If you or I were to seriously harm another person (hypothetically speaking), in the Western world we would be brought before a judge and jury to receive an appropriate punishment. The prosecuting attorney would emphasize the tragic condition of the innocent victim, and the defense lawyer would point out any extenuating circumstances in a plea for the perpetrator. Motive would be argued by these two lawyers.
Any witnesses would be called to testify either for or against the accused. The judge would disallow inappropriate testimony. Finally the jury would retire to consider the case in private. In due time, if they had been convinced by the prosecutor's arguments, they would return to court with a guilty verdict. The sentence would be handed out by the judge on a later date.
This oversimplified fictional scenario pretty much sums up the way in which many conceive of the subject of judgment—usually with undue emphasis on the final verdict and sentencing. The popular concept runs very negatively.
But what does God's inspired Word teach? The rendering of “eternal judgment” in the Bible is a far more serious matter than, say, ruling on the petty misdemeanors that normally characterize a Judge Judy courtroom. Our final destiny is seriously at stake! Just what does Scripture say regarding God's judgment of the world?

God is the Judge

In pleading for any righteous individuals in wicked Sodom, the patriarch Abraham asked God, “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:25 Genesis 18:25That be far from you to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from you: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
American King James Version×
). There were not even 10 righteous persons in Sodom, but God spared “righteous Lot” (2 Peter 2:7 2 Peter 2:7And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
American King James Version×
) and his two daughters from the catastrophe that followed.
The New Testament also tells us that “God [is] the judge of all” (Hebrews 12:23 Hebrews 12:23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
American King James Version×
). Jesus Christ revealed that God the Father is “Lord of heaven and earth” (Matthew 11:25 Matthew 11:25At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them to babes.
American King James Version×
). As always, He remains the ultimate authority, presiding over the entire universe and everything in it, visible and invisible. Our eternal destiny is in His capable hands.
Yet the Father delegates the awesome responsibility of judging human beings to His beloved Son: “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son”(John 5:22 John 5:22For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son:
American King James Version×
, emphasis added throughout). This is because Jesus actually lived as a human being Himself (verse 27), showing God's eminent fairness. Of course, Jesus is of the same mind as the Father, declaring, “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30 John 10:30I and my Father are one.
American King James Version×
).
The context of this passage shows that the resurrection from the dead intersects with Christ's coming judgment: “Most assuredly I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live” (verse 25). Everyone who has died will hear Christ's voice (verse 28).
Humanity will be resurrected from the dead. We have Christ's absolute guarantee preserved in His inspired Word to mankind. The resurrection will occur! And numerous passages link this with a time of coming judgment.

The plan of salvation

God planned His whole creation. He thought things out well in advance. Human beings figure prominently in the awesome future God is working toward. He made men and women in His own image (Genesis 1:26-27 Genesis 1:26-27 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
American King James Version×
) with the ultimate goal of bringing them into His divine family. People have sinned, but God's purpose is to redeem and save them.
The Bible reveals God's master plan of salvation. It begins and ends with Jesus Christ. Notice what the apostle Paul stated: “He [the Father] raised Him [Jesus] up from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come” (Ephesians 1:20-21 Ephesians 1:20-21 20 Which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
American King James Version×
).
Earlier in this chapter Paul told the Christians at Ephesus, “He [the Father] made known to us his secret purpose, in accordance with the plan which he determined beforehand in Christ, to be put into effect when the time was ripe; namely that the universe, everything in heaven and earth, might be brought into a unity with Christ” (verses 9-10, Revised English Bible).
Judgment is a major part of that divine plan. “Eternal judgment” follows the “resurrection from the dead” in the listing of six major biblical doctrines that lay a foundation for going on to perfection in Hebrews 6:1-2 Hebrews 6:1-2 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
American King James Version×
. It begins with those whom the Bible calls the firstfruits of God (Romans 8:23 Romans 8:23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
American King James Version×
; James 1:18 James 1:18Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
American King James Version×
; Hebrews 12:22-23 Hebrews 12:22-23 22 But you are come to mount Sion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
American King James Version×
).
These relative few are privileged to be made aware of God's plan of salvation well in advance of the vast majority of mankind. They will be in the first and better resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:23 1 Corinthians 15:23But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
American King James Version×
; Hebrews 11:35 Hebrews 11:35Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
American King James Version×
). God the Father and Christ the Son are laboring to bring the firstfruits to eternal glory (Hebrews 2:10 Hebrews 2:10For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
American King James Version×
). As we will see, judgment plays a major role in that work of salvation.

