Gender Blurring in Pagan Worship

Ishtar was the prototype for the Greek Aphrodite and Roman Venus and a host of other deities—and was identified with the planet Venus as the morning and evening star. The Bible equates the worship of pagan deities with the worship of demons (Deuteronomy 32:16-17; Psalms 106:35-38; 1 Corinthians 10:20). And it’s intriguing to see that Scripture refers to Satan in his rebellion as Lucifer, the morning star (Isaiah 14:12). The devil is the real personage behind the false deity.

Dividing The Coalition Of The Fringes: Why the Establishment Is So Berserk Over Trump Talking Sense on Immigration

From my new column in Taki’s Magazine:
The Orlando Latino gay slaughter is a nightmare for the establishment because Florida is a purple state with 29 electoral votes. And while the mainstream efforts to elicit Hispanic racialism haven’t gotten all that far outside of La Raza circles, gays have become a popular sacralized group. Trump’s alt-center offer to defend gays from Muslims is part of his clever divide-and-rule strategy aimed at the obvious (but henceforth unspeakable) divisions among the Obama Coalition.
As I’ve been pointing out for years, the Democrats’ coalition of the fringes has been held together only by the KKKrazy Glue of egging on paranoid fantasies against straight white men.
But the GOP upstart is asking gays: Who is more likely to be on your side: Donald Trump or Omar Mateen?
Personally, I’ve been to Trump Tower, and I’d guess that the GOP candidate employed more than a few gay men to decorate it.
Read the whole thing there.

The American Military: A Testing Ground for Social Change for Feminism, Homosexuality, and Political Correctness!

An interesting article from http://www.ucg.org/ about feminism in the military. This follows this post about child sacrifice. This follows this post about mob attacks. For a free magazine subscription or to get the books recommended for free click HERE! or call 1-888-886- 8632.

Reportedly, many women soldiers during the Desert Storm operation had to be flown back to the United States for reasons of pregnancy, medical issues or lapses in discipline (even including prostitution). But it should also be said that the presence of women has occasioned sexual assaults by male soldiers.
One company commander in operation Desert Storm reported of his unit: “Nearly every female except two did not come close to finishing their tour of duty: Some got pregnant, some got mental issues; some had family problems at home they couldn't cope with.” During combat tours in which a substantial minority of the soldiers were women, some of these tours simply could not complete their prescribed missions.
Major General Patrick Brady, U.S. Army (retired), analyzed the negative impact of assigning women to combat units, tested on the ground during Desert Storm. He describes, from a commander's standpoint, what this will mean to morale and military readiness in the armed forces, stating: “[Today] we see a military with dismal leadership resulting in unprecedented rates of suicide, PTSD [Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder] and security breaches …
“Unimaginable in our past, we have leaders who consider awarding medals for not shooting … [Concerning women] here is what I found … In administrative jobs, they were at least equal to men. But most could not carry their load physically—loading litters in choppers [helicopters], carrying wounded to safety, even lifting tool chests. As a result the men covered for them, often causing us to use two people when one should have done the job—all of which affected readiness … My conclusion, which I passed to my division commander, at his request, was that I would not want females with me working the battlefield let alone in direct combat …
“I have said, and many men agree with me, that Adam's rib was the greatest investment in human history. Why? Because God then gave man woman, a different creature, who complemented him. God did it on purpose, and we are privileged to live with the differences. Feminists et al. get over it. It is not discrimination to accommodate God's design; it is acknowledging His will—it is wisdom” (“Women in Foxholes,” WND.com, Feb. 18, 2013).
Thankfully, this military man believes in creation, not atheistic evolution. You may wish to our free Bible study aid booklet Creation or Evolution: Does It Really Matter What You Believe? Those who truly believe in the creation account generally accept the authority of the Bible. And many modern social changes are simply unacceptable from the standpoint of the Scriptures.

What does it mean to "judge," and why does the Bible say to "judge not"?

An interesting article from http://www.ucg.org/ about godly judgement. This follows this post about ending slavery. This follows this post about Facebook and Transgendered people. For a free magazine subscription or to get the books recommended for free click HERE! or call 1-888-886- 8632.

