Weekend Box Office: Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit – Villains are Christian Russian Terrorists in Dearbornistan – HUH???

In the new “Jack Ryan” movie, terrorists trying to set off a nuclear bomb in America are CHRISTIAN terrorists based in a church in Dearbornistan, Michigan. HUH???
Tom Clancy hated the Hollywood movies based on his books. He said, “Giving your book to Hollywood is like turning your daughter over to a pimp.” And so it goes with “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,” in movie theaters today. The movie, however, is not based on any particular Clancy book, but on the “spirit” of Jack Ryan, the main character in many of Clancy’s thriller novels. But it’s the worst Jack Ryan movie by far–no, by a Grand Canyon-sized chasm. The other Jack Ryan movies were decent. This stank.

It’s not news that Hollywood will do anything to avoid showing Muslims as terrorists. It did that with at least two of Clancy’s works. In his “The Sum of All Fears,” Islamic terrorists detonate a nuclear bomb in the US (at the Super Bowl) to drive the U.S. and the Soviet Union into war with each other. In the movie of the same name, under pressure from the HAMAS unindicted co-conspirator in terrorism, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Muslims were no longer. Instead, they were neo-Nazis. (Director Phil Alden Robinson wrote CAIR, “I hope you will be reassured that I have no intention of promoting negative images of Muslims or Arabs, and I wish you the best in your continuing efforts to combat discrimination.”) In “Act of Valor” (read my review), the terrorist attacking the United States with thousands of homicide bombers is not Muslim, but a Russian Jew. Clancy co-wrote a novel based on “Act of Valor’s” original script, and there was no “Jewish” terrorist, just one who is Russian and implicitly Muslim.
And in today’s “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,” a terrorist cell based in the Muslim capital of America, Dearbornistan, Michigan, is not an Islamic terrorist cell in a mosque, but a Russian terrorist cell based in an Eastern Orthodox church, which aims to detonate a nuclear bomb in America. And the key villain in the movie is a Russian Christian billionaire (we’re shown scenes of the guy in church), played by Kenneth Branagh, who wants the bomb to affect the U.S. stock market and dollar. Are you kidding me–a Russian Eastern Orthodox terrorist cell in Dearbornistan, the city which is majority Muslim, has a Muslim, Hezbollah-supporting City Council President, and Arabs as a majority of its City Council? That’s how far Hollywood is willing to go to avoid portraying terrorists as they usually are in the United States of America: MUSLIMS. There is as much chance of a Russian Eastern Orthodox terrorist cell emerging out of Dearbornistan as there is in Beirut, Riyadh, Tehran, Mogadishu, Minneapolistan, or Cairo.
The Christian-Russians-as-America’s-terrorist-enemies narrative is beyond tiresome. How many Christian Russians have blown up planes, buildings, and other installations in America? Answer: none.

And, aside from the stupidity of the Russian Christian terrorist plot line, the movie is just awful. It gave me a headache. The movie was slow, tiresome, and boring, and made up for that by playing loud “the villain is gonna get ya” music for virtually the entire movie. The movie was also disjointed, confusing, and involved almost no suspense, but for two brief scenes. It was just stupid.
This movie is supposed to be a “prequel” that explains the early years of Jack Ryan, but is really just a reboot, since Ryan’s “early years” take place after his later ones. Chris Pine is fine as Ryan. In fact, he’s pretty good (though he’s no Harrison Ford), but has a terrible script to work with.
Jack Ryan is studying economics in London when 9/11 happens, and he decides to join the Marines. He’s badly injured in Afghanistan, and while rehabbing, Kevin Costner tries to recruit him to join the CIA. After initially resisting, he joins, and ten years later, he is in a job at New York’s financial center, trying to trace financing of terrorism. He’s now married to the American medical student who was his physical therapist (Keira Knightley–whose weird American accent makes her sound like she’s speaking through permanently gnashed teeth). She is a doctor and doesn’t know he’s a CIA agent. Soon, Ryan is in Russia to investigate the Russian billionaire who is financing terrorism and plays a cat and mouse game to avoid being killed and to get secret information of where the money is going. Miraculously and with no evidence pointing to it, he suddenly uncovers a terrorist plot against America involving the ridiculous Russian Eastern Orthodox terrorist cell based in Dearbornistan.
Believe me, I’m making this sound much more interesting than it is. It ain’t. This movie is a confusing mess of a bore.
Skip it, and you’ll have missed nothing, other than the subliminal sounds of Tom Clancy turning over in his grave.
Yet another of his daughters has been turned over to the Hollywood pimps.

Where Is Jeremiah When You Need Him?

The United States needs a speech like that given by the prophet Jeremiah when he stood in the capital city of ancient Judah.



