World News and Trends: Rape crisis in South Africa

Printer-friendly version

Reports from Johannesburg say a woman is raped every 17 to 28 seconds in South Africa. According to Interpol, these statistics make South Africa the rape capital of the world.

Said Time magazine: "In 1998 the official South African rate was 104.1 rapes per 100,000 people; in the U.S., the rate was 34.4 per 100,000." However, rape researchers say only one in 35 rapes in South Africa is reported, which if accurate renders the situation far more critical than the official figures indicate.
David Jones, reporting from Johannesburg, closes his Daily Mail feature article with good advice for the government: "For the sake of every South African woman—whatever her colour—the leaders of this nation, in many ways so potent with promise, must address their growing humanitarian scandal with considerable urgency."
The Bible takes an even more serious view. "... For just as when a man rises against his neighbor and kills him, even so is this matter" (Deuteronomy 22:26). The context makes it clear that the subject under discussion is rape (verses 25, 27). To God, rape is as serious a crime as murder because it destroys something that can never be replaced. Nelson Mandela Said WHAT?!

By Debbie Schlussel
If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don’t care for human beings.
If you look at those matters, you will come to the conclusion that the attitude of the United States of America is a threat to world peace.
–Nelson Mandela

mandelaarafat15

I already told you what a scumbag, anti-White racist, Islamic terrorist lovin’, Jew-hating creature Nelson Mandela was. But to further your education, for all the ignorami gushing over Nelson Mandela–including President George W. Bush (stick with painting, dude), Senator Ted Cruz, Sean Hannity, and his coming replacement Michael Savage (who, last night, called Mandela a “peacemaker” on his nationally syndicated radio show)–apparently they simply cannot do the tiniest bit of homework, which includes checking out this famous quote from Mandela about America (the country without which he’d never have been freed)–yes it bears repeating:
“If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don’t care for human beings.”
And here are some other Mandela “gems”:

* There is no doubt that the United States now feels that they are the only superpower in the world and they can do what they like.
* We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians.
That one’s interesting since Mandela said this against Israel, but the Palestinians–the few of them who are citizens of Israel–are actually more free under Israel than any other country. They do not have freedom in Gaza, the Palestinian Authority, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Kuwait, and everywhere else where they live in significant numbers.
* If the United States of America or Britain is having elections, they don’t ask for observers from Africa or from Asia. But when we have elections, they want observers.
Hmmm . . . gee, I wonder why they need “observers” for South African elections. I mean, nothing is ever stolen in that country based on race, right? Like nationalized White farmland and so on.
And here’s a tip: we do want observers at certain election polling places in America because voters are harassed and violently threatened by Mandela’s fans in the New Black Panther Party here. Sadly, Mandela’s superfan, Barack Hussein Obama, refuses to prosecute them.

Editorial: Mandela coverage bias

Editorial

Nelson Mandela did change the world, but there has been an extreme bias in the coverage of his history. Specifically, the anti-white murder and rape crime rates have gone up in South Africa since he became president and the crime rate among black South Africans has also gone up.

Unfortunately, Nelson Mandela Signed Law Legalizing Unlimited Abortions The world is paying its respects to civil rights leader and former South African president Nelson Mandela today, after learning that he passed away at the age of 95. While most people respect the civil rights and racial reconciliation work he did, some have questioned where Mandela stood on abortion.
Unfortunately, Mandela signed into law a bill legalizing abortion on demand.

Genocidal Racist Nelson Mandela Dead at 95; He Founded Racial Socialist “Democracy” in South Africa, and Inspired Blacks to Murder Whites by the Thousands; His Favorite Phrase was, “Kill the Boer (White)!”

By Nicholas Stix

Nelson Mandela’s legacy is the thousands of South African whites who have been slaughtered since the end of white-run apartheid in ‘south Africa, and its replacement by black-run racial socialism in 1994.

The phrase repeated by pro-white activists is “Close to 70 000 white South Africans have been murdered in racially motivated hate crimes…”

I have no idea how accurate that number is. No one is sure about the immensity of murder in general in South Africa. It used to be ranked as the world’s murder capital, so the government stopped even trying to keep accurate numbers. (Hmmm. That sounds familiar.)