Judgment begins with the Church of God

The apostle Peter firmly stated: “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17 1 Peter 4:17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
American King James Version×
). Then Peter asks, “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and sinner appear?” (verse 18).
Does this passage then mean that truly converted Christians will just barely make the first resurrection into God's family? Not at all!
The word “scarcely” is translated from the Greek adverb molis, meaning “with difficulty” (Strong's no. 3433). In fact, the few other uses of this word in the New Testament indicate the meaning to more specifically be “with such difficulty as to seem that success would be unlikely.” Indeed, Christ said that the way to salvation is a narrow and difficult path (Matthew 7:14 Matthew 7:14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it.
American King James Version×
). Yet even what is impossible for men is possible with God (Matthew 19:26 Matthew 19:26But Jesus beheld them, and said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
American King James Version×
).
One of the overriding principles of sound biblical study is that we search out all the relevant scriptures bearing on a particular subject. In his second letter Peter points out a number of Christian attributes that we should all be developing: faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love.
He then concludes: “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 1:10-11 2 Peter 1:10-11 10 Why the rather, brothers, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
American King James Version×
). This majestic event occurs at the time of the first resurrection when Christ returns to planet earth (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain to the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
American King James Version×
; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
American King James Version×
).
In the meantime, the Church is going through a period of judgment—which means a time of evaluation and of disciplinary consequences for disobedience. Such helpful chastening is part of the difficulties a Christian must endure (Hebrews 12:7 Hebrews 12:7If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not?
American King James Version×
). In stating what he did in 1 Peter 4:18 1 Peter 4:18And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
American King James Version×
, Peter was referring to Proverbs 11:31 Proverbs 11:31Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
American King James Version×
: “If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner?”

Awaiting a future judgment

Indeed, what about the ungodly and the sinner in today's world—including those who cavalierly cast aside the Ten Commandments with little regard for the hurt and destruction they cause themselves and others? Clearly such rebellion carries grave consequences. But are such people—most of humanity, in fact—lost forever with no hope of salvation?
The apostle Paul was inspired to write in the Bible of converted Christians: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”(Romans 5:8 Romans 5:8But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
American King James Version×
). Would not our just and merciful God also demonstrate His love to other sinners in desperate need of real repentance and His merciful forgiveness? God gave His Son because He loved the whole world (John 3:16 John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
American King James Version×
).
Peter points out, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 2 Peter 3:9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
American King James Version×
). This is the loving nature of our God who is filled with mercy. He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked.
Paul writes of “God our Saviour, whose will it is that all should find salvation and come to know the truth”(1 Timothy 2:3-4 1 Timothy 2:3-4 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
American King James Version×
, REB). A false, satanic gospel has denied many people access to the truth of God.
Jesus Christ said: “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth [crucified], will draw all peoples to Myself”(John 12:32 John 12:32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to me.
American King James Version×
). Christ is going to straighten out this world in His coming reign on earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords with the assistance of the resurrected and transformed saints (Revelation 20:4 Revelation 20:4And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark on their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
American King James Version×
).
That is why God is calling them as the “firstfruits” of His divine family during this age of man: “Of his own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures” (James 1:18 James 1:18Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
American King James Version×
).
Many more will be called to salvation during Christ's millennial reign and just on beyond. A future second resurrection to judgment will occur just after the Millennium (Revelation 20:5 Revelation 20:5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
American King James Version×
, 11-12). For the most part, this future judgment will not be to condemnation or damnation. Other scriptural passages strongly indicate that the majority of all those who have ever lived will be given the opportunity for salvation—and most will gladly accept it.
Read Ezekiel 37:1-14 Ezekiel 37:1-14 1 The hand of the LORD was on me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the middle of the valley which was full of bones, 2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, see, they were very dry. 3 And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, you know. 4 Again he said to me, Prophesy on these bones, and say to them, O you dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. 5 Thus said the Lord GOD to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live: 6 And I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD. 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. 8 And when I beheld, see, the sinews and the flesh came up on them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. 9 Then said he to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus said the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live. 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceeding great army. 11 Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus said the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14 And shall put my spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall you know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, said the LORD.
American King James Version×
, which describes this time. The resurrected Israelites described in this passage think their hope is lost—that they are cut off from God (verse 11). But their Creator will give them hope. They will have their opportunity for salvation, and most will receive the Holy Spirit and be saved (verse 14). Centuries after Ezekiel wrote this prophecy, the apostle Paul firmly stated, “All Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26 Romans 11:26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
American King James Version×
).
This is true judgment—godly evaluation of human existence with righteous discernment and great mercy (see Isaiah 11:3-4 Isaiah 11:3-4 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
American King James Version×
; James 2:13 James 2:13For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.
American King James Version×
). Unlike a human judge of this world, our Judge loves us! He gave His life for us!
As we might expect, there will be a stubborn few who simply will not repent and turn from sin even after God has given them every opportunity. Even then, however, the permanent penalty will not be everlasting punishing in the fires of hell. The Bible teaches that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23 Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
American King James Version×
)—the diametric opposite of life.
After burning up in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14 Revelation 20:14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
American King James Version×
), they will simply cease to exist. This is the second death (Revelation 20:14 Revelation 20:14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
American King James Version×
). You can learn much more by reading our free booklet Heaven and Hell: What Does the Bible Really Teach?