The reviews are in from President George Bush's State of the Union address this week and, as expected, there is a great deal of second guessing and criticism of the war policy in Iraq. That is the nature of politics and a free society. But behind the partisan discussion are larger issues impacting the future course of America and the world.



America has engaged itself in a war in Afghanistan and Iraq. These engagements followed the 9/11 attacks where three thousand Americans lost their lives and the nation was stunned by the reality of the forces of evil arrayed around the world to work against the current world order. Osama bin Laden and the Islamic jihadists have been the face of the enemy these last six years. Terrorist attacks have hit Britain, Spain, Bali and other smaller places during this time, just enough to remind us they are out there and have not gone away.



I have long felt that President Bush had a wake-up call on 9/11 that galvanized his life into one purpose, to protect America from future attacks and to "preserve, protect and defend" his country and all it stands for. You can criticize his policies, his management of the war, his focus, his personality...anything you want about the man and his politics. I am not defending him from any partisan agenda. I just strongly feel that on 9/11 he looked into the abyss and clearly saw the danger to his nation.



I also see that other top leaders here in the United States do not have the same vision and urgency for the grave physical dangers we face. History is repeating itself. Like the 1930s in England, we have voices calling for appeasement and moderation. There is the hope that we can pull within a "fortress America" and disengage from the world and go about our business and return to normal. Let's just all go to Disney World and pretend.



But the U.S. president has not seen far enough. The larger danger facing America is spiritual in nature and can be found in Bible prophecy. America, a nation blessed with wealth and power by the hand of God, has forgotten Him and all He has given. We have trampled His laws and have come to the point where we fight over the public display of the Ten Commandments. The Fourth Commandment, to honor the Sabbath, cannot be found in our materialistic, pleasure-driven culture. Americans have not only forgotten the true God, but we have forgotten who we are as a people and why we occupy a preeminent position in the world.



We look to our exceptionalism, our military power and our economic vitality for trust, confidence and security. We pay lip service to a form of religion, thinking that will be enough to save us, while we tolerate immorality and indecency and export it to the world. The latest Sundance Film Festival in Utah honors films portraying sexual child abuse and bestiality. This so-called "art" is excused in the name of honesty and realism. It is part of our national sins that God will one day call us to account over.

"The word that came to Jeremiah from the L ORD , saying, 'Stand in the gate of the L ORD 's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, "Hear the word of the L ORD , all you of Judah who enter in at these gates to worship the L ORD !"' Thus says the L ORD of hosts, the God of Israel: 'Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Do not trust in these lying words, saying, "The temple of the L ORD , the temple of the L ORD , the temple of the L ORD are these"'" (Jeremiah 7:1-4 [1] The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

[2] Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.

[3] Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

[4] Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these.

Jeremiah goes on to list their national sins, saying God had often sent warnings to repent and return to the true ways, but they insisted in adopting false religion and slipping further into sin. He warns the result will be a national captivity:



"Therefore thus says the Lord G OD : 'Behold, My anger and My fury will be poured out on this place—on man and on beast, on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground. And it will burn and not be quenched'" (verse 20).



Words like this need to be said. But they aren't.

Navy SEALS “Too White,” Seek More Arabs, Muslims – Why Anti-Semitism Was Added to “Act of Valor”

Navy SEALS “Too White,” Seek More Arabs, Muslims – Why Anti-Semitism Was Added to “Act of Valor”

On the one-year anniversary of the Navy SEALs assassination of Osama Bin Laden, the Navy has announced a special effort to recruit Muslims into the SEALS, setting up shop in Dearbornistan.  And DebbieSchlussel.com has learned that this is the major reason that a Navy SEALs movie, “Act of Valor,” had a Jewish villain who planned a major terrorist attack on America and why an starkly anti-Semitic line was added to the script of the movie, which was meant as a SEALs recruitment tool.  In fact, the Navy SEALs has begun a Dearborn Swim program for kids in an effort to recruit Muslim Arabs.


Not long ago, I reviewed the film, “Act of Valor,” on this site and told you how the main villain, a terrorist who tortures and kills CIA agents and smuggles jihadists into the United States, was a Jew–a fact the movie made sure to tell you.  Since then, I had over a dozen conversations with various Pentagon, Navy, SEALs, and movie studio officials, all of whom squirmed out of telling me who approved the line about the terrorist against America being Jewish.  The sleaziest and biggest BS artist of all of them, by the way, is the forever obfuscating and fertilizing Navy Deputy Chief of Information and Public Affairs, Captain Gregory Hicks.  What comes out of his mouth is better for your grass than anything you can buy at Home Depot. His equally cowardly and slimy boss, Admiral Denny Moynihan, refused to respond to phone calls and questions. Yup, that’s who’s “workin’” at the Pentagon.



