Stupid Party Behaving, Well, Stupidly, Over Confederate Battle Flag, Council Of Conservative Citizens

A timely post about from www.vdare.com about the GOP and the Confederate Flag. This follows this post about Pope Francis turning LEFT. This follows this post about Conservative Black Issues Speakers who are needed now more than ever! This follows this post about Obamacare subsidies and the Supreme Court.

Stupid Party Behaving, Well, Stupidly, Over Confederate Battle Flag, Council Of Conservative Citizens

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s sudden capitulation on the Confederate Battle Flag was entirely predictable given the terminally corrupt South Carolina GOP [South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley says Confederate flag has ‘no place’ on statehouse ground, Fox News, June 22 2015]. But as Conservatism Inc. and the GOP blindly attempt to distance themselves from Southern history, they are digging their own graves. Their joining in the rush to demonize the Council of Conservative Citizens is just another example. There was a reason the late Sam Francis, himself once editor of the Council’s newsletter, described the GOP as “the Stupid Party.”
The Charleston shooter Dylann Roof’s supposed manifesto noted that he Googled “black on white crime,” found the Council of Conservative Citizens website and discovered that there was an enormous amount of black on white crime that the Main Stream Media just suppresses. This is the extent of any known connection between Roof and the organization.
After the shooting, the Council’s blog stated: “the loss of nine lives is devastating” and “we pray, for the sake of all Americans, that there will not be an escalation of racial tension.”
The organization’s president Earl Holt III further noted:
The CofCC does not advocate illegal activities of any kind, and never has. I would gladly compare the honesty and law-abiding nature of our membership against that of any other group.
[Media Interviews with the CofCC, Conservative-Headlines.com, June 20, 2015]
In all the condemnations of the Council in the wake of the shooting, I have not seen anyone suggest that Roof was actually a member, or that the organization has advocated violence. And insofar as the Council highlighted black on white crime, it is no different than most other conservative news outlets like Drudge Report, Breitbart, Fox News, and Daily Caller.
In fact, many Leftists quickly blamed these conservative outlets as well.
For example, South Carolina House Minority Leader Todd Rutherford (pictured right) attacked Fox News saying Roof:Rutherford-Thumbnail[1]
…hears that, because he watches the news and he watches things like Fox News, where they talk about things that they call news, but they’re really not. They use that coded language, they use hate speech, they talk about the president as if he’s not the president. They talk about churchgoers as if they’re not really churchgoers. And that’s what this young man acted on. That’s why you can walk into a church and treat people like animals when they’re really human beings. [South Carolina legislator took a cheap-shot at Fox News on Charleston massacre, By Erik Wemple, Washington Post, June 20, 2015]
Similarly, Bill Maher noted “there were a lot of stories about black people” on Drudge and Daily Caller, which “present a really twisted view,” so he was “not surprised this guy thought ‘they’re taking over the country.” [Bill Maher Says Daily Caller, Matt Drudge, Fox News Inspired Dylann Roof [VIDEO], By Chuck Ross, Daily Caller, June 20, 2015] (In 2011, when Drudge merely linked to headlines about the Flash Mob phenomenon without mentioning race, Salon’s Alex Pareene called it Matt Drudge’s disgusting race war awareness campaign.[June 1, 2011]).
No doubt Conservatism Inc. was relieved when Maher cited the Council of Conservative Citizens rather than a more Establishment site. So they joined on the pile-on. Writing on Breitbart.com, Jordan Schachtel describes Roof’s manifesto as advocating “neo-Nazi” beliefs and claimed that “through the Council of Conservative Citizens, Roof said he ‘found out about the Jewish problem and other issues facing our race.’” [Dylann Roof Manifesto Reveals Racist, Neo-Nazi, Anti-American Beliefs, Breitbart.com, June 20, 2015]
Essentially everything Schachtel writes here is false. The only thing Roof said he learned about from the Council of Conservative Citizen’s website was accurate information about black crime and lies about the Trayvon Martin scam—issues that Breitbart itself has regularly highlighted. Roof said he “researched deeper,” presumably from other sources, before forming opinions on Jews.