Mandela died of old age, but that’s not the way the MSM and Mandela’s black supremacist comrades and idolators are telling it. According to them, even at 95 years of age, Mandela was still a victim of the white man.

Nelson Mandela, South Africa's beloved first black president and anti-apartheid hero, has died after suffering recurring lung infections that were the legacy of tuberculosis contracted in prison during his long fight against oppression, President Jacob Zuma said in a televised address late Thursday. He was 95.
Apparently, if not for the white man, Mandela would have lived forever! Where can I get me some of that white man’s oppression?!

After stepping down from the presidency in 1999, Mandela, or “Madiba” as he was affectionately known, Madiba being the name of his murderous clan, spent his dotage exhorting young blacks to murder ever more whites.

Old Nelson Mandela leads his young Xhosa admirers in a hearty rendition of a Xhosa song about killing whites.

“We, the members of Mkhonto, have pledged ourselves to kill them—the “ama bhulu” (whites).

Mandela’s Western apologists insist that the phrase “ama bhulu” means “Boers,” rather than “whites,” a distinction utterly lost on Mandela and his young Xhosa admirers. If such sophistry were true, why would Mandela need to play such different tunes, depending on his audience of the moment, speaking of racial “reconciliation” in English before white audiences, and racial murder before blacks in Xhosa?

Funny, that method reminds me of another terrorist leader.

The Mkhonto was (is?) a terrorist unit that Mandela founded before he was imprisoned by the evil, white apartheid regime, and that would murder whites, er, “Boers,” through bombings and such, on Mandela’s orders.

In the wake of Mandela’s death, whites are in more danger than ever, both in terms of a Kristallnacht-style celebration in the short term, and a full-scale holocaust, in the long-term.

For a white to grieve over Mandela’s death, is like a Jew grieving for Hitler.

Nelson Mandela's life and legacy

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa--Nelson Mandela, South Africa's beloved first black president and anti-apartheid hero, has died after suffering recurring lung infections that were the legacy of tuberculosis contracted in prison during his long fight against oppression, President Jacob Zuma said in a televised address late Thursday. He was 95.
Although out of the limelight in recent years because of the infirmities of age, Mandela, or Madiba, the clan name by which he was affectionately known to many South Africans, remained a revered symbol of the fight he led against the nation's apartheid regime.
Mandela was admitted to a Pretoria hospital in June for the fifth time in two years. Although he was sent home three months later, family members said he had been living in a sterilized bedroom rigged as an intensive care unit with doctors tending to him around the clock.

PHOTOS: Nelson Mandela through the years

Even on what his daughter, Makaziwe, termed his "deathbed," Mandela remained an inspiration.
"He is teaching us lessons; lessons in patience, in love, lessons of tolerance," she told the state-owned television network SABC this week.
Mandela was born July 18, 1918, the son of a tribal chief. He was named Rolihlahla, or "troublemaker" in his Xhosa language. A teacher gave him the name Nelson on his first day of school, but South Africans called him Madiba throughout his life in a sign of affection and respect for his clan.

PHOTOS: Notable deaths of 2013

Mandela had a history of respiratory illness after contracting tuberculosis in 1988 during his 27-year imprisonment for his activities as a member of the then-banned African National Congress liberation movement.
After his 1990 release, he reached out to a frightened white minority and helped guide tense constitutional talks and political reforms. He became president after the 1994 election, succeeding the man who orchestrated his release, President Frederik W. de Klerk, a year after the two men shared the Nobel Peace Prize for shepherding South Africa out of four decades of racial segregation and repression.
Under Mandela's rule, the economy grew, a constitution guaranteeing equality and press freedom took root, and a Truth and Reconciliation Commission shed light on the dark deeds of apartheid. It granted amnesty to both whites and blacks accused of political violence.

[Under Mandela's rule, the economy collapsed, and South Africa went from being a first-world economy and net exporter of grain, to a failed state and a net importer of grain.]

TIMELINE: The life of Nelson Mandela
During his five years as president, Mandela’s courtly demeanor and commitment to consensus governance set him apart on a continent trying to move away from an era of dictatorship and corruption. His decision in 1999 not to seek another presidential term was a move almost unheard of among African leaders. The ANC held on to the presidency in subsequent elections.
Mandela remained on the world stage as an activist in the fight against AIDS, having lost a son to the disease in 2005. He also traveled widely in support of human rights and efforts to fight poverty. He spoke out forcefully against the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, accusing President George W. Bush of trying to "plunge the world into a holocaust."
Mandela formally retired from politics almost a decade ago and lived most of the time since in his ancestral village of Qunu in Eastern Cape province, until illness forced him to take up residence closer to medical facilities near Johannesburg.
His last major public appearance was in 2010, when South Africa hosted the World Cup soccer championship.

