July 4 Parallels -- King George wasn't more insensitive to needs of Americans than Congress or 'King Rupert'

A very interesting post from www.NumbersUSA.com about some of the people who are keeping America from having a TRUE Independence Day. This follows this post asking Mitt Romney to take a stand against Barack Obama's Executive Amnesty.  This follows this post about Marco Rubio's DREAM Act. This follows this post about the Black Caucus hurting Black Americans with their immigration stand. This follows this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! July 4 Parallels -- King George wasn't more insensitive to needs of Americans than Congress or 'King Rupert'

Even on Independence Day -- especially on this day -- I have to ask you to take a few minutes to protect your own pursuit of happiness . . . .

. . . because industry titans like Rupert Murdoch, Jack Welch and Michael Bloomberg are waging an all-out effort right now for mass immigration policies that will add huge new burdens on taxpayers while restricting the freedom of millions of Americans to earn a decent living.

This is especially clear after widespread news reports of their meeting this last week with Mitt Romney in which they decried his immigration stances (for immigration enforcement and against mass amnesties) and demanded that he change them.

It isn't just the presumed Republican presidential nominee whom they are trying to bully into open-borders positions. This type of men have gigantic influence on both Parties in the little 100-member club known as the U.S. Senate, which I was told yesterday by one insider is nearing majority, bi-partisan consensus to INCREASE foreign labor importation even as unemployment is rising again.

4th of JULY CELEBRATES REFUSAL TO ACCEPT STATUS QUO

The 4th of July is about celebrating early Americans who refused to be satisfied with a status quo that they felt restricted their life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

Unfortunately, the U.S. Senate under Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) and the U.S. House under Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) have done nothing to fight the immigration status quo that forces millions of Americans to be unemployed, struggling to support their families.

Instead, the Senate and House have stood by as the government issued work permits to 2 million more immigrants and other foreign workers since the beginning of the current Congress.

And they have not done a single thing to open up the construction, service and manufacturing jobs held by 7 million illegal aliens.

Not only are millions of Americans unemployed because of the inaction in Congress, but many millions more have seen their wages depressed. And many more millions of taxpayers have had to pick up the safety net costs of all the unemployed and underemployed Americans.

Is it possible that King George of England was any more insensitive to the needs of Americans in the colonies than have been "King" Rupert, along with his acolytes Harry and John in Congress, in their immigration efforts?

EARLIER ACTIVISM IS BLOCKING MURDOCH FOR THE MOMENT

The good news from the effort of the Rupert Murdochs in that Romney meeting is that Gov. Romney is reported to have directly resisted the demand to change immigration positions.

The Washington Post reported: "At the meeting, (Romney) insisted that he will maintain his position on immigration rather than risk appearing to switch sides."

Friends, nobody more than you was responsible for the pressure that candidates felt during the Primary debates to make highly public declarations of support for strong immigration enforcement. Gov. Romney made some of the best promises. Now, he feels obligated to stand by those promises (at the least for political reasons not to be seen as flip-flopping, and hopefully because he and his staff have come to believe they are right for the country).

Rupert Murdoch came out of that meeting (with 50 other high rollers) calling for Romney to get rid of a lot of his staff, presumably because they aren't convincing Romney of the wisdom of Murdoch & pals concerning policies like immigration.

Please go to the Take Action section of this website and make your voice heard in the offices of your Members of Congress, and whistle a revolutionary tune that reminds you that "we the people" may just end up being more powerful than even Rupert Murdoch.
