1st AMNESTY VOTE LIKELY WEDNESDAY

An interesting post from www.NumbersUSA.com about this week's DREAM ACT closure vote. This follows this post about the Black Caucus's take on immigration and this post which shows that there are 30,000 openly illegal immigrants in the border town of El Paso. On a related note, you can read about Miss Kentucky Latina here or an interesting article about Jessica Alba here. For more that you can do to get involved click  HERE!

1st AMNESTY VOTE LIKELY WEDNESDAY

Congressional leaders are now promising DREAM Act amnesty votes starting on Wednesday. We could kill the whole nightmare if we can win the very first vote.

Please look at the many lists below and see where you can make a difference with the phone on Monday.

The open-borders people were beating us Friday on the phone calls, according to our activists who were on the Hill and in their offices. Furthermore, Pres. Obama's massive grassroots operations are setting up phone banks across the country tomorrow to try to give the appearance of popular support for another amnesty.

YOUR phone calls are the only thing that can change the false impression of grassroots support for amnesty.

No. 1 MOST IMPORTANT ACTION -- UNCOMMITTED 2012 DEMS

Phone Senate Democrats who are up for RE-ELECTION IN 2012 and who remain publicly UNCOMMITTED as to how they will vote on DREAM.

Be polite, because these folks are being brutalized by the pro-amnesty student actvists. They will appreciate a calm phone call.

When you call, tell them one or two of these:

you appreciate their general opposition to amnesty in the past but you can't figure out why they haven't announced their opposition this time around.

if they vote YES on "cloture" for the DREAM amnesty, that vote will be an amnesty albatross around their necks during the 2012 elections

dozens of pro-amnesty Democratic seats in Congress turned Republican in the November elections. Voting YES on this amnesty will help put their Senate seat in jeopardy.

even if there are young illegal aliens who deserve a chance at an amnesty, the DREAM Act is not the bill -- it has zero enforcement to keep millions of other foreign parents from illegally bringing their children to put them in the same situation that DREAM is supposed to fix.

No. 2 MOST IMPORTANT LIST

-- OTHER UNCOMMITTED SENATORS (both R & D)

You don't have the 2012 elections to hold over their heads. But these are Senators who ought to be with us. They need a counter-weight to the thousands of phone calls they are getting from the pro-amnesty forces.

When you call, tell them this:

you appreciate their general opposition to amnesty in the past but you can't figure out why they haven't announced their opposition this time around.

No. 3 CALL LIST -- 2012 SENATE DEMOCRATS

WHO SAY THEY WILL VOTE YES ON AMNESTY

Yes, some of these look like hopeless causes. But they just saw five dozen Democratic seats in Congress flipped to GOP in November. They may not feel so secure any more.

Plus, we're stuck with these Senators for at least two more years. They need to feel just how unpopular their pro-amnesty ways are. Our past experience is that we oten can get 10-20% of these kinds of politicians to pleasantly surprise us when the vote actually occurs if we push hard enough.

When you call, tell them:

if they vote YES on "cloture" for the DREAM amnesty, that vote will be an amnesty albatross around their necks during the 2012 elections

the DREAM Act is an amnesty without a single enforcement element that will reduce illegal workers coming to take jobs in the future.

a YES on DREAM is a vote to kill the dreams of millions of young unemployed Americans who can't find a job

No. 4 CALL LIST -- WISHY-WASHY REPUBLICANS

It will be difficult to defeat the amnesty without these Republicans who have been indicating that they will vote NO. But their past performances give us a lot of worry about what they will end up doing. And they are under enormous pressure from the pro-amnesty lobby.

Be polite when you call. Tell them:

the DREAM Act is an amnesty without a single enforcement element that will reduce illegal workers coming to take jobs in the future.

No. 5 CALL LIST -- COMMITTED PRO-AMNESTY REPUBLICANS

These Republicans immediately broke with most of the Members of their Party to announce their aggressive support for rewarding and enticing more illegal immigration.

They should not be spared the pain of massive public dissent, especially Lugar who is starting to attract interest for a Primary challenger against him in the 2012 elections.

Call with your animosity toward their announced intention to vote YES on the amnesty.