Is Boko Haram More Dangerous Than Ever?

A very interesting post from www.Stratfor.com about Boko Haram in Nigeria. Is Boko Haram More Dangerous Than Ever?

Stratfor

By Scott Stewart

Vice President of Analysis

On Nov. 25, Boko Haram, an Islamist militant group from northern Nigeria, attacked a church in Jaji, Kaduna state, using two suicide bombers during the church's weekly religious service. The first bomb detonated in a vehicle driven into the church, and the second detonated approximately 10 minutes later, when a crowd of first responders gathered at the scene. About 30 people were killed in the attacks; the second blast caused the majority of the deaths. The incident was particularly symbolic because Jaji is the home of Nigeria's Armed Forces Command and Staff College, and many of the churchgoers were senior military officers.

In the wake of the Jaji attacks, media reports quoted human rights groups saying that Boko Haram has killed more people in 2012 than ever before. The group has killed roughly 770 people this year, leading many to conclude that Boko Haram has become more dangerous.

However, it is important to look beyond the sheer number of fatalities when drawing such conclusions about a group like Boko Haram. Indeed, a less cursory look at the group reveals that while 2012 has been a particularly deadly year, the Nigerian government has curtailed the group's capabilities. In terms of operational planning, the group has been limited to simple attacks against soft targets in or near its core territory. In other words, Boko Haram remains deadly, but it is actually less capable than it used to be, relegating the group to a limited, regional threat unless this dynamic is somehow altered.

Boko Haram's Rise

Boko Haram, Hausa for "Western Education is Sinful," was established in 2002 in Maiduguri, the capital of Nigeria's Borno state. It has since spread to several other northern and central Nigerian states. Its official name is Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'awati wal-Jihad, Arabic for "Group Committed to Propagating the Prophet's Teachings and Jihad." While Boko Haram is a relatively new phenomenon, Nigeria has struggled with militant Islamism for decades. For example, the Maitatsine sect, led by Mohammed Marwa, fomented violence in the early 1980s in the very same cities that Boko Haram is presently active.

Initially, Boko Haram incited sectarian violence and attacked Christians with clubs, machetes and small arms. But by 2010, the group had added Molotov cocktails and simple improvised explosive devices to its arsenal. In 2011, Boko Haram made a major operational leap when it unexpectedly began to use large suicide vehicle bombs. They were used first in the botched attack against the national police headquarters in Abuja in June 2011, and they were later used in the more successful attack against a U.N. compound in Abuja in August 2011.

The leap from simple attacks in Boko Haram's core areas to sophisticated attacks using large vehicle bombs in the nation's capital skipped several steps in the normal progression of militant operations. The group's progression suggested that it had received outside training or assistance. The sudden increase in operational capacity appeared to have corroborated reports circulating at that time of Boko Haram militants attending training camps run by al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.

This rapid progression, which came in the wake of a Nigerian operative being involved in al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's plot to bomb a Detroit-bound airliner, led to a concern that Boko Haram had the capability and the intent to become the next transnational jihadist franchise capable of threatening the United States and Europe. These fears were further stoked by warnings from the U.S. government in November 2011 that Boko Haram was planning to attack Western hotels in Abuja.

Dynamic Changes

To counter the perceived growing Boko Haram threat, the Nigerian government, aided by intelligence and training provided by the United States and its European allies, launched a major offensive against the group. Since January, the government has arrested or killed several leaders of Boko Haram, disrupted a number of cells and dismantled numerous bombmaking facilities. In addition to government efforts, there has been a grassroots backlash against Boko Haram, as evidenced by the formation of anti-Boko Haram militant group Jama'atu Ansarul Muslimina Fi Biladis Sudan, or "Supporters of Muslims in the Lands of Sudan," commonly known as Ansaru.

