Editorial
This week I wanted to point out a key North Carolina Primary race. NumbersUSA.com points out that Tuesday's race in this district could determine the immigration direction of this country.
To quote from them:
You can read Rep. ELLMERS' website and contribute to her campaign here: http://www.reneeforcongress.com/
You can read Frank ROCHE's website and contribute to his campaign here: http://frankrocheforcongress.com/
Comparisons of the immigration positions on 12 issues can be found at:
https://www.numbersusa.com/content/elections/races/congressional/house-election/2014-north-carolina-2nd-congressional-district.html
(NumbersUSA does not endorse candidates but provides clear comparisons of how they stand on immigration issues. People receiving our emails make their decisions based on those comparisons as well as other information they can obtain about candidates' abilities and positions on other issues.)

ONLY A FEW FEATURED RACES NATIONWIDE
BUT EVERYBODY CAN PARTICIPATE
===================================
Most of you don't have a congressional race in your district that could greatly influence whether Congress passes an amnesty in the next three years -- or even this year.
But there are a handful of races across the country where voters can send a powerful message either way.
Every voter in every district can make a difference in those races by contributing campaign funds in those few districts that are not their own.
You can find the special page of FEATURED RACES at:

On the FEAUTURED RACES page, you will see that several other states are holding primaries later in May.

REP. ELLMERS BELIEVES CITIZENS OF
OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE RIGHT TO U.S. JOBS
==================================
Rep. Ellmers is one of the Republican incumbents that Facebook's Mark Zuckerman is running ads to re-elect. His stated goal is to protect Republicans who support giving work permits to all illegal aliens and increasing future foreign workers. His ads state that Rep. Ellmers opposes amnesty even though she openly calls for giving work permits and permanent residency to nearly all illegal aliens in the country.
She wrote a column in a local newspaper explaining her views, which can be read here: https://www.numbersusa.com/content/elections/candidates/republican/renee-ellmers.html
Perhaps the most telling quote was this:
"If an individual wants to come to this country to work, to provide for his family and contribute to his community, he should be allowed to do so."
It is difficult to see what kind of future American workers would have if that philosophy became fully implemented. But it is indeed the philosophy of the Republican leadership in the U.S. House, of the Republican National Committee, of the Obama White House and of virtually the entire Democratic Party at this time. A reporter told me this week that if somebody like Renee Ellmers isn't hurt politically by taking that stance, it is pretty clear the American public is not bothered by big increases in foreign labor.
