Top 11 Politically Correct Campus Debacles of 2014
 Condom Olympics
  1. UCSB Feminist Studies Professor Attacks Pro-Life Student
In March, a feminist studies professor at University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) assaulted a 16 year-old pro-life activist who was displaying literature on campus.  The professor, Mireille Miller-Young, called the pro-life group members "terrorists" after she stole their poster displaying abortion images and then proceeded to assault one of the student activists.

  1. VT YAF Loses Funding Because of their Conservative Values
In the wake of a standing room only event with conservative activist Bay Buchanan on the topic of immigration, the VT YAF Chapter was informed that they wouldn't be receiving funding for the next two semesters.  Apparently, the discussion on immigration with the former Treasurer of the United States, Bay Buchanan irked some liberal administrators at Virginia Tech.  The Student Budget Board unanimously voted to defund the club because the event "violated the principles of community."

  1. University of Michigan Requires "Race & Ethnicity" Course in Order to Graduate
In 2014 it was discovered that in order to graduate from the University of Michigan a student must first take a course to learn how racist and intolerant the United States is toward minorities and different ethnicities.  The page on the website that describes the requirement states that "all courses satisfying the requirement must provide discussion concerning: the meaning of race, ethnicity, and racism; racial and ethnic intolerance and resulting inequality as it occurs in the United States or elsewhere; and comparisons of discrimination based on race, ethnicity, social class, or gender."

  1. Penn State YAF Asked to Stop Handing out Constitutions on Constitution Day
Penn State Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) activists were tabling for their organization in celebration of Constitution Day-in a designated free speech zone.  After an hour or so of tabling, the YAF activists were approached by campus security personnel who told them to remove their table.  The reasoning was that the students couldn't pass out flyers-even if in a "free speech" zone.

  1. Blood Bucket Challenge: Anti-Semitism on Ohio University Campus
In September the Ohio University student senate president took it upon herself to change up the ice-bucket challenge.  Instead she issues a "blood bucket" challenge calling upon Ohio University to divest from Israel.  She posted a video of herself wearing a bright pink shirt with the words "divest from Israel" and poured a "blood-like" substance over her head.  She said he video was mean to raise awareness of the Palestinians being killed by Israel.

  1. University Responses to Ferguson Protests
As a result of the Ferguson decision we have seen numerous campuses involve themselves in protests and demonstrations.  For example, Penn State held two days of "die-ins" with the President of the University posing with students with his hands up.  At Smith College, the college president was harshly criticized for stating that "all lives matter."  Then, Harvard Law, Columbia Law, and Georgetown Law students decided to petition for their final exams to be delayed because they were too busy protesting the decision to have time to study.

  1. George Washington University Pro-Life Display Vandalized
In April, the George Washington University YAF Chapter was the victim of liberal intolerance.  The YAF Chapter places crosses into the grass on the mid-campus quad in memory of the lives lost due to abortion.  The students reserved space for the day and had proper permission from the university.  Early in the morning someone vandalized their sign that read, "In memory of the lives lost each year by abortion" to make it read, "In memory of the lives saved each year by abortion."  By noon, the signs and crosses had been strewn into various trashcans.

  1. Condom Olympics at University of Virginia
This March the University of Virginia hosted its first annual "Condom Olympics" a "festival" of "free food, free games, free prizes, free condoms, free lube, and free online coupons" that guaranteed "information about proper condom use, safe and effective forms of birth control, STI testing, screening, and prevention, sex facts and trivia."

  1. Scripps College Revokes George Will's Speaking Invitation
Scripps College created a speaker series program designed to promote conservative opinion on campus-but Pulitzer-prize winning columnist George Will was uninvited from his speaking engagement solely because of his conservative values.  Ironic huh?

  1.  Denver Students Protest a "Conservative" Curriculum
In September hundreds of high school students in the Denver area stormed out of their classrooms in protest to a proposed curriculum change from the school board that would teach history in a way that promotes citizenship and patriotism.  Students were under the belief that somehow American history would be "censored" if this new curriculum were taught.

  1.  Rutgers Faculty Protest University's Invitation to Condoleezza Rice
The Rutgers Board of Governors unanimously invited Conodleezza Rice to be the 2014 commencement speaker.  Well critics at Rutgers believe that Dr. Rice's being a conservative and former member of the George W. Bush administration effectively disqualified her from addressing the commencement ceremony.  According to the faculty council resolution, which passed in opposition to Dr. Rice's invitation, "A Commencement speaker…should embody moral authority and exemplary citizenship."  Apparently, Dr. Rice failed on both of these accounts and was said to bring "no positive merit."