Jesus Christ said in His Sermon on the Mount: “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you” (Matthew 7:1-2). Therefore, many assume that it is wrong to pass judgment of any sort, and that all people should be allowed to do whatever they feel is right.
Strong's Concordance notes that the word translated “judge” in Matthew 7:1 can also mean “condemn.” What Christ was saying was that, as we are incapable of seeing a person's heart or knowing his or her relationship with God, we are not to take the place of God in making judgments about someone's motives or eternal salvation. And we should be humble, knowing our own weaknesses and sins.
However, in other sections of the Bible, Christ says very clearly, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34) and “a tree is known by its fruits” (Matthew 12:33). While we cannot see hearts, we can see—and judge—actions. There are times God calls on us to discern others' actions because of their effects on us. For example, the Bible tells us to avoid angry people and those whose sins may rub off on us (Proverbs 22:24; 1 Corinthians 5:11-12). Hebrews 5:14 tells us that the spiritually mature are “those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
We are not to judge where a person stands with God, because we are simply incapable of doing so. But we must be able to “discern both good and evil” in the actions of ourselves as well as others in order to grow in wisdom and avoid falling into problems ourselves.

No Laughing Matter: Samantha Bee Show Pranks Kids, Tells Them They Were Almost Aborted

An interesting story from www.lifenews.com about Samantha Bee. This follows this post about Christians getting abortions! For two very interesting books click HERE.
Please follow me here.

Samantha Bee isn’t just pushing for abortion on her Full Frontal show. She and husband Jason Jones are shoving the issue into the broader entertainment world now too.
During the latest episode, The Road, the parents, Nate and Robin, revealed to their kids that they were lucky to be alive today.
The story began with a flashback where Robin (Natalie Zea) held a positive pregnancy test while sitting on the toilet.
Click here to sign up for pro-life news alerts from LifeNews.com
“We don’t have to decide right now,” she calmed Nate (Jason Jones). “We’ll weigh the options and I will make the decision.”
Another flashback showed a technician giving Robin an ultrasound. As Nate and Robin watched the ultrasound on a screen revealing twins, Nate and Robin argued back and forth about whether or not to go through with the pregnancy.
Back in present time, their daughter Delilah (Ashley Gerasimovich) interrupted, “I’m really confused right now. You’re pregnant. So what was there to decide?”
Robin searched for a euphemistic term to describe abortion.
“Well, I had to make a choice,” she began. “I had to make a choice, uh… about whether or not I was gonna keep you?”
Confused, the kids asked, “You were thinking about giving us up for adoption? Well, who was gonna be our mom and dad?”
Robin finally found a way to describe abortion: a “trip to Europe.”
“I had to, uh, make a choice a-about whether or not I wanted to take a-a trip to the… um, Europe,” she responded.
She then went into a monologue about the “right to choose”:
“See, the – they’re a lot of women, who, um, find themselves in a position where they feel like they have to choose between being a mom and going to Europe, and – and it’s a – it’s a very, very serious decision and one that should never be taken lightly. And make no mistake, every woman deserves the right to choose… Europe, if she so desires.”
“But just know this,” she admitted, “Every time I look at you, I am so thankful that I decided to stay in Syracuse.”
The story ended with Robin confessing that she had gone to Europe (aka received an abortion) before her pregnancy with the twins.
“Just once,” she said. “Last year of high school.”
The abortion agenda is a favorite of Samantha Bee. Earlier this month, her Full Frontal show called pro-lifers “assholes” and “dickheads.”

Editorial: Bathroom Laws as a Distraction? Or as more of the Same?

Editorial

The bathroom law issue is the latest one that the President is using to distract from his non-enforcement of immigration laws, as well as flooding the U.S. with Syrian, and now Cuban, refugees and Unaccompanied Minors.

Who would have thought Eight Years Ago that these bathroom laws would be imposed! Even the Liberal state of  California had implemented Proposition 8 defining marriage as between a man and a woman! http://www.alipac.us/f8/pac-plans-defeat-key-politicians-responsible-illegal-immigration-332295/

Of course this is all "Executive Orders." This includes immigration such as DACA and others, and now this Bathroom law!

