TX - Border Patrol Flies 100 Illegal Aliens to El Paso Due to Influx

Breitbart Texas has learned that due to an influx of illegal immigrants attempting to enter the U.S. through the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) sector, 100 of them were transported by plane to El Paso for processing. The flight allegedly left on May 7 and was part of an effort to expedite the processing of thousands of immigrants.

RGV Border Patrol spokesman Daniel Tirado told Breitbart Texas that his sector is overwhelmed with the number of illegal immigrants that currently need to be processed. He added that this is the first time his sector has sent out a plane full for the purpose for processing--the cost to taxpayers is unknown at this time.

"I think what's important right now is not the cost [to taxpayers], but the fact that we're utilizing all the resources available to us to expedite the process," Tirado said. "It's important to note that only adult males were transported in the plane. We're not breaking up family units. These are pre-selected adult males with no medical conditions and no special needs. They don't have any family ties in the U.S. that we know of."

Tirado added, "We're catching an average of 1,000 per day and our agents are processing them around the clock. Processing takes between one to two hours per individual--it varies case by case."

According to Associated Press, The RGV sector has arrested more than 130,000 people for immigration violations since October 1--this marks a 67 percent increase from last year.

"We don't know exactly why there has been an influx of people," Tirado said. "People are coming to look for a better life. Often the immigrants are victims of smugglers, who lie and tell them that if they come to the U.S. they'll have a quick way to make money. Smugglers make lots of money off of these people. Another factor to consider is that South Texas is the shortest point of travel from Central America to the U.S. We have more foreign nationals coming from places other than Mexico than ever."

Louis Bustamante, a spokesman for the Border Patrol's El Paso sector, told Breitbart Texas that once the immigrants arrive, they will be provided with housing, clothing, and food.

"We are going to be supporting and helping out with the processing of immigrants from the South Texas sector. Once we process them, they will then be taken custody by ICE," Bustamante said.

Sylvia Longmire, Breitbart Texas' border expert and contributing editor, said, "This story is a prime example of how the current border security strategy in the Rio Grande Valley is not working. The fence in south Texas has been built in sections, but many gates are missing due to budget shortfalls and leave the barrier wide open for both illegal immigrants and drug smugglers to pass." Longmire added, "However, the main driver behind this surge in immigrants is the deteriorating security and economic conditions in these countries. Honduras is considered the most violent country in Latin America, and the Honduran city of San Pedro Sula is the most dangerous in the entire world due to widespread gang violence. Guatemala is overrun with organized crime and Mexican cartels, and El Salvador is in the midst of a gang war."

Longmire said that all these factors combine to make the Valley the hottest spot right now for illegal crossings by Central Americans. She added, "As Breitbart Texas recently reported, CBP recently dispatched an additional 500 Border Patrol agents from around the country to bolster the agency's presence in south Texas, and if they're already in place, that may also be why apprehensions have risen so dramatically."

Last month, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala) took President Obama to task over the White House's most recent order for a review of current immigration enforcement policies, in order to actually further weaken enforcement efforts.

Between this administration's 'Executive Order DREAM Act,' releasing criminal aliens back into our communities and signing-up illegal aliens for Obamacare, the illegal alien has never found a better friend in this country than he has in Obama.

In response to Obama's lawlessness on behalf of those here illegally, Sen. Sessions has released a list of 71 executive actions and outright lies this administration has put forth, not for the protection of the American people, but solely for illegal aliens.

A few examples taken directly from that list follow:

-January 2009: Obama Administration Ends Worksite Enforcement Actions

In early 2009, U.S.Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) executed a raid (initiated and planned under the Bush administration) on an engine machine shop in Bellingham, Washington, detaining 28 illegal immigrants who were using fake Social Security numbers and identity documents. Shortly thereafter, pro-*amnesty groups criticized the Administration for enforcing the law. An unnamed DHS official was quoted in the Washington Times as saying, “the Secretary is not happy about it and this is not her policy.

