Tell Texas State Senators To Pass Anti-Sanctuary, DPS Bills

An interesting article from www.numbersusa.com about Texas immigration bills. This follows this post about amnestied illegal aliens getting EITC. This follows this post on HOW amnesty is funded in ways other than the DHS. Remember, “Amnesty” means ANY non-enforcement of existing immigration laws! This follows this comment and this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! Also, you can read two very interesting books HERE.
I am leaving TWITTER SOON. Please continue to follow me here.

Dear activist,
On Monday, March 16 the state Senate Veteran Affairs & Military Installations Subcommittee on Border Security will hold a hearing on two bills. SB185 would prohibit illegal-alien sanctuary cities in Texas while SB3 amends the law creating the Texas Department of Public Safety to, among other things, allow the agency to set up border checkpoints and strengthen penalties for human smuggling.
Please help pass these bills by contacting the Members of the subcommittee as well as your State Senator. Instructions are included below.
Contacting for Committee Members
Please call and email the below-noted committee members with the message:
"Please pass SB185 and SB3. All policies that shield illegal immigrants from detection and facilitate their presence must be ended. These policies are not needed to protect witnesses and crime victims who are illegal immigrants because they are protected under the federal "U" visa. And we need to change the law creating the Public Safety Department to improve its ability to combat threats from foreign smugglers."
Additional Talking Points
The patchwork array of sanctuary cities around Texas is leaving criminal illegal immigrants on our streets. This subjects Texans to unnecessary dangers, including from criminals who are deported but keep returning.

Two laws passed in 1996 expressly forbid sanctuary policies. Those statutes say in plain English that a city may not have a policy that prohibits its officers from communicating with the federal government about a person's immigration status.

When public assistance agencies are prevented from inquiring about an applicant's immigration status, public benefits are distributed to ineligible illegal immigrants. This displaces benefits meant for needy Texans! Taxpayers should not foot the bill for covering illegal immigrants.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