HUH?! Muslim New Jersey Councilman Says US City is “Part of Palestine”; Palestinian Flag Raised Over NJ City by Muslim Charged w Violence

A very interesting post from www.debbieschlussel.com about the Muslim takeover of a city in New Jersey. This follows this post about the U.S. condemning Nigeria for attacking Boko Haram. This follows this article about American energy independence and preventing money from going to hostile countries. HUH?! Muslim New Jersey Councilman Says US City is “Part of Palestine”; Palestinian Flag Raised Over NJ City by Muslim Charged w Violence

By Debbie Schlussel
A Muslim City Councilman in Chris Chrispiecreme’s favorite city, Paterson, New Jersey, declared that the American city is “part of Palestine,” while other Muslims and the city’s mayor raised the Palestinian flag over the city to protest Israel’s existence on Sunday.
palestinianflagpaterson

Last year, I told you about Paterson’s mayor raising the Palestinian flag, and this year, the city did it again, with its several Muslim elected officials declaring that the the flag was raised to commemorate the “Nakba”–Arabic for the “catastrophe,” which is how they describe Israel’s existence. Not the West Bank or Gaza, but ALL of Israel. This is no different than calling for the erasing of Israel and Jews from the earth. Same thing.
As I noted, last year, and in many previous posts on this site over the years, Paterson is the American city with the highest concentration of Palestinians. The city, the site of many pro-9/11 cheers and riots on the day of the attacks, also has a number of other Muslims who have grown to dominate the city’s demographics and elections. It is ground zero (just as Dearbornistan, Michigan and a growing number of other American cities are) for what happens when we do nothing to stop Islamic immigration. They take over and embrace the radical chic of terrorists. Chris Christie has repeatedly “reached out” and campaigned to Paterson’s extremist Muslims, even sparing a HAMAS terrorist from deportation and appointing his extremist Paterson HAMASnik Muslim lawyer to a judgeship. Notice that Gov. Chrispiecreme did not denounce the Palestinian flag raising and declarations against Israel’s existence, last year, and he didn’t this year, either. He never will.
Mohammed Akhtaruzzaman, one of the Muslim city councilman at the flag raising, faced two separate criminal charges last year for inciting mob violence against three other Muslims. Like I always say, you can take ‘em out of the Muslim world, but you can’t take Muslim world values of violence and destruction out of them.
For the second year in a row, Palestinians gathered at City Hall in Paterson on Sunday to raise their flag. . . . The Palestinian national anthem played and a crowd of about 200 cheered as Mayor Jeffery Jones hoisted the red, black, white and green flag. A local tradition had been born . . . . We can assure you we will not get tired,” said Somaia Barghougt, Palestine’s senior adviser to the United Nations, “until Palestine is a free, independent and democratic state.”
Hmmm . . . ever look at the lyrics of the Palestinian National Anthem? It’s called “Fedayee,” which–while it literally translates to “redeemer,” “resistor,” or “revolutionary”–is actually a reference to Palestinian Muslim terrorists, who are, plural, “Fedayeen,” and singular, “Fedayee.” In Islam, a “fedayee” or “fada’i” is one who is willing to sacrifice his life for the Islamic cause. Here’s a taste of the “anthem”:
Fedayee, Fedayee Fedayee [Palestinian terrorist, Palestinian terrorist, Palestinian terrorist]
My people, people of eternity
With my determination, my fire and the volcano of my vendetta . . . .
With the resolve of the winds and the fire of the weapons
And the determination of my nation in the land of struggle
Palestine is my home, Palestine is my fire,
Palestine is my vendetta and the land of withstanding . . .
By my land and nation, and the fire of pain
I will live as a Fedayee [Palestinian terrorist], I will remain a redeemer,
I will die as a Fedayee [Palestinian terrorist] – until my country returns
Fedayee [Palestinian terrorist].
Charming national anthem stuff, right?
Back to the terrorist flag-raising:
The flag-raising was sponsored by the Paterson-based Arab American Civic Organization and coincided with Nakba Day, which Palestinians observe each May 15. . . . Several speakers compared the struggle for Palestinian statehood to that of America’s war for independence from Britain. “Our Founding Fathers sacrificed so much for the Stars and Stripes and it behooves us all to recognize that by standing and supporting nations who long for freedom and independence,” said Khader “Ken” Abuassab, vice president of the Arab American Civic Organization. “Washington, Lincoln, FDR, Eisenhower and Kennedy all stood by people who need American help and guidance. Mayor Jones, by raising the Palestinian flag today at City Hall, you are honoring a great American tradition and you are following in the footsteps of the Founding Fathers.”
Hmmm . . . how many schoolbuses filled with children, how many bars and pizza joints and hotels filled with innocent civilians did the Founding Fathers, Washington, Lincoln, FDR, Eisenhower, and Kennedy blow up? How many people did they rip apart alive? How many families did they murder, including six-month-old babies, while the families were sleeping on a religious holiday?
“We are glad you are Patersonians,” Jones said. “We are glad you are part of the city.” . . . Lauren Murphy, the wife of Passaic County and state Democratic Chairman John Currie, stood alongside Paterson City Council President Andre Sayegh, who finished second in Tuesday’s mayoral election. Also present were Paterson city Councilman Mohammed Akhtaruzzaman and Maritza Davila, who was elected to the City Council on Tuesday.
“South Paterson is a major piece of Palestine,” said Sayegh, who represents the city’s heavily Arabic 6th Ward. “We are a better Paterson because of Palestinians.”
Well, as I pointed out, Palestinians are already calling Brooklyn, “West Bank Brooklyn,” and in a few generations, America will know what it feels like to have Muslim interloper terrorists taking over through force and through immigration and birth jihads.
Today, Paterson, tomorrow your town, because politicians like George W. Bush and Barack Obama used the 9/11 attacks to reward Muslims with more invasion . . . er, “immigration” and appeasement.
Good luck with that. In a few generations, our President will be in the same position as Goodluck Jonathan. And, given 9/11, we’ve already been there, done that. Yay, America.