.Boko Haram has lashed out viciously against these countermeasures. From June to August, the group conducted nine suicide bombings, mostly directed against churches and police or military targets in its home territory. Since August, the operational tempo of its suicide bombings has slowed to about one attack a month. Boko Haram operatives have also conducted a number of armed attacks and non-suicide bombing attacks. Many of these were directed against churches and police or military targets, but several of them were also directed against mosques that denounced Boko Haram. Despite warnings that Boko Haram would target Western hotels in Abuja, the group has not attacked an international target since the U.N. building in August 2011.

Boko Haram activity has remained heavily concentrated in its core areas with occasional operations in Abuja. There have been only two Boko Haram attacks in Abuja in 2012: a large suicide vehicle bombing attack against a newspaper office in April and a small bombing attack against a nightclub in June. It appears that the group's ability to conduct large attacks in Abuja has been constrained by government operations.

Tactically, Boko Haram's attacks in 2012 have focused almost exclusively on soft targets. Even its attacks against military and police targets have been directed against police on patrol or isolated police stations with little security or have been a target like the church at the military base in Jaji.

So while Boko Haram progressed rapidly in terms of operational ability in 2011, it is still struggling to conduct sustained operations outside its core geographic territory, and it has yet to successfully strike a hardened target. Even the August 2011 attack against the United Nations, while demonstrating some geographic reach and a focus on an international target, was directed against a relatively soft target instead of a harder target like a government ministry building or a foreign embassy. It is also notable that the group has not conducted an attack in Lagos, Nigeria's most populous city, or in Niger, Chad or Cameroon, which are all closer to the Boko Haram home territories than Lagos.

However, in Nigeria, the use of militant proxies has long been part of the political process. Just as Niger Delta politicians have used groups like the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta for their own purposes, politicians in Nigeria's northeast have supported and used Boko Haram. In fact, an alleged senior member of the group was arrested at the home of a Nigerian senator in Maiduguri in October 2012, and a previous governor of Borno state is allegedly a sponsor of the group.

This type of political and financial support means that despite the efforts of the central government, the group will not be easily or quickly eradicated. Any serious attempt to curtail the group will require a political solution, which will be highly unlikely during the next two years due to the usefulness of such proxies in the lead-up to Nigerian national elections in early 2015. Therefore, the central government's options will be limited. The best it can hope for is to continue to pursue the group to contain it and limit its reach and lethality.

Certainly, Boko Haram retains the capability to kill people, especially in attacks against vulnerable targets on its home turf. But as long as the Nigerian government maintains pressure on the group and as long as the group remains on the defensive, Boko Haram is unlikely to be able to further develop its operational capabilities and pose an existential threat to the Nigerian government -- let alone become a transnational terrorist threat.

Bitter Harvest: Zimbabwe and the Aftermath of its Independence

A very interesting book review from www.Amazon.com about Rhodesia being ruined into Zimbabwe. (Could this happen in the U.S.? )This follows this previous post about it.  This follows this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! For more that you can do to get involved click HERE and you can read another very interesting book HERE.

Bitter Harvest: Zimbabwe and the Aftermath of its Independence
Ian Smith (Author)

A wake up call.
By S Smyth

Format:PaperbackThis account of the deliberate destruction of Rhodesia by foreign powers helbent on disastrous political agendas which are also an existential threat to their own states and economies in 2009, is a wake-up-call for people with an interest in such matters. The bulk of Ian Smith's ire is directed towards Great Britain and its determined drive to placate the OAU and maintain the Commonwealth via the policy of No Independence Before African Majority Rule (NIBMAR) irrespective of the reality on the ground that Black-Africans desired any such a thing, or had the slightest ability to administrate it beyond a cadre of Marxiist-Lennist gangsters intent upon looting Rhodesia's capital core, for their own purposes.

As per Henry Kissinger's pragmatic advice and South Africa's disastrous détente policy, as aggressively advocated by John Vorster, Ian Smith accepted the inevitable. Rhodesia became Zimbabwe. And Robert Mugabe in consort with Zanu-PF, rapidly instigated their intended programme to reduce a successful and thriving African state into the catastrophe it now is, whilst pocketing the loot and remaining in power without any possibility of being challenged. Which is the point of Communism, as Ian Smith was reliably informed by a Black-African university graduate when asked why he was an advocate of Communism.