In fact, even its critics do not call the CofCC anti-Semitic. It carries nothing that could even conceivably considered anti-Semitic. For that matter, the only mention of Nazism in Roof’s manifesto is where he says “I myself would have rather lived in 1940’s American than Nazi Germany.”
Schachtel then goes on to note how the organization has nothing to do with the Republican Party because it “has been condemned by the Republican National Committee for holding ‘racist and nationalist’ views.” Yet this fails to acknowledge that the reason this occurred was that so many Republican politicians, including Trent Lott, Bob Barr, Haley Barbour, Mike Huckabee and Roger Wicker had associated with it, and the RNC was trying to shame other politicians from doing the same. (See James Kirkpatrick’s Scalise And GOP Don’t Want To Admit It, But They Needed Duke (= White) Vote. They Still Do).
Although the GOP has tried to completely marginalize the Council, there are still some state level politicians who ignore the party line and work with the group. As recently as 2013, Council board member Roan Garcia-Quintana was on South Carolina governor Nikki Haley’s steering committee for reelection.
And this goes to the larger issue: by joining in the attacks on the Council, Conservatism Inc. and the GOP are providing more fodder for the Left. It will now proceed to look for more “links” between the GOP and the Council, and for evidence that Roof may have read more conventional websites.
All the RNC’s efforts have not stopped the MSM from trumpeting even more attenuated ties. Notably, it turns out that Earl Holt has contributed $65,000 to various Republican politicians including Rand Paul, Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz, Rob Portman, Rick Santorum and Jeff Flake. CITE
(Actually, I am surprised that a supposedly far-right leader is giving thousands of dollars to amnesty supporters like Jeff Flake and Rand Paul. I’m reminded of Joe Sobran’s quip after Bob Barr apologized for speaking to the group:
“[I]t has been reported in several newspapers that I once spoke to the Council of Conservative Citizens, which is currently being pilloried as a radical racist organization. It`s true I addressed them some years ago. But I should state here, for the record, that I would never have accepted their invitation if I had known then of their associations with Republican leaders.”[Change This Document!, Sobran.com, February 4, 1999])
Anyway, fleeing from the MSM, Romney, Paul, Cruz, and Portman have all announced they are either returning the donations or giving it to black charities.
Even if Holt were as evil as the MSM pretends he is, returning his donations sets a terrible precedent for GOP politicians. They are acknowledging they are responsible for the views of their donors. This invites the MSM to sort through FEC filings and find new scandals. As much as the Republican Party tries to be politically correct, their supporters are not. In the upcoming months, expect to see someone who made intemperate about gay marriage or black crime on Facebook contributing 200 dollars to Ted Cruz as national news.
In contrast, while I have no brief for Ron Paul, he realized the trap of setting a PC litmus test for his financial supporters. When the MSM went after him from accepting donations from people far to the right of Mr. Holt, his campaign responded:
All of our campaign’s energy is dedicated to spreading the message of liberty and limited government, and we do not spend time screening donors or blocking websites…If a small number individuals who hold racist beliefs want to waste their money by giving to Dr. Paul, a man who stands firmly against their small minded ideologies, then the campaign will simply use those funds to protect freedom, peace and civil liberties across our Nation.
[Ron Paul Refuses to Divest of Donations from Neo-Nazis, By Josh Harkinson, Mother Jones, November 15, 2007]
Similarly, by demonizing the Council, Breitbart accepts that it’s fair to attack any news source that may have indirectly influenced Roof. But just because Roof did not cite Breitbart or other Conservatism Inc. websites in his manifesto does not mean that once the FBI goes through his browsing history, they won’t find them.
In fact, many of the black-on-white crime stories that the Council’s website links to came from Breitbart, and it praised Andrew Breitbart as a hero. [Conservative hero passes away, March 2012]. If the Council of Conservative Citizens is responsible for Dylan Roof liking the Council’s website, then why isn’t Breitbart responsible for the Council liking Breitbart?
Lenin may never have said “the capitalists will sell us the rope with which to hang them,” but the modern reality is much worse.
Today, the GOP and Conservatism Inc. are giving the Cultural Marxists the rope for free.