Instead of enforcing the law, the Secretary investigated the ICE agents for simply doing their duty. Esther Olavarria, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, said on a call with employers and pro*‐amnesty groups that "we’re not doing raids or audits under this administration"

-December 2010 Internal ICE Emails Reveal Padded Deportation Statistics

On October 8, 2010, Secretary Napolitano and ICE Director Morton announced that in 2010 ICE had "removed more illegal aliens than in any other period in the history of our nation." On December 6, 2010, however, the Washington Post reported that internal ICE emails revealed ICE had padded its deportation statistics by including 19,422 removals that were from the previous fiscal year.

The article also described how ICE extended a Mexican repatriation program beyond its normal operation dates, adding 6,500 to the final removal numbers.

-August 1, 2011: Obama Administration Sues Alabama over Immigration Enforcement Law

The Obama Administration filed a lawsuit to block implementation of Alabama’s immigration enforcement law, which authorizes state law enforcement to act when they reasonably suspect individuals are violating federal immigration laws.

-September 28, 2011: Obama Admits Deportation Statistics Are "Deceptive"

At a roundtable with amnesty advocates, President Obama admitted that his deportation
statistics were misleading: "The statistics are actually a little deceptive because what we’ve been doing is...apprehending folks at the borders and sending them back. That is counted as a deportation, even though they may have only been held for a day or 48 hours."

-February 7, 2012: New ICE Public Advocate for Illegal Immigrants

ICE announced the creation of the ICE Public Advocate, who is to serve as a point of contact for aliens in removal proceedings, community and advocacy groups, and others who have concerns, questions, recommendations, or other issues they would like to raise about the Administration’s executive enforcement and amnesty efforts.

-December 21, 2012: Morton Administrative Amnesty Memo #4

The Friday before the Christmas holiday, ICE Director Morton issued a fourth memo with
guidance on implementing administrative amnesty and stating that ICE agents could no longer detain illegal immigrants if the only violation of the law was being in the country illegally. ICE agents could now detain only those who have committed a crime independent of their illegal status.

-February 2013: Obama Administration Uses Sequester as Excuse To Release More Than 2,000 Illegal Immigrants from ICE Custody

After reports surfaced that ICE had been releasing illegal immigrants in ICE custody due to the sequester, ICE Director Morton testified before the House Judiciary Committee that ICE had, n fact, released 2,228 illegal immigrant detainees, at least 629 of whom had criminal records, contradicting earlier statements by DHS officials.

Morton also admitted that ICE had rearrested and brought back four of the most dangerous released detainees. According to the Associated Press, more 2,000 had been released before the sequester even took effect and the Administration planned to release 3,000 more.

If only President Obama worked on behalf of the American people as hard as he does for those who have no respect for this country, nor our laws...

Of course, that last line pretty much describes our current president as well.

Unlike illegal aliens, every U.S. citizen is suffering from taxation without representation.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is sending a demand for information to the Department of Homeland Security, asking for an accounting of approximately how many American citizens have been killed or physically injured in any way by the 68,0000 criminal illegal immigrants the Obama administration has recently released back onto US streets in violation of numerous existing Federal laws designed to protect the public.

Breitbart News reports that a new Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) report indicates that the Obama administration is only deporting a small fraction of the illegal immigrants turned over to them by local police jurisdictions, which detain illegal aliens caught committing further non traffic crimes both misdemeanors and felonies. While the Department of Homeland Security flags these illegals or takes custody, they then release many of them back on US streets where they continue their criminal acts.

"Obviously many of these illegal alien criminals, which Obama is releasing in contradiction to many federal laws passed by members of Congress which we elected, have gone on to kill and injure many American citizens who would otherwise be alive and well if our government did its job!" exclaimed William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "We are sending a letter today demanding to know how many Americans are being killed and injured due to politicians in the Obama administration violating our laws and Constitution and their oaths of office."

ALIPAC is sending letters demanding this information while at the same time encouraging the group's national supporters to contact their increasingly meaningless members of Congress to demand answers and numbers.