At the heart of this book is the observation that, when those who do not have to suffer the consequences of their actions persist in ignoring principles and sacrifice integrity for political expediency and personal gain, the state cannot survive.

How liberal guilt leads to more innocent bloodshed!
By Jeffrey S. Ross

Format:Paperback
Amazon Verified PurchasePrime Minister Ian Smith lays out in detail how the Western powers, motivated by an urge to atone for a leftist-inspired guilt complex over the past, have only caused more innocent blood to gush in a land far from them. That, along with South African Prime John Vorster's foolish attempt to appease African Marxist leaders and use Rhodesia as a foil to distract world attention away from his Apartheid regime, has only served to install a brutal thug whose regime has one of the worst human rights records. If Western liberals want a REAL reason to feel guilty, they need only look to Zimbabwe and read Ian Smith's book.

Robert Mugabe, Bloodthirsty Thug
By R. Carpenter

Format:PaperbackIan Douglas Smith was born in 1919, the year after WWI ended. He was a relic of what "British" used to mean before socialism, before the nanny state, and before political correctness. For better or worse, he wanted to bring British rule of law, and the British way of thinking, to the Rhodesian Africans along with the resulting prosperity. He succeeded in bringing prosperity; most historians agree the Rhodesian Africans were more prosperous than any others. Smith immediately recognized Robert Mugabe for the savage thug he has always been. The problem was numbers: 270,000 Europeans compared with five million Africans in Rhodesia. Once the AK-47 arrived from Russia in large numbers it was only a matter of time. Rhodesia was something of an embarrassment for the rest of the white world with the civil rights movement in its early years of promise. It was so easy for distant Americans or Europeans to mouth the words "Black Majority Rule" without any understanding of reality. That reality included two very different peoples that whites feel free to lump together as "black", the Shona and the Matabele. The Shona, other than Mugabe and his thugs, are known as artistic, creative, intelligent and friendly people compared with the Matabeles, who are descended from the same folk as the Zulus. Both groups hated white people much LESS than they hated each other. In that sense, white rule was the Africans' second choice. Not good, but better than rule by the other African group. That fact explains why so few whites were able to rule so many Africans for so long, with the able assistance of African soldiers and police, all of whom were volunteers.

Rhodesia was thrown to to wolves by South Africa in order to buy that country's Apartheid system a few more years. Smith had no choice but to take what he could salvage, which included civil rights for white people and a white quota in the parliament for seven years. To give the devil his due, Mugabe waited the seven years to begin killing white people and taking their large farms. The whites knew how to run large farms but the Africans either did not or had little incentive to do so under new price controls. The predictable results include mass starvation and women forced to South Africa and prostitution in order to feed their children. Today there are fewer than 20,000 whites in the country, few of them in the countryside. Like many savages (see Ben Bernanke) Mugabe believed real wealth comes from printing money. Unlike our own Federal Reserve, Mugabe learned his lesson and no longer bothers to print his own worthless currency.

Here are a few telling comparisons between Smith and Mugabe. When Smith lived in the Prime Minister's residence it was often unguarded; he often answered the door himself. Mugabe has always lived there surrounded by sandbags, barbed wire, and machine guns. Smith often drove accompanied by one police officer. Mugabe drives with at least a company of heavily armed bodyguards. Any ordinary driver who does not stop immediately until the entourage passes risks being beaten to a pulp.

Is there a lesson for the future? Mind our own business; stop trying to "help" people we do not understand. Trade and visit, but no military alliances; no sanctions, no "spreading democracy" at gunpoint.

Battle For Zimbabwe: The Final Countdown

Geoff Hill   freedom was betrayed,
By Henry Berry "Henry Berry" (Southport, CT) - See all my reviews

(REAL NAME) This review is from: Battle For Zimbabwe: The Final Countdown (Hardcover)