God's magnificent purpose for humanity

The awesome result of our Creator's activities on this earth lies “in bringing many sons to glory”(Hebrews 2:10 Hebrews 2:10For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
American King James Version×
)—the Greek term here includes daughters as well. As the apostle Paul explains in 1 Corinthians 15:22-23 1 Corinthians 15:22-23 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
American King James Version×
, God accomplishes His plan in stages: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order.”
God is enlarging His family in His own way and according to His own timetable. Many assume that today is the only day of salvation and that the ultimate judgment for humanity at large is determined solely by what happens in this life.
The Bible, however, reveals something far different. The first resurrection represents the first fruits of God's salvation. Judgment for them occurs in this life. But a much larger group, representing the greater part of all who have ever lived, will be offered salvation some 1,000 years later. They will go through their judgment period then. For only then, in that great later harvest of mankind, will they receive their opportunity for everlasting life in the Kingdom of God. GN

Vatican validates jihad terror, signs treaty recognizing State of Palestine

A very interesting post from www.jihadwatch.org about Vatican and Palestine. This follows this post about Barack Obama and Muslims. This follows this article about American energy independence and preventing money from going to hostile countries. Vatican validates jihad terror, signs treaty recognizing State of Palestine

FrancisdovesFrancisdovecrowThere is no “State of Palestine” at this time. This is part of the ongoing pressure upon Israel to create one. Creating one will be a great victory for the global jihad force, as a “State of Palestine” will inevitably be a new jihad base for renewed attacks against what remains of Israel. Events will unfold just as they did when the Israelis withdrew from Gaza: while the international media hailed a new era of peace, the “Palestinians” gutted installations and prepared for jihad.
This recognition could end up being as large a blot on the Catholic Church’s record as the Inquisition and the many Catholic clerics all over Europe who went along with the Nazi program against Jews during World War II. The “Palestinians” make no secret on official PA TV of the fact that they share that same genocidal antisemitic bloodlust. This recognition only validates that bloodlust, and enables it.
As this recognition is given, Christians are being persecuted by Islamic jihadists all over the Middle East — Islamic jihadists with the same supremacist ideology as that which motivates the “Palestinians.” In response to this persecution, the bishops of the Catholic Church pursue a “dialogue” with Muslim leaders that makes everyone involved feel good about themselves, but doesn’t do a single thing to alleviate that persecution. And the bishops in the U.S. actively move to silence those who dare speak out about the true nature and magnitude of that persecution, and to prevent them from being heard in Catholic settings. Now, with this recognition, the Church is actively aligning itself with the jihad force, and demonstrating the great lesson of our age, that terrorism works: murder enough people and issue enough genocidal threats, and the whole world will cower at your feet.
The Vatican, by recognizing the genocidal jihad entity that is or will be the “State of Palestine,” is creating a huge moral dilemma for those Catholics who believe that Israel, as being on the front lines of the global jihad, ought to be supported, and that jihad terror, as represented by the “Palestinians” as well as by the persecutors of Christians, ought to be opposed. This is a political decision that has nothing to do with the substance of the faith, but these Church policies are heading the faithful toward a disaster of which they are largely ignorant and for which, thanks to their bishops, they are completely unprepared. Do those who see this disaster coming still have a place in Francis’ progressive, ever-so-modern Catholic Church?
“Vatican signs treaty recognizing State of Palestine,” Times of Israel, June 26, 2015:
The Vatican on Friday signed a historic accord with Palestine, two years after officially recognizing it as a state, in a move criticized by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
The accord, a treaty covering the life and activity of the Church in Palestine, was the first since the Vatican recognized the Palestinian state in February 2013. The step was agreed in principle last month and condemned by Israel as a setback for the peace process.
The Foreign Ministry said Friday in response that it “regrets” the Vatican’s decision to sign the “one-sided” text.
“This hasty step damages the prospects for advancing a peace agreement, and harms the international effort to convince the PA to return to direct negotiations with Israel,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“We also regret the one-sided texts in the agreement which ignore the historic rights of the Jewish people in the Land of Israel and to the places holy to Judaism in Jerusalem. Israel cannot accept the unilateral determinations in the agreement which do not take into account Israel’s essential interests and the special historic status of the Jewish people in Jerusalem,” the statement added.
“The Palestinians continue to act unilaterally which distances us from any chance of holding direct dialogue,” said Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely.
“I regret that the Vatican decided to participate in a step that blatantly ignores the history of the Jewish people in Israel and Jerusalem. Any attempt by the Palestinians, or any other actor to undermine our historic right to Jerusalem and our country will met by staunch opposition by us,” she said.
The treaty makes clear that the Holy See has switched its diplomatic relations from the Palestinian Liberation Organization to the State of Palestine.
The Vatican had welcomed the decision by the UN General Assembly in 2012 to recognize a Palestinian state. But the treaty is the first legal document negotiated between the Holy See and the Palestinian state and constitutes an official recognition.
“Yes, it’s a recognition that the state exists,” said Vatican spokesman the Rev. Federico Lombardi last month.
Israeli officials criticized the Vatican announcement in May.
“We’re disappointed by the decision taken by the Holy See. We believe that such a decision is not conducive to bringing the Palestinians back to the negotiating table,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Emmanuel Nahshon told The Times of Israel at the time.
“Israel will study the agreement and consider its next steps accordingly,” a brief statement from the ministry said.
The text of the treaty deals with essential aspects of the life and activity of the Catholic Church in Palestine, a Vatican statement said in May.
“Both parties agreed that the work of the Commission on the text of the Agreement has been concluded, and that the agreement will be submitted to the respective authorities for approval ahead of setting a date in the near future for the signing,” it noted.
The Vatican has been referring unofficially to the state of Palestine for at least a year.
During Pope Francis’ 2014 visit to the Holy Land, the Vatican’s official program referred to Abbas as the president of the “state of Palestine.” In the Vatican’s latest yearbook, the Palestinian ambassador to the Holy See is listed as representing “Palestine (state of).”
The Vatican’s foreign minister, Monsignor Antoine Camilleri, acknowledged the change in status, given that the treaty was initially inked with the PLO and is now being finalized with the “state of Palestine.” But he said the shift was simply in line with the Holy See’s position.
The Holy See clearly tried to underplay the development, suggesting that its 2012 press statement welcoming the UN vote constituted its first official recognition. Nowhere in that statement does the Vatican say it recognizes the state of Palestine, and the Holy See couldn’t vote for the UN resolution because it doesn’t have voting rights at the General Assembly.
The 2012 UN vote recognized Palestine as a non-member observer state, made up of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, lands Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war.
The Palestinians celebrated the vote as a milestone in their quest for international recognition. Most countries in Africa, Asia and South America have individually recognized Palestine. In Western Europe, Sweden took the step last year, while several parliaments have approved non-binding motions urging recognition….

Editorial: The Supreme Court, Confederate Flag, and Donald Trump

Editorial

In one of the worst weeks in conservative history in the U.S., the Supreme Court unconstitutionally upheld Obamacare exchanges and expanded marriage to same sex couples, both of these in opposition to the TENTH amendment. No Bill of rights - No Constitution. The Tenth amendment was one of the reasons the Constitution was ratified!