If DHS does not provide the information requested, ALIPAC intends to pursue a Freedom of Information or FOIA Request to obtain the number of Americans being killed or injured directly by Obama's released illegal alien criminals unless another group like CIS or Judicial Watch can obtain the information first.

Illegal immigration and illegal immigrants hurt Americans in many ways including through job displacement, wage depreciation, and lost and degraded public services and taxpayer resources. Less subtle damages occur when illegal immigrants kill and injure thousands of American citizens each year who would be otherwise unharmed if America's existing border and immigration laws were adequately enforced.

"We now have a Constitutional crisis in America where politicians in DC have taken America outside of Constitutional governance and are ignoring our existing laws just like illegal immigrants!" said William Gheen. House Democrats and a few Republicans-In-Name-Only have launched an amnesty sneak attack on us all. They've just announced a Discharge Petition on HR 15, an amnesty bill that is almost a word-for-word copy of the "Gang of Eight" bill that passed in the Senate.

Under the Hastert Rule in the House, a bill can only proceed to the House floor for a vote if a majority of the majority party supports the bill. However, if a majority of Representatives sign a so-called Discharge Petition -- in this case, every Democrat and a handful of Republicans -- that bill is "discharged from its Committee assignment. If the Democrats can gather enough Republican signatures today or tomorrow, the amnesty bill will pass! This is about to happen with the amnesty bill unless every single one of us speaks up now!

I cannot stress to you how dangerously close we are to losing our country right now!
This Discharge Petition has 200 signatures already, including 3 Republican signatures.
The Democrats only need to convince 18 House Republicans to sign the Discharge Petition and then HR 15 will pass in the House!

However, we recommend that you contact the entire House Republican Caucus and urge them to reject the Discharge Petition.  There are 170 House Republicans who, to this date, have never stated whether they are FOR or AGAINST amnesty for illegal aliens.

House Speaker John Boehner, who openly supports amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens, has stated that amnesty has "no chance" of passing the House this year.
We knew that this was a lie.
We knew that Boehner was saying this to lull all pro-American opposition groups to sleep.
The pro-amnesty crowd has been biding their time, gathering signatures and promises, and waiting for the opportunity to strike.
That time is now.
If you "love your neighbor as yourself," as Jesus commands us to do in Matthew 22:39, you must take action on this today.
Amnesty for illegal aliens who have broken our laws is not "loving your neighbor." It is an act of hatred against the American Republic.

This week, House Democrats will start a drive to collect signatures for a discharge petition to force movement on their amnesty legislation, H.R. 15. If more than half of the members of the House of Representatives sign the petition, the Speaker of the House must allow a floor vote of the legislation.
Please send a fax to your Democratic U.S. Representative and urge him/her not to sign the discharge petition and tell him/her why the legislation is bad.

• give legal status and work permits to millions of illegal aliens without requiring any new border security provisions

In one of my earlier posts one employee was fired from her job and another was suspended from school for wanting their co-workers and co-students to speak English. Of course these events happened in the border states of Texas and Arizona, respectively. And, yes, the main reason other language are spoken in the U.S. are to intimidate and bully English speakers!


Consider this yourself though. Are you doing all you can to slow immigration down to give immigrants time to assimilate. Personally, I think it should be stopped for a LOOONG TIME. However, a modest proposal would be that no nation can send immigrants to the U.S. until the existing immigrants from that nation prove to the rest of us that both the current and future immigrants from that nation will speak English in public!


However, are you campaigning for immigration restriction? Are you campaigning for English language usage? Have you contacted not only your two Senators and representative, but also your state and local representatives? Are you campaigning to replace the ones who will not enforce existing immigration laws which is THE definition of amnesty?


Finally, what are you doing to limit the executive branch's unconstitutional use of Executive Orders. It was not in a conspiratorial corner, but rather in the most public event of the State of the Union, where the U.S. president said he will use his "Executive Pen" to get around any political opponents.


Congratulations to those of you who are doing all you can. Try and convince others to do the same!