Africa correspondent for the Washington Times who grew up in different countries of southern Africa, including Zimbabwe, Hill gives a detailed account of the overthrow of the white-controlled government when the country was known as Rhodesia by indigenous black rebels and the subsequent cementing of the autocratic, often brutal rule of Robert Mugabe. Mugabe was one of the leaders of the insurrection and political leader of Zimbabwe (as the country was named after the end of white rule). To a large extent, this is the story of the murky circumstances whereby Mugabe became leader of the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU), including the assassination of its leader, and its role in helping to keep him in power. Instead of a bona fide political party in a democratic system, ZANU became the enforcement arm of Mugabe's one-man rule. Hill's chronicle of unfortunate Zimbabwe and biographical portrayal of its autocratic leader is a set piece in how things have gone wrong in many countries in Africa. With a deep understanding and love for this magnificent country, Hill lays out an excellent expos? over Zimbabwe's rise and unfortunate fall under the rule of President Mugabe. By elegantly blending historical events with a large number of interviews from both ZANU-PF officials and the MDC opposition to ordinary Zimbabweans, Hill has created a solid piece that is thorough and analytical but yet easy-to-read. Invisible Victims: White Males and the Crisis of Affirmative Action

Invisible Victims: White Males and the Crisis of Affirmative Action

Frederic Lynch

5.0 out of 5 stars Affirmative Genocide
By Onyx

Format:HardcoverFrederick Lynch has done an excellent job of exposing the US Democratic party's betrayal of its's white electorate in enforcing Affirmative Discrimination without a mandate.

The lives of an entire generation of white American males were severly damaged by this evil and unjustified racial engineering program.Lynch goes on to ponder the seeming conspiracy of silence among the mass media and their refusal to highlight the plight of white male victims, even though there was no dearth of evidence.

However, as insidious as the the application of Affirmative Discrimination was in the US, it pales in comparison to what is currently being perpetrated in South Africa. For every white male job applicant in South Africa there are approximately twenty to fifty black applicants, yet it is the minority which legislation enforces discrimination against. The silence of the Western media on this matter(particularly the BBC)borders on the criminal.(The ANC controlled media does not deserve mention as it is merely a propaganda engine.)

Lynch details how American organisations applied an AA selection criteria which resulted in many meritous white applicants being arbritarily rejected.Instead of ensuring that all meritous applicants, regardless of race, be allowed an equal chance to compete, non-meritous black applicants were given preference over skilled white applicants - pure racial engineering. In South Africa the ANC uses demographic and occupational statistics in an attempt to justify its' heinous racial engineering agenda - this is not too different from the Nazis philosophy as expoused by Goebbels.During the Nazis invasion of Eastern Europe they were quick to identify those strategic political and economic positions which were held by Jews and to demand their removal and replacement with Nazis. This is the very same strategy being pursued by the racist ANC regime which demands that the majority of skilled positions available in the economy be occupied by blacks, and imposes substantial financial penalties, and refuses lucrative government tenders, to those organisations who fail to comply speedily enough. This effectively dooms an entire generation of young, white South African males to a future of poverty, regardless of their educational level. This is tantamount to ethnic cleansing and ethnic cleansing is Genocide. This, not crime, is the primary reason for the brain drain from South Africa as many white males would otherwise be reduced to the level of beggars.

While it is unlikely that any of the US Deomcratic party perpetrators will be brought to book, it is a neverending source of puzzlement to me that many white Americans continue to vote for a party which so blatantly sold them out.

Affirmative Action is a Gross Human Rights Violation and must be declared a Crime Against Humanity.

It goes without saying that its' victims should be paid substantial reparations for the economic, psychological and emotional trauma they suffered by having their basic human rights violated by Nazis style social engineering.

5.0 out of 5 stars discrimination to stop discrimination it still discrimination

By Michael A. Scheurich

Format:Paperback
Amazon Verified PurchaseIts no secret why young American males are underachieving, although you would be hard pressed to find anyone who will admit the fact. Affirmative Action, meant to eliminate discrimination did just the opposite. It not only promoted discrimination against males it implemented laws and programs to make sure males were discriminated against. If a young American male was lucky enough to find an employer who would hire him he would have to work along side a non-English speaking alien who was less qualified to do the job and at the same wage level as his unqualified co-worker who couldn't even understand the instructions for doing the job. In addition the more qualified male was pigeon-holed while the unqualified co-worker received wage increases and promotions. How discouraging can it be to be in a job and knowing no matter how hard or how- good a job you did you were not going to be rewarded with pay increases or promotions and yet a person working with you who was not even an American citizen and could not even speak English would. In addition to racial discrimination males were discriminated against sexually during the same era and still are. Males are not just discriminated against in work but from the time they begin school up to and throughout most colleges and universities. At home parents were encouraged to discriminate against male children and 'daughters only day' in which daughters (not sons) would be taken to spend the day at work with a parent. Statistics given which demonstrated minorities and women were being discriminated against were manipulate to justify the discrimination against males. The jobs of women who worked lower paying temporary or part-time work to supplement family income was included in statistics comparing average wages of men and women as well as the lower starting wages of new employees which were compared to wages of men who had 20+ years of yearly wage increments. Men were no longer bread winners nor loving protectors of the family they were redefined in the most negative way possible as abusers of their spouses and their children. No one dared step forward to dispute these false claims less be terminated in place of employment or be accused of being a sexist or racist.