Fox News takes a dive on Amnesty

An interesting article from www.alipac.us about Fox News and their PRO-amnesty coverage. This follows this post about Texas immigration bills. This follows this post on HOW amnesty is funded in ways other than the DHS. Remember, “Amnesty” means ANY non-enforcement of existing immigration laws! This follows this comment and this post about how to Report Illegal Immigrants! Also, you can read two very interesting books HERE.
I am leaving TWITTER SOON. Please continue to follow me here.

Fox News takes a dive on Amnesty + New round of National protests March 27-30

Fox News Bows To Obama's Amnesty Give Them an Ear Full

A few years ago when News Corp and Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch joined socialist globalist billionaire (and Mayor of New York) Michael Bloomberg at a podium to announce his support for "immigration reform" amnesty, ALIPAC and many other notable illegal immigration fighters were banned from Fox News. Fox specifically purged guests that opposed pro amnesty Senator Lindsey Graham!

While we can never be sure why Rupert Murdoch joined the amnesty side, the cell phone hacking scandal in England at one of his companies led to speculation that the US Department of Justice (under Obama) might file charges against Rupert Murdoch.

But then Murdoch came out in support of amnesty, banned 90% of Fox News's anti-amnesty guests, and just last week, it was announced Murdoch will not face charges and prison time. This could be the motivating factor!

But now we have reports that Mickey Kaus just quit his job at the Daily Caller because Daily Caller owner Tucker Carleson censored his story about how Fox News is supporting Obama's amnesty by not reporting on it and focusing on scaring audiences about ISIS as a way to deflect attention away from the illegal alien amnesty overthrow of America here at home!

Report about Mickey Kaus
http://www.alipac.us/f9/mickey-kaus-...column-318278/

Hey! Isn't it time that Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Greta Van Susteren, Gretchen Carlson, Brit Hume and others threatened to quit Fox News over this censorship and amnesty support too?

Or is the goal of Fox News and their own air personalities to keep the attention of a dying America and give people a nonsocialist channel to watch as the news just gets worse and worse all the way down?

Please consider writing and calling Fox News to share your dismay at their support for amnesty!

After Quick Expulsions, U. of Oklahoma Taking Heat on Free Speech and Due Process

A timely post about from www.thefire.org about Oklahoma. This follows this post about the age of Obama. You can follow me here.

After Quick Expulsions, U. of Oklahoma Taking Heat on Free Speech and Due Process

Order FIRE Guides

By March 11, 2015

FIRE has serious concerns about the University of Oklahoma’s (OU’s) disregard for the free speech and due process rights of two students who were told yesterday they would be expelled from the university for their participation in a “racist and exclusionary chant” that was caught on video. As I wrote on The Torch yesterday, the language in the video is constitutionally protected, and OU is legally and morally bound by the First Amendment not to punish students for speech merely because it is offensive or hurtful.
Parker Rice, the first of the two students to be publicly identified, has apologized and stated that he withdrew from the university. Parents of Levi Pettit, the second student, have also publicly apologized. These statements, however, should not alleviate concerns about OU students’ rights. Even if neither of these students choose to challenge OU’s actions, their punishment remains a threat to freedom of expression on campus, and no student can be sure what action administrators may take against them with no notice or meaningful opportunity to be heard.
A growing number of media outlets are pointing out that whatever one’s personal feelings about the chant in question may be, the university’s actions are inconsistent with our nation’s broad free speech protections. For example, the New Republic took the question back a step for those less familiar with First Amendment jurisprudence, citing the Supreme Court’s consistent reiteration of the principle that “the mere dissemination of ideas—no matter how offensive to good taste—on a state university campus may not be shut off in the name alone of conventions of decency.” Constitutional law professors including Erwin Chemerinsky, Geoffrey Stone, and Eugene Volokh have faulted OU on First Amendment grounds as well.
Some observers have also emphasized the practical reasons why punishing students for racist speech is ineffective or even counterproductive. Slate’s Jamelle Bouie aptly remarked yesterday that “[e]ducation would be better”—those who strive to combat racism should engage with those who contribute to it, perhaps changing their thinking instead of just their behavior. FIRE wholeheartedly agrees that the best answer to speech with which one disagrees is more speech, not punishment.
Blake Neff of The Daily Caller shares FIRE’s concerns about due process, as well. As he points out, OU has written procedures that dictate that students facing punishment for conduct code violations must receive notice of the charges against them, a meeting to discuss the charges with the Student Conduct Office, and a hearing if timely requested. The procedures even afford students additional safeguards when they are facing expulsion. Yet Rice and Pettit were informed by the university president—not the conduct board—that they were to be expelled based solely, apparently, on President David Boren’s judgment of the case. And Boren’s letter does not even specify what part of the student conduct code Rice and Pettit supposedly have violated—the most basic information they would need in order to defend themselves against punishment by the university.
OU’s provisions do allow for “prompt action” where “ there is substantial concern for the health, safety, or welfare of a member of the University community.” However, it is doubtful that this provision could be validly applied in this case. For one thing, it is unclear how a chant about black students’ exclusion from a fraternity could be deemed a safety concern. Secondly, according to The Oklahoman, university legal counsel Anil Gollahalli characterized the case as an academic matter. This labeling, the outlet reports, allows the university to expel students without approval by the board of regents, but it also precludes any argument that the students needed to be kicked off campus immediately. After all, how many genuine academic disputes pose any physical danger to the campus community?
Unfortunately, not all civil liberties advocates are taking a strong stance in favor of student rights. The American Civil Liberties Union of Oklahoma (ACLU OK) released a statement on Tuesday understandably denouncing racism and encouraging the administration to respect students’ due process rights. Another statement posted yesterday on ACLU OK’s website mirrored Bouie’s argument that counter-speech is the most effective response to hateful speech. Disappointingly, however, the ACLU chapter’s remarks have failed to note that OU has ignored its own policies in dealing with Rice and Pettit and taken action against them for speech that is—however despicable ACLU OK or others find it—protected under the First Amendment.
ACLU OK director Ryan Kiesel said, “From everything we’ve seen it appears the university has stuck by their commitment to due process.” But how is Boren’s letter informing Rice and Pettit of their expulsions from the university—without notice of what student conduct code provision they have violated, and before any hearing on the issue—consistent with OU’s written procedures? And how could the punishment meted out without following those procedures be viewed as a “commitment to due process”?
It is also disappointing that ACLU OK has not, as others have, spoken about the First Amendment problem inherent in punishing speech simply because it is racist. Even if ACLU OK is unsure whether the chant created a “hostile environment” that must be addressed by OU (FIRE believes it falls far short of this standard), the interest in ensuring that expression on campus is not unduly chilled or unlawfully punished is strong enough to merit comment by any free speech advocate. This is particularly true with respect to the ACLU, which has a history of defending hateful speech from government censorship.
Unless the two students decide to fight back, the university may indeed get away with violating their constitutional rights this time. But other students should be vigilant, because it is only a matter of time before OU takes action against someone else for their protected speech, or moves to expel another student without due process. In order to understand their rights, students at OU and elsewhere should read FIRE’s Guide to Free Speech on Campus and our newly revised Guide to Due Process and Campus Justice.