Unfortunately, the current GOP leadership recoils from the word "IMPEACHMENT" like a vampire from the sunlight, yet they have the Audacity to say Mr. Trump is not conservative!!!!

Shocking Report Shows 54% of Women Getting Abortions are Christians!!!

An interesting story from www.lifenews.com about Christians getting abortions! This follows this post about the show "Scandal." For two very interesting books click HERE.
Please follow me here.

An extensive new U.S. study revealed that 54 percent of women who have abortions identify as Christians.
The Guttmacher Institute released a new report this week that examines the demographics of women who had abortions between 2008 and 2014 in the U.S. Among the more hopeful signs, the report found that fewer teens are having abortions than in past decades. However, the data also indicated that racial minorities continue to be targeted by the abortion industry.
The report also looked at women’s religious affiliations. Though the number of women who identify as Christians is high, it is lower than past decades, according to the report.
According to the research:
The majority of abortion patients indicated a religious affiliation: Seventeen percent identified as mainline Protestant, 13% as evangelical Protestant and 24% as Roman Catholic, while 8% identified with some other religion. Thirty-eight percent of patients did not identify with any religion. The proportion of women who identified as mainline Protestant declined by 24% since 2008, whereas the proportion with no affiliation increased by 38%. The proportion identifying as Catholic decreased by 15% from the earlier survey, though this change was only marginally significant.

The abortion index for Catholic women showed that their relative abortion rate was nearly the same as that for all women (1.1). Mainline Protestants were slightly underrepresented among abortion patients (0.8), while evangelical Protestants had an abortion rate that was half of the national average. Patients with no affiliation were overrepresented among abortion patients, having a relative abortion rate of 1.8. The abortion index had declined slightly for mainline Protestants, and had increased slightly for those with no affiliation.
Past research has found similar results. A 2015 report from LifeWay research found that more than 4 in 10 women who had abortions were churchgoers when they ended their unborn child’s life, LifeNews reported.
Among women who have had an abortion, according to the study:
  • Two-thirds (65 percent) say church members judge single women who are pregnant.
  • A majority (54 percent) thinks churches oversimplify decisions about pregnancy options.
  • Fewer than half (41 percent) believe churches are prepared to help with decisions about unwanted pregnancies.
  • Only 3 in 10 think churches give accurate advice about pregnancy options.
A strong majority of the post-abortive women who were surveyed identified as Christians, with 43 percent saying they had attended church monthly or even more often at the time of their abortion, according to the study. The LifeWay study did not indicate when these women had abortions.
Scott McConnell, vice president of LifeWay Research, previously told the Baptist Press that the data shows a huge opportunity for churches to reach out to pregnant and post-abortive women.
“Women are perceiving judgment from the church, and that’s probably partly because there are clear teachings in the Bible including about how and why we make judgments,” McConnell said. “However, if they don’t start experiencing something different than what they’ve seen in the past, these numbers aren’t going to change.”
The Guttmacher data indicates that a change may be occurring. Fewer Christian women and teens are having abortions, likely a result of an expanding emphasis on compassionate, caring pro-life outreach. Christian-based programs like 40 Days for Life and the thousands of pregnancy resource centers across the U.S. are reaching more women every year with resources, encouragement and hope for themselves and their unborn babies.
Roland C. Warren, president and CEO of Care Net, one of the largest pregnancy resource networks in North America, previously said he is hopeful that Christians are reaching more unborn babies and their moms.
“While much work needs to be done to equip the church to help women and men with their pregnancy decisions, there are positive signs that many churches will be receptive to efforts to implement programming that addresses this need,” Warren said.

