""We could have built 10 miles of sand boom already." LA Governor Jindal

A very interesting post from http://www.hughhewitt.com/ about the Federal Government's incompetence in dealing with the Gulf Oil Spill. This follows this previous post about Barack Obama's incompetence on the Gulf Oil Spill and this previous article about the recent news about offshore drilling to encourage American energy independence This is a key issue to prevent money from going to hostile countries such as Iran and Venezuela. Time has a story on Presidnet Obama's refusal to allow Louisiana officials to proceed with plans to dredge sand to build berms to keep the oil from getting to beaches and wetlands. This is the same subject as my Washinton Examiner column, and hopefully MSM will increase the focus on one of the key failures of Team Obama's response to the massive Gulf spill. "The federal government may not be able to stop the leak," theTimes-Picayune editorialized this morning, "but it can and should take charge of keeping oil from reaching our shores."That would require Team Obama to start doing the obvious, but there is no sign that action will replace words any time soon.