CAIR chief claims Muslims discovered America first

A timely post about from http://dailycaller.com about the Muslim claim for discovering America. This follows this post about a biker gang of NYC minority off duty policers who attacked a motorist.. In the meantime, you can get more involved if you like here and read an interesting book HERE.

CAIR chief claims Muslims discovered America first

Muslims discovered the Americas long before Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492, the head of a D.C.-based jihad-linked Islamic lobbying group told a Saudi TV station Dec. 27.

“There are historical accounts according to which the Muslims preceded Columbus, who is said to have discovered the U.S.,” claimed Nihad Awad, the co-founder of the Council on American Islamic Relations.

“Some documents and accounts indicate that Muslim seafarers were the first to reach the U.S., [so] the bottom line is that Islam played a part in the establishment and development of the U.S.,” Awad told the Saudi interviewer, in an interview in a New York studio.

CAIR did not respond to The Daily Caller’s request for an explanation of Awad’s comments, which were recorded by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

Awad’s group bills itself as a “civil rights” group, but five of its former employees have been jailed or deported for terror offenses, and FBI officials refuse to meet Awad because of his ties to jihadi groups, such as Hamas.

Awad’s claim was made during an interview in which he argued that Muslims can settle in the U.S. without violating Islam’s myriad Sharia rules about religion, diet, speech, friendships, work and political loyalty.

“Islam flourishes in an atmosphere of freedom, and [it] spreads freedom, justice, and equality,” he claimed. “Every day I live as an American-Muslim citizen, I rediscover the firm bonds between the humane system that the U.S. created for its people, and the values advocated by Islam,” he claimed.

However, Islam’s Sharia laws curb religious freedom, speech, and political activism, and also subordinate non-Muslims and women to orthodox Muslim men. Sharia is enforced in Saudi Arabia, Iran, much of Afghanistan and increasingly in Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia and Libya, all of which were recently governed by secular laws.

Awad’s claim is part of a broader campaign by Islamist groups to encourage Muslims to settle in the United States and Europe. From 610 to 632, Islam’s founder, Mohammad, reputedly urged his followers to spread Islam by both conquest and emigration.

At Congressional Black Caucus Conference, ACORN Boss Bertha Lewis Calls for Politically Destroying Whites Through Amnesty and Unlimited, Non-White Immigration

At Congressional Black Caucus Conference, ACORN Boss Bertha Lewis Calls for Politically Destroying Whites Through Amnesty and Unlimited, Non-White Immigration

ACORN’s former chief calls for more immigration to boost black power

By Neil Munro

September 20, 2013, 11:03 P.M.

The Daily Caller

ACORN’s former CEO Bertha Lewis urged Africans-Americans to support increased immigration as a strategy to gain political power.

“We got some Latino cousins, we got some Asian cousins, we got some Native-American cousins, we got all kind of cousins,” said Lewis, who spoke Thursday at the annual political conference of the Congressional Black Caucus.