The Confederate flag was given to the world by Southern Democrats at the time of the Civil War which was fought, ironically again, for states' rights. In this case the right to seceed, which was not prohibited by the Constitution. (Show me where if it is!). Both Kentucky and Maryland were NORTHERN slave states, so the Civil War was not about slavery. These two states were never under the Confederate flag. Although the outcome of the Civil war did allow the union to be preserved and develop the U.S. into the world superpower!

Finally, the candidacy of Donald Trump has encourage Mexico and their sympathizers to meddle in U.S. politics. After seven years of no immigration enforcement, this candidate has at least SAID that he would do some enforcement. Although that could remain to be seen. Nevertheless, the fact that any enforcement AT ALL is being discussed, means that he, and his positions, are accused of racism. The U.S. is the only country accused of this when immigration is enforced. Well, some European countries, as well as Israel, get this charge also.

Bristol Palin Strikes Back

An interesting story from www.breitbart.com about Bristol Palin. This follows this post about Death Panels. For two very interesting books click HERE.

Bristol Palin Strikes Back: ‘This Pregnancy Was Actually Planned’http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2015/06/28/bristol-palin-strikes-back-this-pregnancy-was-actually-planned/

In response to the chorus of critics who attacked her after she announced she was pregnant, Bristol Palin posted a follow up blog post titled “My Little Blessing,” affirming her strong pro-life beliefs and clarifying some of the misrepresentations being made about her.

Perhaps what is the most shocking is Palin’s statement that, despite what many assumed, this pregnancy was not unplanned.
Palin made headlines back in 2008 when she became pregnant as a teenager while her mother, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, was running for Vice President. When she announced this second pregnancy just a few short weeks after her wedding to U.S. Marine Dakota Meyer was canceled, many assumed that this was an unplanned pregnancy, a “mistake.”
However, wrote Palin, “before you continue to mock me, judge me, and talk about me,” there are several important things she wanted to people to “get straight.”
“None of us are perfect,” she continued, before explaining that the baby had been planned with her former fiance before the relationship ended:
I made a mistake, but it’s not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume.
This pregnancy was actually planned.
Everyone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself. Things didn’t go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on.
But I do not regret this baby. This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two. Tripp is going to make the best big brother!!
The liberal attacks on Palin after she shared her pregnancy news were vicious, including a Gawker post that took the reprehensible position that her announcement “makes a great argument for abortion.”
Palin replied directly to the “ghouls” at Gawker, that she “never even thought about aborting this child, NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE…not happening.”
Regarding critics who called her a hypocrite for her work with the teen pregnancy prevention group The Candies Foundation, Palin wrote that she was not an “abstinence spokeswoman,” but worked for them when she was 18 and 19 years old, to help share her story of the impact being a teenage mother had had on her life.
Palin ends her post reasserting her pro-life beliefs:
I am pregnant. This is not the ideal situation, but life is important even if it’s not in the most absolute ideal circumstance. This is more confirmation on what I’ve always stood for. I’ve always been pro-life and I am standing for life now.
Deal with it.

More Trump Tremors, etc.

An interesting article from www.vdare.com about Spanish Media. This follows this post about Ann Coulter's book. This follows this post about the TPA in the Senate. Remember, “Amnesty” means ANY non-enforcement of existing immigration laws! This follows this comment and this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! Also, you can read two very interesting books HERE.

