Three national organizations have formed a broader coalition of groups that are now arranging more than 300 protests against the Obama-inspired illegal immigration surge on America's borders that will take place on July 18-19, 2014.

Overpasses for America, Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), and the new group that initiated the protests Make Them Listen are pleased to announce that American citizens who are encouraged by the turning back of Obama's illegal immigrant filled buses in Murrieta, California, and Oracle, Arizona, are now joining protests of varied sizes at state capitals, Mexican Consulates, overpasses, intersections, and illegal immigrant drop off points and detention facilities.

I support Arizona’s S. B. 1070. Therefore, I am a Nazi.
Despite my 25-year Lodi resume that includes teaching English to immigrants of all colors and faiths, sitting on the American Cancer Society’s local board, instructing senior citizens about computer literacy and advising People Assisting the Lodi Shelter, I am the equal of Adolf Hitler's followers.
According to those who oppose the Arizona legislation and the journalists who agree with them, my Nazi sympathies are obvious.
No less an authority on morals than Los Angeles Archbishop Roger Cardinal Mahony repeatedly confirms it: SB 1070 reminds him of Nazi Germany. How Mahony can pretend to take the high road is beyond me. In 2007, Mahony’s archdiocese paid out $660 million to settle pedophilia sex abuse charges against its priests.
Mainstream media reporting on SB 1070 represents the profession’s lowest moment. And that is saying a mouthful.
To compare, even indirectly, Americans who believe that federal immigration law should be enforced to Nazis is an outrage. Not even a remote comparison can be made between what happened in Germany and what’s going on in Arizona.
As you know by now, SB 1070 requires no more than the federal statute already on the books that instructs lawful immigrants to carry a U.S. government-issued green card as proof of authorization to live and work in America.
If they're not permanent residents, they need "temporary visas" that allow them to visit as tourists, students or seasonal workers.
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said, to an apparently deaf media audience:
"The legislation mirrors federal laws regarding immigration enforcement. Despite erroneous and misleading statements suggesting otherwise, the new state misdemeanor crime of willful failure to complete or carry an alien registration document is adopted, verbatim, from the same offense founding federal statute."
The truth is that native-born American citizens regularly have to show identification. Try to buy groceries without a driver’s license. See if you can get on Southwest Airlines with proof of who you are. Not even the public library will issue you a card to borrow books published fifty years ago without confirmation of your name and current address.
Despite suggestions to the contrary, SB 1070 does not authorize or require random roundups or stop-checks.
The bill’s key phrase is "reasonable suspicion" which like "probable cause" is a well-established legal concept requiring that a law enforcement officer must possess sufficiently trustworthy facts to believe a crime has been committed.
For example, an Arizona driver who has been stopped for running a red light who cannot produce a valid driver’s license might be the object of reasonable suspicion.
On the other hand, an Arizona resident who “looks Mexican” and is walking peacefully down to street to buy ice cream for his children could not be asked for identification.
Over the past ten days, I have challenged reporters from major California dailies who have written about public figures like Mahony that link patriotic citizens to Nazis.
In telephone conversations, I ask them if they know friends, have relatives or co-workers who are sympathetic to the intent of SB 1070.
Since this is California where illegal immigration is as much a problem as it is in Arizona, the reporters of course know several from the pro-enforcement crowd.
When I then ask the reporters if they consider their friends and family as Nazis, they answer no.
Here’s how I close my conversations.
Just because someone like Mahony says that SB 1070 advocates remind him of Nazis, reporters do not have to include his statement in their stories since his charge is baseless and incendiary.
But if unsubstantiated, outrageous lies slip into a story, the editors could strike them. Newspapers should not print hurtful allegations, especially when the unnamed targets of them like me are not given a chance to respond.
Surprisingly, President Barack Obama and the Anti-Defamation League agree.
At his University of Michigan commencement speech, Obama called for “civil discourse” about political differences.
Abraham H. Foxman, Director of the ADL, added:
“It also is incumbent upon our political leaders on both sides of the aisle, and on both sides of the immigration debate or whatever the hot-button issue of the day, to be responsible for their words, to consider their criticism carefully and to refrain from bringing Nazis or the Holocaust into the discussion.” (Take the “Nazi” Out of Arizona Criticism, by Abraham H. Obama and Foxman have the right idea. Although Obama is posturing, Foxman is not. Nevertheless, here’s hoping that not only politicians but also journalists follow their advice.