Dialoguing About Gender Identity

Dialoguing About Gender Identity

gender-issuesThere’s been a lot of buzz about gender identity recently, and young people are taking note. The question is… what are they resolving as true?
I stumbled on two very helpful resources in the past few weeks that provide really good information and provoke meaningful conversation. One is a video that simply makes you stop and think logically for a moment. The other is an extremely insightful statement to educators and legislators published by The American College of Pediatricians that looks at gender ideology medically and scientifically.
I’ll highlight each resource below, and then provide discussion questions you can use to dialogue with young people about these resources.
I preface this post by saying—this is an incredibly difficult subject to even talk about today. It’s tender for me, because someone I deeply care about is experiencing these feelings right now. And many of you know and have experienced, if you voice any disagreement about the transgender movement… you are often deemed “a hater.” Because of this many people avoid the conversation. Meanwhile, loud voices are shouting, “Everything is okay.” “Go with what feels right.” So I urge you to approach this subject prayerfully and cautiously. If you are a believer in Jesus and the Bible, like I am, then remember a foundational truth of our theology: we are all sinners and we all need Jesus. And the more time we spend time reading the Gospels and studying Jesus, the more we’ll notice two things out of him: 1. He had incredible compassion and grace for sinners. 2. At the same time he wasn’t afraid to tell the truth. He never bent his theology to get out of a sticky situation. So pray for that balance. Approach the subject in love and as someone who doesn’t have all the answers. Talk more about what you are for, instead of “clanging” about what you are against. And remember, the person you are sitting with might be experiencing these feelings. Pray you can be a source of grace and truth to that person, remembering you probably won’t have the opportunity to share truth if you don’t demonstrate grace.
College Kids Say the Darndest Things: On IdentityThe first resource I encountered was an eye-opening video from The Family Policy Institute of Washington (thanks Walt Mueller for blogging about this). I didn’t know where the interviewer was going with this at first… but stick with it. Very thought provoking.
I love his approach. No lecturing, just good questions and a lot of listening.
Questions To Discuss:
  1. What stuck out to you the most from that video? (This question will allow you to take the temperature of the people sitting in front of you.)
  2. Why is it hard for these college students to tell a 5’9” white guy that he is NOT a 6’5” Chinese woman?
  3. What is the difference between being born a male and being born Chinese?
  4. What did you think of the statement you heard: “If you feel 7 at heart, then good for you”?
  5. Why did people seem to specifically have difficulty with him saying he was taller than he was?
  6. He asked a girl why she would question that he was 6’5” tall, and she responded, “Because you’re not.” How come we can say that about someone’s height, but not their gender?
  7. If someone feels like they are 6 feet 5 inches tall, are they?
  8. Can feelings be wrong? Explain.
  9. So what is our “plumb line” or standard for truth?
NOTE: Emphasize that the point of this is NOT to question people about their gender, but instead, to consider our own thinking and reasoning as we evaluate truth.
Gender Ideology Harms ChildrenThe second resource was an intriguing article from several esteemed doctors, like the President and Vice President of the American College of Pediatricians, and the professor of psychology and former chief psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins Hospital. I can’t begin to articulate as well as this article does, so I encourage you to read the article word for word. Truly fascinating! But here’s the gist:
The article is titled: Gender Ideology Harms Children
The statement not only clarifies misconceptions about a third sex, but it also illuminates that… and I quote… “a person’s belief that he or she is something they are not is, at best, a sign of confused thinking.” In fact, Gender Dysphoria is a recognized mental disorder by the American Psychological Association. Since this is a psychological problem that exists in the mind, not the body, it would actually be “abusive” to recommend puberty-blocking hormones.
Why do they discourage chemical or surgical changes until after adolescence?
  • Because the overwhelming majority (70% to 98% of males, 50% to 88% of females) eventually accept their biological sex after naturally passing through puberty. In other words, it’s a psychological condition that will pass when their brain is done developing (which for males, can be in the mid-twenties).
  • Because puberty blockers are dangerous (cause infertility, stunted growth, low bone density, and an unknown impact on brain development), and then cross-sex hormones will be required in late adolescence and those have dangerous health risks as well (high blood pressure, blood clots, stroke, cancer).
  • Rates of suicide are documented up to twenty times greater among adults who use cross-sex hormones and undergo sex reassignment surgery, even in Sweden, which is among the most LGBQT-affirming countries (which squashes the argument that the high suicide rate is simply because they are bullied and oppressed).
The authors go on to say, “Conditioning children into believing that a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse.”
The statement concludes with this bold proclamation about those who encourage GD children to impersonate the opposite sex and take puberty blocking hormones:
Never has it been more scientifically clear that children and adolescents are incapable of making informed decisions regarding permanent, irreversible and life-altering medical interventions. For this reason, the College maintains it is abusive to promote this ideology, first and foremost for the well-being of the gender dysphoric children themselves, and secondly, for all of their non-gender-discordant peers, many of whom will subsequently question their own gender identity, and face violations of their right to bodily privacy and safety. (emphasis mine)
Paul McHugh, the author from Johns Hopkins, had written another article on the subject back in 2014, Transgender Surgery Isn’t the Solution, sharing how Johns Hopkins, the first American medical center to venture into “sex-reassignment surgery,” actually stopped doing the surgery because the patients were just as troubled after the surgery.
He wraps up that article with the following:
At the heart of the problem is confusion over the nature of the transgendered. “Sex change” is biologically impossible. People who undergo sex-reassignment surgery do not change from men to women or vice versa. Rather, they become feminized men or masculinized women. Claiming that this is a civil-rights matter and encouraging surgical intervention is in reality to collaborate with and promote a mental disorder.
Questions To Discuss:
  1. What stuck out to you in these articles?
  2. Why do these doctors, the American Psychological Association, and others call Gender Dysphoria a “disorder”?
  3. Why do you think the majority of young people eventually grow out of this thinking (that they might want to be the opposite sex)?
  4. Why do you think these doctors, Johns Hopkins Hospital and so many others think it’s “abusive” to recommend permanent chemical and surgical treatment until after adolescence?
  5. Why do you think the rate of suicide is twenty times greater for this group?
  6. How can we show love to someone who is experiencing Gender Dysphoria?
I hope these resources provide an avenue for discussion. Today’s Christians need to be on the lookout for opportunities to engage in pleasant, soft spoken, meaningful dialogue (not monologue), where we get a chance to listen to the needs of others and share a little truth.