periodicos[1]What are they saying in the Spanish-language media about U.S. immigration policy and related National Question matters?
It’s a very important question, one almost totally ignored by the Mainstream Media, the professional commentariat and the two major political parties.
But this knowledge is potentially transformative. At least it was for me. In 1991, after I had moved to Mexico, I began reading the Mexican media, in Spanish of course. I learned what they really thought about U.S. immigration, about Mexican emigration to the U.S., and about Mexican-Americans. And it drastically transformed the way I viewed the National Question.
My articles on VDARE.COM have included plenty from Spanish-language sources. Now, I’m beginning a systematic periodic feature, a roundup of topics covered by the Spanish-language media (including the U.S. Spanish-language media). Translations are mine. • Dominican Deportations
VDARE.com Editor Peter Brimelow particularly asked me to look for Mexican reaction to the impending deportation of 200-300,000 (black, French-speaking) Haitians from the (mulatto, Spanish-speaking) Dominican Republic [The Dominican Republic’s mass Haitian deportation reflects its racist history, by Jason Nichols, The Guardian, June 23 2015]. Mexicans have long been blustering that Americans “can’t deport us all,” so the implications are obvious.
Answer: I haven’t seen anything in the Mexican media about the DR/Haitian deportations. I don’t think they’re interested.
  • Still going on about Donald Trump
But they are still interested in Donald Trump. His announcement speech, with its talk of Mexican criminality and putting a wall on the border, really ruffled feathers south of the border.
One Mexican political party, the leftist PRD [Party of the Democratic Revolution] actually began working in the Mexican House of Representatives to get the whole Mexican Congress to censure Trump. [PRD busca que Congreso rechace declaración de Trump, By Maxi Pelaez, Azteca Noticias, June 23, 2015].
MANA[2]The Mexican rock group Maná, which has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide, also took a slam at Trump. The boys in Maná (who are Euro-Mexicans, see right) have meddled, like so many other Mexicans, in U.S. politics before. In 2012, they did a free concert/campaign rally in Nevada with Obama (see here, and here’s their photo with Obama).
Interestingly, the Maná attack on Trump wasn’t delivered from Mexico, but from Los Angeles, preceding their concert in the Staples Center.
Let’s read some gems of wisdom from the group’s lead vocalist and philosopher, Fher Olvera (photos here):
“A person called Donald Trump made very violent declarations against Mexicans and Latin Americans and called them rapists, criminals, drug trafficker, that they were trash…”
Maná arremete contra Trump y defiende dignidad de mexicanos, Excelsior, June 19, 2015