“Cousins need to get together because if we’re going to be [part of the non-white] majority, it makes sense for black people in this country to get down with immigration reform,” said Lewis, whose ACORN group was formally disbanded in 2010 after a series of scandals.

Lewis did not mention solidarity with whites, or with people who define themselves as Americans, in her appeal for power.

“Everyone, even all white folks in this country, acknowledge that in a minute, [the] United States of America will be a new majority, will be majority minority, a brand-new thing,” she said.

In 2012, “for the first time ever in history, African-Americans outvoted white Americans. Oooh. That’s the fear of the white man. That could change everything. That’s why [immigration] should matter to us,” she declared.

Lewis got only modest applause from the room of 300 attendees, nearly all of whom were black.

But her appeal for non-white solidarity was backed up by New York Democratic Rep. Yvette Clarke.

“What will happen with comprehensive immigration reform will be a new landscape of humanity in the United States of America,” Clarke told the attendees.

“America is a shape-shifter, and based on who’s here, in what numbers and at what time, determines the political outcomes,” she said. Blacks should cooperate with Latinos, she said, adding “we all have skin in the game, literally.”

The racial appeal was echoed by William Spriggs, chief economist at the AFL-CIO. “If we are going to be the new majority, we’re going to have to start acting like the new majority and start setting the new rules,” he said.

Once Congress approves an immigration increase, minorities should demand more, said Chicago Democratic Rep. Luis Gutierrez, a leading advocate of the pending Senate bill,

“The next day after we pass it, you know we’re not going to be satisfied, we’re going to come back,” he said. “We’re going to have a civil rights act, we’re going to have a voting rights act… Nobody is leaving this fight once we conclude this first chapter,” he said.

“Hopefully, in 30 years, [we] can bring immigrants… from all over the world,” Gutierrez said. [N.S.: Excepting white countries, that is.]

The call for solidarity among non-whites was commingled with some non-racial calls for solidarity of working-class Americans.

African-Americans should not object to gains by immigrants, said Spriggs, who became a union economist after leaving an assistant secretary job at the Obama Department of Labor.

“Somebody else winning doesn’t mean you’re losing,” the economist explained. “We can’t let one set of workers be pushed aside and think we’re going to make it.”

Other attendees complained about immigrants’ refusal to hire African-Americans or to accept civil-rights laws, and the commonplace stealing of Social Security Numbers.

Currently, the formal unemployment rate among African-Americans is 13 percent. However, the formal number understates the level of unemployment. For example, fewer than half of black men aged between 18 and 30 have full-time jobs.

Last June, President Barack Obama bypassed Congress’ opposition to an amnesty for younger illegal immigrants, and has awarded work-permits to almost 500,000 young illegal immigrants.

This July, with support from Obama, the Senate passed an immigration bill that would provide work permits to roughly 33 million immigrants and create a pool of roughly 2 million blue-collar and university-trained guest-workers, over the next decade.

Advocates say increased immigration will spur the economy and fund a bigger government.

But studies of increased immigration suggest the economic gains will go to immigrants and company owners. Some attendees said the caucus should focus more clearly on issues of concern to black Americans.

“We are the last hired and have the last opportunities, yet amnesty supporters would have you think that adding millions more workers at this time is good,” said Leah Durant, founder of the Black American Leadership Alliance. ”When so many Americans of all races are out of work, that is ridiculous,” Durant told TheDaily Caller.

“Blacks as well as other low-skilled workers have made their greatest advances when we have low levels of immigration,” she said. “It is time for black leaders to stand up for blacks.”

A June poll by NumbersUSA, a group which want to shrink immigration, reported that only 15 percent of blacks and 44 percent of Hispanics back the Senate bill’s offer of amnesty to 11 million illegal-immigrants. A July poll conducted for advocates of increased immigration reported that 59 percent of registered Latino voters support a goal of “stopping 90 percent of the undocumented immigration in the future.”

Yet most members of the Congressional Black Caucus have agreed to back the Senate immigration bill.

ACORN’s Lewis mocked the mainstream concerns.

“You had some black folks talk about ‘Those people took my job… [and] I used to be in a big house, but now I ain’t,’” she sneered. Those complaints were “madness,” said Lewis, who works as a political activist with other pro-immigration activists, donors and foundations.

In response, Durant condemned black leaders’ rush for increased immigration, saying “They see political advantage in it for themselves, and they’re selling out the blank community.”

Gutierrez urged African-American and Latino legislators to hide their disagreements from the public.

“We have tough conversations when we lock the room — but we are smart enough to lock the room,” he told the audience. “We keep our arguments to ourselves.”