Government-imposed quotas were explicitly banned in the 1964 Civil Rights Act Nevertheless they immediately spread through the economy. For most of that time, they received eerily little media and even less academic attention. Of some 1,300 papers given at a recent American Sociological Association conference on Race and Ethnic Relations, the topic attracted only one.

The result: the situation summarized in the title of Lynch's new paperback,Invisible Victims: White males and the Crisis of Affirmative Action (Praeger, $14.95). The ideal of merit hiring has been subverted by politicized hiring, with white men unable to defend themselves against open discrimination. But quotas bring other problems, including conflict among the "protected classes'' they benefit, and growing racial polarization, particularly as the articulate middle class begins to suffer.

"Race-norming [adjusting test scores to produce racially proportionate results] alone affected millions of people,'' he says. "Many state and local governments did it with their GATBs [General Aptitude Test Batteries, taken by job seekers and supplied to potential employers]. And private testing agencies did it to protect their clients against lawsuits--they called it ''EEO-proofing.'' (The federalEqual Employment Opportunity Commission muscles business into quotas.)

But Lynch is not surprised at the blunder. "There's incredible denial,'' he says. He cites California Democratic Representative Don Edwards, a mouthpiece of the civil rights establishment, claiming on the New York Times Op Ed page that quotas did not exist--within weeks of three Supreme Court decisions about them. And, using similar Orwellian doublethink, supporters insisted that the 1991 Civil Rights Act did not impose quotas, although its key point was to override the Supreme Court and make work force racial imbalance prima facie evidence of employer discrimination.

By townsend

Format:PaperbackThe word "quotas" is largely avoided, because public opinion polls found that 80% of the public opposed them. Instead, we hear of affirmative action (AA), equal opportunity employment, and the goal of diversity in higher education and the workforce. AA at work in the workforce, & reverse discrimination suits filed by white males, are well-known and occasional news items; likewise, instances of white males passed over for promotion are also known. But the insidious nature of race-and-gender preference as the determinative principle in academic hiring has not received the attention it deserves.

Lynch describes how affirmative action began as a series of directives designed to encourage recruitment of qualified minorities and women. Under this version, women and minority applicants would compete on a non-discriminatory, colorblind, and gender neutral basis. Today, a more radical version of AA exists, in which women and minorities are to be hired in proportion to their numbers in the general population. What was once a temporary, transitional expedient to redress inequalities has become a permanent, institutionalized feature of academic hiring practices.

Proponents of AA identify white males as the past perpetrators of discriminatory hiring and promotion practices. That present day white males might suffer loss from AA seems justified. But as Lynch notes, older white elite members imposed AA quotas upon white, working, middle class baby boomers and, to a growing degree, their children.

The generational cleavage between white male perpetrators of discrimination and present white male victims of AA has been ignored. Why should the latter group redress historical inequalities an earlier generation created?

The hypocrisy of the whole situation needs to be underscored. The very universities that accept gifted students into their graduate programs--including many white males--were the first to shut out white males when job opportunities arose.

Part of the American dream is that education is the key to unlimited opportunities. But just be sure to check your sex and skin color first.

World News and Trends: Rape crisis in South Africa

article by Good News Editor

"... For just as when a man rises against his neighbor and kills him, even so is this matter" (Deuteronomy 22:26But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

See All...). The context makes it clear that the subject under discussion is rape (verses 25, 27). To God, rape is as serious a crime as murder because it destroys something that can never be replaced. (Sources: The Daily Mail [London], Time .)

