"Toughen up, spoiled children."
Following last week’s historic eruption of conflict at the University of Missouri, Young America’s Foundation (YAF) will sponsor a lecture titled, “Truth is a Microaggression,” by conservative powerhouse Ben Shapiro on Thursday, November 19 at 6:00 PM in Ellis Auditorium.
Shapiro, a New York Times bestselling author and syndicated columnist, who serves as editor-in-chief of DailyWire.com, editor at large of Breitbart, and also hosts radio shows on KRLA and KTIE, will confront Missouri’s campus protesters face-to-face, denouncing their behavior and invading their sacred “safe space” with the raw truth about free speech.
Shapiro, a Harvard Law graduate, will clearly outline the facts and shatter the campus’ culture of political correctness with a bold, conservative message.
Protests and disruption of the lecture are expected.
Leaders in Mizzou’s conservative club rushed to organize this event with Young America’s Foundation after attending YAF’s Fall Conference at the Reagan Ranch this past weekend where Shapiro discussed the revolt on their campus.
“As an organization that works with students every day, we know how desperately the University of Missouri’s needs leaders on the ground to articulate a strong argument against the reckless actions of its progressive student body—There is no better candidate for the job than Ben Shapiro,” said Young America’s Foundation President Ron Robinson. “He will provide the education on free speech and political correctness the school’s liberal professors have clearly failed to administer.”
Shapiro remarked, "I look forward to an open and honest debate about fundamental issues like free speech and racism and phantom 'white privilege' in the United States.”
He continued, “I also look forward to microaggressing people through such debate. Toughen up, spoiled children.”