Of course, the members of Maná are rich white Mexicans well insulated from who the criminal sector of their country. Fher went on,
It gives me much sadness because the Mexicans have come to help to construct this country. It is sad that there is someone with such hate in his heart and that has a microphone to say these things….I can’t remember a discourse so violent and so full of hate, since the times of the movies of the Germans and Nazis, an excessive xenophobia.
Fher is not the only philosopher in the group. Mana’s drummer, Alex Gonzalez, had more to say:
“We are very bothered by Trump, because many Latinos are workers in construction that have helped him construct his buildings and it’s forgotten that the people who work hard are the ones who have helped to construct all the United States.
[Trump] shows off that he is a rich man, well, bring him down a few notches, because the richest man in the world is (the Mexican) Carlos Slim.”
Note that a Mexican is bragging that Carlos Slim is richer than Donald Trump. This is one reason nothing is ever done about Slim’s monopolistic strangling of the Mexican economy.
The Miss Universe pageant is partially owned by Donald Trump. Univision, the U.S. Spanish-language network, normally broadcasts the show in Spanish, but in retaliation against Trump’s announcement speech it is not going to. Take that, Donald! gty_olivia_culpo_kb_ss_121220_ssh[1]
However, Univision claims that
Univision News and the local news division will continue to provide comprehensive coverage of all candidates, including Mr. Trump, to ensure our audience continues to have access to all points of view.
Trump Dumped! Univision Drops Miss USA Pageant Over Mexican Immigrant Remarks Tony Maglio, The Wrap, June 25, 2015
(Trump has responded with a fierce letter, barring Univision employees from his properties—Donald Trump’s war with Univision gets nasty, by Tom Kludt and Mark Mooney, CNN Money, June 26, 2015).
Meanwhile Lupita Jones, director of Miss Universe Mexico and a former Miss Universe herself, felt hurt by Trump’s announcement speech, and says she is considering the withdrawal of Mexico from the Miss Universe pageant. Por culpa de Trump: ¿Lupita Jones quitará mexicanas de Miss Universo?, La Opinion, June 22, 2015
Supposedly she’s worried about “respect for the girls”—ludicrous as I’ve heard no reports of Mexican beauty queens being mistreated in a Miss Universe pageant. But there was a notorious incident in 2007 in Mexico when the audience booed Miss U.S.A.
In contrast, Mexican Jimena (also spelled Ximena) Navarrete, who won the Miss Universe title in 2010, actually had some reasonable things to say:
“I don’t like to get involved in political topics. Mr. Trump is a 11418898_759539727492240_1860860167_n[1]person who has treated me very well. I continue to work with him, even today I still have a contract signed with him. He has treated me very well, and I’m not going to speak badly of someone who has treated me well…. I try to do my best in Miss Universe, I am on excellent terms with Mr. Donald Trump.
I am Mexican and proud of being Mexican and i am a punctual, honest, hard-working woman that does the best that I can do. I understand both sides and I’m always going to defend the people of Mexico. I’m from here, I respect and love what we are.
¡ESCÁNDALO! XIMENA NAVARRETE DEFIENDE A DONALD TRUMP, Televisa Espectáculos, June 22, 2015
Later, Miss Navarrete had some more comments to share on her Instagram:
I did not take Mr. Trump’s declarations personally nor do I let them affect me…For all those who expect me to offend or insult Mr. Trump I can affirm to you that violence generates more violence. Attacking him will not change the facts nor resolve the situation that we live in Mexico.
As Mexicans, instead of so much useless complaining aim to be better each day. ….
Ximena Navarrete defiende a Donald Trump y Lupita Jones lo cuestiona, La Opinion, June 23, 2015
