came from behind the guy and pistol-whipped him and the man was bloody," said witness Browdy Smith.



Police said Long pointed the gun at Rose. Rose pulled out a gun from his pants and the two hid behind cars. Rose then sought out Long and shot him multiple times, according to the police report.



Long was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center with multiple gunshot wounds.



Rose has been charged with attempted first degree murder, criminal attempt to solicit conspire and carrying a concealed weapon.



The altercation comes on the heels of the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman. Martin was unarmed when Zimmerman shot Martin, claiming he was attacked and it was in self-defense.



Witnesses said from what they saw, Rose [sic] acting in self-defense.



"I hate to see him go to jail, because that was self defense," Smith said.



But Sanford Police Sgt. Dave Morgenstern said the chain of events doesn't exactly point to a self-defense claim.

Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman: Reaffirming the Anti-White Religion

The following column was written by my good friend, Dr. Kevin MacDonald, a frequent guest here on The Political Cesspool Radio Program. In my opinion, this is the single best article written to date on the Martin/Zimmerman story.
You have to be living under a rock not to notice the deluge of media coverage of the Trayvon Martin-George Zimmerman affair. The accounts I have seen inevitably emphasize Blacks as victims and implicitly at least, the message reaffirms the narrative of Blacks as innocent victims of Whites. This of course flies in the face of data on crime showing that Blacks are much more likely to victimize Whites than the reverse, with the media bending over backwards to prevent any indication that race was a factor. I don’t recall any national media outrage recently when two Black teenagers set fire to a White teenager after dousing him with gasoline, even though they said they did it because he was a “white boy.” This happened only a few weeks ago. Rather than the wall-to-wall coverage seen in the Trayvon Martin case, there was only a brief and fleeting mention in the New York Daily News and no mention at all in the prestigious national media. It doesn’t fit the narrative that the media feasts on and promotes. No angst from Obama; no Justice Department investigation of a possible hate crime.
Indeed, it’s quite common for the media not to identify the race of non-White perpetrators. And somehow Mr. Zimmerman’s Latino background also slips into irrelevance.
Also virtually unmentioned is that Martin and Zimmerman were fighting, with at least one witness emphasizing that Martin had the upper hand just before the fatal shot. Although Zimmerman seems to have been overzealous in his scrutiny of possible criminals in his community, he may indeed have been “standing his ground” once the encounter escalated into violence. Indeed, the Orlando Sentinel reports that the police are sticking with the version that Martin was the aggressor.

Police sources say Martin was the aggressor on Feb. 26, knocking Zimmerman to the ground with a single punch and then climbing on top of the 28-year-old neighborhood watch captain and slamming the back of his head into the ground. Police say this account, given by Zimmerman, is supported by eyewitnesses, according to the Sentinel’s report.
One such witness reportedly told police that he saw Martin on top of Zimmerman, striking the man, while Zimmerman cried out for help. The attack left Zimmerman bloodied, police sources told the Sentinel, and led him to fire at Martin in self-defense.
Police say Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose, had a fat lip and confirm that the back of his head was cut. He received first aid at the scene but refused to go to the hospital and received medical treatment the following day, according to the Sentinel’s sources. The above report also indicates that Martin was suspended from school because he was found with an empty baggie for marijuana, a violation of the school’s zero tolerance for drugs policy.
Given all this, it will be very interesting to see how this all plays out. The message of the poor, defenseless Black kid buying Skittles is turning into the thug who was suspended because of drug use at his school and who went out of his way to attack Zimmerman and was pounding his head into the concrete.
The main take-home message thus far, however, is the massive media overkill designed to reinforce the fundamental premise of the new dispensation: Non-Whites as victims of evil Whites—perhaps the most pervasive mantra (in Bob Whitaker’s sense) promoted by the mass media. In all societies, elites reinforce their power by interpreting events in a way that upholds and reinforces the fundamental ideology of the society. In times past, religious figures interpreted events from the perspective of their religious beliefs, and because of their power to disseminate their views to their congregations, it helped reinforce their religious beliefs. Back when America was a self-consciously White country, the media reinforced the image of courageous, brilliant, inventive Whites. The media deluge that greeted Charles Lindbergh when he accomplished his trans-Atlantic flight in 1927 doubtless produced a huge upsurge of national pride and an implicit sense that Whites were uniquely talented and creative (in inventing airplanes) and adventurous in embarking on a very dangerous mission.
But now the media goes into overdrive pretty much only when the message is that Whites are evil or, as with the election of Obama, that America is at last shedding its White identity (and none too soon). The main source of information in today’s society is the mass media which is controlled by an elite that is hostile to the traditional people and culture of America. Events like this, as seen through the lens of the media, serve to reinforce the current multi-cultural zeitgeist which is based on the premise that White people have no right to assert their interests and identity as Whites except when, as in this case, White identity is linked in the media to unjustified violence against non-Whites or some other evil.
The anti-White establishment will use this event to do whatever they can to advance their larger agenda. There have already been calls for repeal of “stand your ground” laws as inherently “racist“—another mantra endlessly repeated by the media. (Actually, the logic is impeccable: If Blacks are far more likely to attack Whites than the reverse, then they are more likely to be victims of “stand your ground” actions.) And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that today’s LATimes features an op-ed by Gregory Rodriguez arguing that free speech should be curtailed in the interests of managing diversity.
The scary thing about the new religion is that it is hell-bent on legislating itself into permanence by enacting police state controls that would reinforce the already pervasive informal controls that threaten Whites with loss of livelihood if they publicly stray from affirming the multicultural dogma. After all, with such a morally uplifting ideal, anything is permissible.

ABC's Reckless Zimmerman Video 'Exclusive' Reveals Nothing

ABC is hyping a grainy police surveillance video in an outrageous and reckless attempt to suggest that police and Zimmerman may be lying as regards events on the night Trayvon Martin was shot and killed.

It is an egregious abuse of the network's influence and quest for attention from non-news, as death threats and demands for retaliation spread. Are we to believe that a widely distributed mugshot of Zimmerman suddenly doesn't exist just so ABC can tout an alleged video scoop?

Trayvon Martin Video Shows No Blood or Bruises on George Zimmerman

It's ridiculous to believe that the low quality video reveals anything we didn't already know about events that night. Compare the mugshot to the weak video and judge for yourself.

According to reports, Zimmerman was attended to at the scene of the incident by paramedics. An investigation began, and there was no rush to take Zimmerman to a hospital, or simply to remove him before he was cleaned up somehow.

Already, the Martin family is saying this new video somehow reveals something we didn't know. True, there appears to be no blood on Zimmerman's shirt in the new video. He is pictured in a gray T-shirt. Yet in ABC's own report from March 13 on the fateful events of Feb. 26, ABC claimed Zimmerman was wearing a red "sweatshirt." While Zimmerman is wearing a red and black jacket in this new video, we have no idea if he may have taken off a sweatshirt at the scene.

If it was that jacket and not a sweatshirt Zimmerman was wearing at the time, again, the grainy quality of the video makes it impossible to determine if there was blood on it to some extent. All ABC has done here is overreach for a so-called scoop in a tragic story in which we don't yet know all the details. The new video sheds no real new light on what happens. It only agitates emotions surrounding the case while they are more than agitated enough already. ABC should be ashamed of its reckless highlighting of a non-story for the benefit of their network and no one else.