Update: Rutgers Faculty Protest Condoleezza Rice but not Nancy Pelosi

An interesting article from www.yaf.org about Rutgers allowing a Liberal speaker, but not a conservative one. This follows this post about the Liberal March Madness Sweet Sixteen, referenced from www.yaf.org. This follows this post about last year's Liberal March Madness Sweet Sixteen about Spring Break warnings and this post about the anniversary of Hillary Clinton's reset button with the Russians.  You can follow me at blogspot here and at twitter here https://twitter.com/brianleesblog. RicePelosiA few days ago, we mentioned in a post that some faculty members at Rutgers University at New Brunswick are protesting their school's invitation of former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for the commencement address.
A resolution passed by the Faculty Council claims that, as a member of the George W. Bush administration, Dr. Rice "played a prominent role" in the effort to mislead Americans "about the presence of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) in Iraq and the existence of links between al Qaeda and the Iraqi regime.
In other words, these faculty members are demanding that Rutgers rescind its invitation to Dr. Rice because they believe that, among other things, she: 1. Lied about Iraq's possessing WMDs, and 2. Lied about the relationship between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein's regime.
Let us then examine these two points through the record of Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, who has been invited by the Eagleton Institute at Rutgers for an event on March 24 about women and public policy.
In 1998--following President Bill Clinton's authorization of a bombing campaign against Iraq to destroy the country's biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons facilities--Pelosi proclaimed, "Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." In 2002, well after the Bush administration began discussing the possibility of war with Iraq, she stated on NBC's Meet the Press, "Yes, he has chemical weapons, he has biological weapons, he is trying to get nuclear weapons...Saddam Hussein certainly has chemical and biological weapons. There's no question about that."
Regarding al Qaeda's relationship with Iraq, Pelosi went on the record in 2004 to agree with the Bush administration that the terror network of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi--at the time, the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq--"used Baghdad as a base of operations to coordinate the movement of people, money and supplies." She ultimately agreed--indeed, argued--that the Iraq War was "part of the ongoing global war on terrorism." In other words, according to Pelosi, al Qaeda and Iraq were most certainly related.
The group of faculty members protesting Dr. Rice's invitation has not demanded with the same fury the Eagleton Institute's rescission of Congresswoman Pelosi's invitation. However, if these academics' convictions dictate that Dr. Rice lied, then they must logically dictate that Pelosi did the same. One is forced to wonder whether this double standard is a function of ignorance or bias. Neither is acceptable.