Several national and local groups are dropping plans for a June 5 rally in Phoenix Arizona to unite with more groups on June 12 to form a larger rally in support of the state of Arizona, SB 1070, and the enforcement of our existing border and immigration laws. Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) and Tea Party Patriots Live decided to combine strength on June 12 to lower confusion about multiple events and to increase turnout and political impact. This historic combined event will be on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 4-7pm in Bolin Memorial Park, which is located at 1649 W. Adams St. in Phoenix, AZ across from the Arizona legislature. "We want Americans from all states to converge on Arizona with us on the weekend of June 12 to shop in the state and show our support for local police enforcing our immigration laws, SB 1070, and the brave people in Arizona that have spoken out for the American public on immigration," said William Gheen President of ALIPAC. Not every illegal immigrant in the United States snuck across the border. A very large number, perhaps as many as 5.5 million, entered legally with visas and then never left. But unlike the hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants apprehended at the border every year, very few visa violators are ever caught.

The Border Patrol's Tucson sector, the busiest in the nation, logged 112,488 apprehensions last fiscal year. In comparison, federal agents in Arizona tracked down and arrested 27 people who had overstayed their visas. Visa violators represent nearly half of the 11 million illegal immigrants in the country. But they have been largely ignored amid a national clamor to secure the border, fueled in part by Arizona's tough new immigration law, the killing of a southern Arizona rancher and worries that cartel violence in Mexico could spill into this country, analysts and experts say. "It's not that we have too much emphasis on the border. We still need enforcement on the border. The problem is not enough attention to the other issue," said Michael W. Cutler, a former senior agent with the Immigration and Naturalization Service, which became Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In the past five years, the number of Border Patrol agents stationed along the U.S.-Mexico line has doubled, to more than 20,000 people. That's the highest level of staffing in the Border Patrol's 85-year history. And Arizona politicians including Republican Gov. Jan Brewer, Republican Sens. John McCain and Jon Kyl, and Democratic Reps. Gabrielle Giffords and Ann Kirkpatrick have called for deploying the National Guard to the border, too. There has been no corresponding call to increase the search for those who overstay visas. In 2003, Immigration and Customs Enforcement created a special unit to track down visa violators. Funding grew from $6.7 million the first year to $68.3 million in fiscal year 2009, according to testimony in March by Assistant Homeland Security Secretary for ICE John Morton to the House Homeland Security Committee. Investigators analyze records of hundreds of thousands of potential violators based on data from various government databases that keep track of students, tourists and other people who enter the U.S. On average, the 272 investigators assigned to the unit arrest 1,400 visa violators a year, Morton said. ICE officials said the number of overstayers arrested each year has steadily risen, though they could not provide details. Lon Weigand, assistant special agent in charge of ICE investigations in Phoenix, said most of the 27 visa violators in Arizona last year had overstayed tourist visas. ICE could not say whether that was up or down from previous years. Border emphasis A USA Today/Gallup poll released May 4 showed that four in 10 Americans think it is extremely important for the government to do more this year to control U.S. borders. McCain, who sits on the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, said illegal immigrants who overstay their visas are a "serious problem." But "certainly not along the lines of what is happening on our border, though," McCain said, mentioning the killing of rancher Robert Krentz and the April 30 wounding of a Pinal County sheriff's deputy. Drug smugglers are suspected in both incidents. There also are fears that the increasing cartel violence in Mexico, where tens of thousands have been killed since the 2006 war on drugs began, could spill over the border. "We've got drug smuggling. We've got murder. We've got abuse of human rights and human smugglers. We've got heavily armed and equipped organizations that are responsible for the deaths of 22,000 Mexican citizens," McCain said. Cutler, the former immigration agent, likened the attention heaped on border security to a wing on an airplane. "Without the wing, the plane won't fly. But the wing alone does not constitute an airplane," he said. Kirkpatrick, who sits on the House Homeland Security Committee, said the attention to the border is justified. "The risk of violence spilling into Arizona is clearly there. I am not going to wait for that risk to become a reality or for that problem to come to us," she said. But she acknowledged that more attention needs to be paid to visa violators, especially keeping better track of people who don't leave after their visas expire. In general, people from other countries must obtain a visa to come to the United States as a student, tourist or businessperson. They are required to fill out an I-94 form when they arrive and turn it in when they leave. People from 36 "visa waiver" countries, including Britain, Spain and Ireland, are not required to obtain a visa if they plan to stay for less than 90 days for tourist or business purposes. "The ease in which people can overstay their visas is a significant security threat," Kirkpatrick said. Less focus on interior The Pew Hispanic Center estimates that 40 to 50 percent of the nation's 11 million illegal immigrants entered the country legally. As of May 2006, the most current data available, 4 million to 5.5 million people had entered the U.S. legally and then remained after their visas had expired. An additional 250,000 to 500,000 people entered legally with temporary border-crossing cards and then stayed. "Building fences and stopping people from sneaking into the country only goes part way," said Jeffrey Passel, senior demographer at the center who studies the undocumented population. Passel said 35 million people come to the U.S. with visas every year for extended stays. On top of that, there are millions of people who cross through land ports each year for short visits, making it difficult to keep track of everyone who enters and leaves. "We allow this because it is good for the country. We want tourists to come here. We want students to come," Passel said. "But even if 99 percent turn around and leave," a significant number remain. Gerald Burridge 58, an illegal immigrant from Britain, entered the U.S. on a three-year visitor's visa in 2003 and stayed after it expired. Interviewed at the ICE facility on Central Avenue in Phoenix, Burridge said he was arrested for failing to pay a drug-related fine and now is facing deportation. Jena McNeill, a policy analyst for the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, said that because most people overstay their visas to work illegally in the U.S., tracking those who enter and leave does little to solve the problem without also beefing up work-site enforcement. "There are things we need to do at the border, but we need to get serious about interior enforcement," McNeill said.