Genocide In South Africa
By Pamela Geller
The genocide of white South Africans is heating up.Last week, South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) finally told its members to stop singing the song "Kill the Boer" -- that is, murder white South Africans. (Boer is Afrikaans for "farmer," but colloquially is a disparaging term for any white South African.) This came after ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema defied a court ruling and kept singing the song (he still refuses to stop), and after Eugene Terreblanche, leader of the noxious and hateful neo-Nazi Afrikaner Resistance Movement (AWB), was found savagely bludgeoned to death at his farm in South Africa's North West province. The international media focused on Terreblanche's white supremacism, showing his followers giving the Nazi salute at his funeral. No account of his murder or funeral spoke about Malema, "Kill the Boer," or black supremacism -- yet that is the really important story in South Africa today.Whites in South Africa are keenly aware of the plans to kill them. They expect mass killings to begin very soon after the death of Mandela, but to tell this to the world is a waste of energy. More than 3,000 white farmers have already been murdered, and Genocide Watch lists the Boer farmers in South Africa as victims of genocide -- but the media couldn't care less. Malema has praised Zimbabwe's murderous seizure of white-owned farms as "courageous and militant." White South Africans know what's coming.Malema keeps singing the apartheid-era song "Kill the Boer" even though South Africa's highest court ruled that the song was hate speech (a decision the ANC is appealing, although they've asked their followers to stop singing it in the meantime; they've emphasized that they have not banned the song).Under ANC rule, the government has stopped reporting the race of murder victims and the race of the murderer. This is because the international community (mainly GenocideWatch.org) was starting to notice the disproportionate number of whites being murdered in South Africa. The ANC stopped reporting the race of the victims of murder so there would be no way to track the number of black-on-white murders. Problem solved.A Jewish journalist in Johannesburg wrote me last week to shed light on the Malema situation, and on the chaos and deteriorating conditions in that country. About Malema he lamented: "Why isn't anyone standing up to this moron, not even the president?" He noted another South African journalist's observation: "The problem surrounding Malema is that he is basically a ‘dumb orator with popular support.' Like Hitler."Another AtlasShrugs.com reader in South Africa wrote this to me:Have you searched facebook "Julius Malema" I see they have closed down his account, but a new one has already opened with over 2000 fans already. The remarks there were really horrible. They have threatened to "Rape all the white whore bitches and burn all their children"....makes me sleep with one eye open. The American media says little or nothing about the genocide in South Africa, because it's black against white; it's politically incorrect to notice. The mainstream media portrays all white South Africans as racist monsters like Eugene Terreblanche. This is simply not true. And remember: a key step on the road to genocide is to dehumanize the intended victims. What is happening in South Africa against the white population is a crime against humanity. Savage. And no one will speak of it. The leftist media (all big media) and the international community (notoriously left) ignores it entirely. Their silence is affirmation; it sanctions the evil. Most decent people are perplexed by the uneven humanity and inhumanity of our leftist moral "superiors." I am not. They unremittingly vilify the Jewish people and Israel, the most benevolent government and army in the Middle East, but pay scant attention to jihad and the Islamic culture of honor killings, clitorectomies, child slavery, forced marriage, child marriage, etc. Why?Because the leftists are bigots and racists, that's why. Because as morally superior as they think they are, they have no regard for the perpetrators of violence on the left, like the black South Africans. Their subliminal message is clear: "They're animals, whaddaya expect?" That is their prejudice. It's the soft bigotry of low expectations. The genocide of white South Africans? Yawn. "Whaddaya expect?"

Genocide In South Africa
By Pamela Geller

The genocide of white South Africans is heating up.
Last week, South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) finally told its members to stop singing the song "Kill the Boer" -- that is, murder white South Africans. (Boer is Afrikaans for "farmer," but colloquially is a disparaging term for any white South African.) The international media focused on Terreblanche's white supremacism, showing his followers giving the Nazi salute at his funeral. No account of his murder or funeral spoke about Malema, "Kill the Boer," or black supremacism -- yet that is the really important story in South Africa today.
Whites in South Africa are keenly aware of the plans to kill them. They expect mass killings to begin very soon after the death of Mandela, but to tell this to the world is a waste of energy. More than 3,000 white farmers have already been murdered, and Genocide Watch lists the Boer farmers in South Africa as victims of genocide -- but the media couldn't care less. Under ANC rule, the government has stopped reporting the race of murder victims and the race of the murderer.