But one studio official connected with the film did tell me that the movie was made to recruit more Navy SEALs, since the SEALs plan to expand by 20 percent or more in the next few years. I also learned that the line about the Jews was added by a Navy SEALs leader and was not in the original script or the Tom Clancy book connected with it. And, now, the picture is becoming more complete as to why Jew-hatred was added to the Navy SEALs recruitment movie: the Navy SEALs brass feels the elite military unit is “too White” and is making a special effort to recruit Muslim Arabs from Dearbornistan and Blacks (also known for their higher concentration of anti-Semitism). (Note that when you read the article, below, “Arabs” doesn’t mean Christian Arabs. It means Muslims. That’s who lives in Dearborn, and that’s who the Navy SEALs are particularly seeking, while using the “Arab” euphemism.)



The Navy’s special warfare community has grown in size over the past few years but still remains overwhelmingly white. It’s a statistic officials are working hard to change.











Today’s force of SEALs and SWCCs, or special warfare combatant-craft crewmen, is roughly 85 percent white, according to Naval Special Warfare Command in Coronado, Calif. That’s much higher than the Navy overall — which in 2010 was about 64 percent white, according to the Defense Manpower Data Center — and is also out of whack with the cultural environments in which today’s SEALs operate.



That gap remains despite concerted efforts by Naval Special Warfare Command to seek more minority candidates and expand its overall recruiting pitch to get more SEALs and SWCCs to fill the larger force mandated by Congress. But as the community grew in size, the command also beefed up standards and requirements during the 26-week SEAL Qualification Training, causing graduation rates to drop across all ethnicities.



“Where we stand today is, we have more work to do,” said Capt. Duncan Smith, a SEAL who heads Naval Special Warfare Command’s recruiting directorate.



“We absolutely have a need for operational diversity. For us to train with our special operations partner nations, our mission is more easily accomplished if we have people with the cultural and racial identities that allow us to create lasting relationships to better understand our partner forces,” Smith said.



But recent years’ efforts, which included tailoring marketing to minorities and reaching out to historically black colleges and universities, fell flat in attracting more minorities to the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL course and follow-on SQT.



So the command is casting the net wide again, getting outside help to market to minority populations and taking a more coherent look at targeting communities with potential minority candidates — not just blacks.



A recent directive from Rear Adm. Sean Pybus, head of Naval Special Warfare Command, expanded the range of targeted minorities to young men of Asian and Arab descent, as well as Hispanics.



“We are moving the needle, but it is a slow process. It takes time,” Smith said.



Recent efforts to reach more blacks helped to better understand the community, he said.



“We have really learned or developed a template that allows us to better understand … a culture that we may not have been heavily engaged in,” he said. “So we built a road map on how to build trust … and respect in the minority communities.” . . .



And the command won’t ease its tough standards to become a SEAL or SWCC. “We are trying to become more diverse.” . . .



Recruiting and marketing efforts are being stepped up in San Diego and Norfolk, Va., where SEALs and SWCCs have joined in local swim programs geared toward children and young adults, as well as in Detroit and Dearborn, Mich., home to large concentrations of blacks and Arab-Americans. The swim programs provide community service and show that swimming skills can be taught to those who never swam in a pool or in the ocean.



“The swim component of SEAL training and SWCC training across all cultures is one that is a dividing factor,” Smith said, noting those unfamiliar with swimming have the toughest time passing the physical screening test. “We’ve gotten them to increase their performance well beyond our entry standards.



“Our real mission is to make sure the SEAL/SWCC opportunity is open to anyone,” Smith said.



Clearly, it’s open to anyone . . . including and especially the enemy within. And I have a tip for the U.S. Navy: Arabs are White, despite the fact that they constantly whine that they are a separate, distinct race in a false claim of supremacy.



While you might ask what Muslim SEALs would have done with the Bin Laden assassination task, well, the Shi’ites in Dearbornistan are against Sunnis like Bin Laden (even though they frequently work with them against us infidels, especially Jews and Americans). Several Muslim Dearbornistanites bragged about serving “the U.S.” in Iraq, but they were actually serving Shia Islam and its goal to take Iraq from Sunni Saddam Hussein who was the last opposition and bulwark against Iran in the now-liberated (by America) Shi’ite crescent, spanning from Lebanon and Syria to Iran. On the other hand, Shi’ites hate America and the U.S. Army a great deal, and they might have tipped off the Bin Laden family, had they been in the mix.



Either way, most Muslims don’t have what it takes to be in the SEALs. And recruiting Dearbornistan Shi’ites–whose allegiance is to Iran and Hezbollah–is just preposterous.



Think a President Romney would put a stop to it? Dream on. Bush did Islamo-pandering crap like this for eight years. White Obama (Romney) will do the same as Half-White Obama.



We’re screwed because we didn’t demand better. And if ya don’t ask, you don’t get.



The ghost of Bin Laden continues to have the last laugh. And the joke is on us.