We regret to inform everyone that Hollywood just released a movie into theaters on the weekend of Cinco de Mayo that glorifies and encourages illegal aliens to take up arms against Americans.
While some will claim this movie is a spoof, you need to watch the trailer yourself.
The movie is about an illegal alien that gets double crossed after accepting a commission to murder an American politician that is driving illegal aliens out of our country.
The protagonists then lead an army of machete and AK-47 wielding illegal aliens in a violent uprising. In Central and South America, the machete is a symbol of violent revolt.
Many of us are greatly concerned that the introduction of this propaganda film, at this time, with the specific threat against the state of Arizona could greatly increase the chances of violent harm against Americans by illegal aliens.

It is not in the same league as other major civil-rights protests in the history of sports, but Robert Sarver's decision to have his Phoenix Suns wear "Los Suns" jerseys Wednesday to protest Arizona's new immigration law is unusual. That's the view of Richard O. Arizona was in the national spotlight again Wednesday after Sarver, the Suns' managing general partner, announced his team would wear the special uniforms in an outward expression of distaste for Arizona's new law. Sarver, other team officials and players also criticized the law, which makes it a state crime to be in Arizona without proper documentation and requires local police to check the legal status of suspected undocumented immigrants. The move got the attention of President Barack Obama, who made reference to the jerseys Wednesday in a Cinco de Mayo celebration at the White House. But it also got the attention of some irate fans - there is substantial public support for the law in Arizona - and conservative radio talk-show host Rush Limbaugh, who called the move sad and shortsighted. One outraged fan told The Arizona Republic that she shredded her four lower-level tickets to Wednesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs in protest. Meanwhile, 84 letters to the editor were sent to The Republic on Wednesday, 79 opposed to Sarver's decision. "I'm very unhappy, and I don't think they should get involved," said Roger Gibbard, who lives outside Queen Creek and has been a Suns fan since 1981. Yet Davies, the professor, said sports figures have played major roles in civil-rights movements over the years. He pointed to Jackie Robinson breaking baseball's color barrier in 1947, the Black Power salute by U.S. sprinters at the 1968 Olympics, and boxer Muhammad Ali's refusal to fight in the Vietnam War. Sports figures have a unique ability, given their popularity, to turn the spotlight on key issues, whether viewed through a moral or political lens. Davies said Sarver's decision is nowhere close to the historical events in which sports figures fought to eliminate racial barriers, but "it's out of the ordinary" because most teams don't want to take stands, regardless of the principles involved, that might alienate fans who buy tickets and merchandise. The professor added that most superstar athletes, notably basketball's Michael Jordan, have refused to take political or social stands for fear of alienating those who buy products they endorse. Sarver's decision clearly created a firestorm. By midday Wednesday, he no longer wanted to talk about it. He also declined to answer questions about whether the decision could hurt the team financially. "I'm not going to go there," he said. "I don't have any more public comments." Rick Welts, the team's chief executive, said fans appeared to be split on the issue. He said the response was "exactly what we expected." The team has no plans to wear the "Los Suns" jerseys for the rest of the best-of-seven-game series with the Spurs, Welts said. A spokesman for Gov. Jan Brewer, meanwhile, said she was surprised that the Suns had denounced the immigration law, given the bill was "debated publicly for four months" at the Capitol. "I don't recall the Phoenix Suns ever taking a position in an open public discussion on this," said Paul Senseman, the governor's spokesman. Senseman called some of the comments made by Suns General Manager Steve Kerr comparing the law to Nazi Germany "ugly" and "hateful." Down the street from US Airways Center, the Arizona Diamondbacks, who have been the target of protests on the road during the past two weeks, plan to wear "Los D-Backs" jerseys on Sept. 4 to honor Hispanic Heritage Day.