Facebook Expands to 50 Gender Options, Where Will This Lead?

An interesting article from http://www.ucg.org/ about Facebook and Transgendered people. This follows this previous post about Transgendered people. This follows this post about pain and related addictions. For a free magazine subscription or to get the books recommended for free click HERE! or call 1-888-886- 8632.

Facebook officials have announced that it is expanding its gender description options to 50 different choices after consulting with a group of leading lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy organizations.
This represents a major new development in the ongoing controversy regarding the cultural ramifications of what in the past was considered deviant sexuality. But it is only a beginnng. It will likely cause a ripple effect into many other areas of life—job applications, loan papers, sports, legislation, court cases to name a few.
Will applications need to replace the simple M/F choice to “see attached schedule?” What about public restrooms? Obviously, it won't be possible to expand to 50 different restrooms. So we are likely to see the traditional male or female restrooms with unisex restrooms, a trend that has already begun and may be legally mandated.
What about dressing rooms at swimming pools, schools and professional sports? How will parents feel about having their daughters in dressing rooms and showers where they know others are present who are sexually attracted to females despite their female anatomy? Or will at some point will the fact that sexuality is being redefined by sexual preference mean that children and adults will share the same dressing room and shower with the anatomy of the opposite sex? Are we really ready for that?
The question of how professional athletes will deal with these dilemmas is already on the radar with the public announcement from draft prospect Michael Sam that he is gay, which has been the main topic of sports talk shows. Everyone is careful to be political correct in their comments lest they be branded as homophobic and lose their job or be suspended from their team. It remains to be seen how this will go when the season begins.
This is only the tip of the iceberg of an ongoing trend that is leading us into uncharted waters. Sexual diversity is nothing new. It has been around for a long time. The “don't ask, don't tell” approach resulted in a “what they don't know won't hurt them” situation regarding the reactions of others with whom transgender individuals came in contact. But the growing trend of such individuals “coming out of the closet” seeking full acceptance and approval has posed a relatively new challenge in our culture.
The Bible clearly reveals that God created humankind male and female (Genesis 1:27). Since that time heredity and/or environment has created a virtual “Heinz variety” of sexual identities. Where it will lead, God only knows. Many, especially in older generations are asking, “What is this world coming to?”