Oh, and the same article (in La Opinión, published in the U.S.) reports that Lupita Jones decided to, after all, send this year’s Miss Mexico to the Miss Universe pageant! 15763[1]
Down in Venezuela, President Nicolas Maduro, the successor of the infamous Hugo Chavez, has twice claimed that Chavez communicated to him in the form of a little bird. [ Is Nicolás Maduro Losing It? Venezuelan President Insists A ‘Little Bird’ Told Him Hugo Chávez Is Happy, By Oscar Lopez, Latin Times, July 29 2014]
Maduro cheeped from Caracas that
I totally repudiate the declarations of Donald Trump. Bandit, thief, how are you going to mess with our brothers in Mexico that are so persecuted and exploited by you all…whoever messes with Mexico messes with Venezuela. Whoever messes with Mexicans messes with the Venezuelans.
We have been warned.
  • ANOTHER Mexican moan: Not enough get Asylum in the U.S.
Mexico’s paper of record, el Universal, reports that according to the UN Mexico reached the #1 position in the requests for asylum in the U.S. this past year, with 14,000, edging out China and El Salvador [Mexicanos, primer lugar en peticiones de asilo en EU: ONU, Natalia Gomez Quintero, el Universal, June 20, 2015]
That same day El Universal ran an editorial moaning that not enough Mexicans are being granted asylum (124 out of 14,000). It was entitled El Otro Muro de Estados Unidos, “The Other Wall of the United States”, implying that we have one already! It ended:
…the United States has to get rid of its prejudices and realize that today it’s easier to go to that country crossing the border illegally than to cross the bureaucratic wall imposed only upon Mexicans.
This is typical. Asylum procedures are not “imposed only on Mexicans” and anyway there are millions of Mexicans illegally in the U.S. and an extremely low deportation rate. Moral: nothing will satisfy the Mexican moaners.
  • Dual nationality
The U.S.-published, Argentine-owned, La Opinión, the largest Spanish-language paper here, just ran an informative article Hijos de inmigrantes en EEUU: el beneficio de la “doble nacionalidad [by Isaías Alvarado, June 17, 2015].
That means “Children of immigrants in the United States: The benefit of the “double nationality”. The subtitle: “Young people born in the United States to Mexican parents enjoy the benefits of both countries.”
I’ve been writing about the dual citizenship problem for years, but almost nobody in the Mains Stream Media or the political world wants to know.
Millions of American citizens who are now citizens of other countries. It’s a ticking time bomb.
In 1997, Mexico changed its own nationality law specifically to enable Mexican citizens to become American citizens while retaining their Mexican citizenship, and in various ways, to advance the cause of Mexico north of the border.
According to Mexico law, any child born to a Mexican abroad is considered a Mexican and any Mexican-born Mexican taking the American oath of naturalization is still considered a Mexican.
One advantage of this, Opinión’s Alvarado points out, is that dual citizens can compete for Mexico at international sports events “something that is more complicated by the high selective level of the United States”.
Or they can play on a Mexican soccer team without having to compete for a “foreign position” (there are limits on how many non-Mexicans can play on a Mexican soccer team).
Four years ago, eight Mexican-American players from Commerce, California played on the Mexican water polo team. The whole Mexican team wound up doing their training together in Commerce, not in Mexico!
Said Carlos Sada, Mexican Consul General in Los Angeles, of whom I’ve written before here: “The benefits are multiple and they don’t affect anything, because the American citizenship is not lost.”
La Opinión even provides a telephone number that Mexican-Americans can call to contact the LA Mexican consulate and claim Mexican nationality.
And that, my friends, is the “America” of 2015.