Border Patrol Union: ACLU Trying to ‘Limit Effectiveness’ of Border Patrol

The El Paso Times gave near carte blanche to the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) Texas chapter in their efforts to attack the men and women who serve along the dangerous U.S./Mexico border in an article titled, “ACLU of Texas: Border Patrol, CBP Need More Scrutiny” on March 14, 2014.

Teri Burke, the executive director of the ACLU Texas was trumpeted by the El Paso Times article, "We believe somebody really needs to put their feet to the fire," said Terri Burke, executive director of the organization.” The left-leaning paper quoted Burke further as stating, "If your local police department had shot and killed 22 people, you would be asking question.”

The El Paso Times’ writer, Daniel Borunda, then wrote, “The U.S. Border Patrol is under scrutiny by immigrant and civil-rights groups regarding deadly shootings in response to rock throwing on the Mexican border.”

The article from the El Paso Times could easily be dismissed as simply being skewed against Border Patrol agents. However, a look into the context their article exists within reveals it to play a role in a larger effort to attack Border Patrol readiness and effectiveness with half-truths.

I contacted the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) for Breitbart Texas and spoke with NBPC Vice President Shawn Moran. He stated, “We did research and found the most comparable group to the U.S. Border Patrol in terms of numbers is the LAPD and the LA County Sheriff’s Department. We are actually slightly larger than those two agencies.” He added, “In 2012, they shot and killed 48 people, compared to our 22—but we had many more arrests than they did.”

Vice President Moran said that the U.S. Border Patrol having higher arrest numbers, while fewer incidents of having to use deadly force than the comparable agencies in the Los Angeles area, demonstrated that the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol “use force in a very controlled manner.”

“This is a political attack by special interests groups and the ACLU to limit the effectiveness of Border Patrol. The ACLU is going after low hanging fruit, they’ve seen the agency back down in the past,” said Vice President Moran.

“We are concerned that all of this political criteria is going to make agents hesitate and second guess themselves when they are in a situation where they need to defend themselves—this could absolutely lead to a loss of life for US law enforcement,” said Vice President Moran.

I have written extensively on efforts by left-of-center advocacy groups connected to the ACLU that would ultimately lead to Border Patrol agents being incapable of protecting the U.S. border with Mexico. In a November 6, 2013 article titled, “Border Patrol Agents Retain Right to Defend Themselves,” I outlined the overall strategy by the ACLU and other groups in attacking the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol. I wrote:

The ACLU, along with the academics and previously politically-appointed law enforcement brass from the nonprofit Police Executive Research Forum, sought to prevent the U.S. Border Patrol and their parent agency, Customs and Border Protection (CBP), from using deadly force in response to rock attacks and suspects using vehicles to attack agents.

In that case, as in this matter, an argument was being framed under the guise of insisting the Border Patrol should “live up to the same standards larger, metropolitan police forces must meet.” Larger forces in metropolitan areas operate under very different circumstances, a fact the ACLU and their allies did not acknowledge in their ongoing media blitz against the Border Patrol. City law enforcement has backup nearby, can radio for help that soon arrives, and do not operate in remote areas. Border Patrol agents are often alone in remote regions, their radios often do not work due to communications infrastructure, and backup is usually unable to arrive quickly—even if their radios did work. By defining the differing protocol between agencies as “standards” and falsely insisting that Border Patrol agents were substandard by having much needed, though different, guidelines and protocols, the ACLU and their allies sought to turn public opinion against border law enforcement.

The likely result of reducing Border Patrol agents’ ability to respond to deadly attacks with deadly force would have been an ever increasing series of gaps in the U.S./Mexico border. Why would a solitary Border Patrol agent venture out into remote regions where his/her radio did not work—where backup could not be called upon—if the agent were left unable to use deadly force in self-defense? The simple truth is that Border Patrol agents would no longer go to those regions. They would be left wide open—even more so than they are already—with coyotes, cartel-led drug and human traffickers, and any other person desiring to enter into the U.S. illegally knowing there would exist regions with zero presence of U.S. law enforcement personnel. In the rare event that a Border Patrol agent were present, such criminal elements would know to attack with rocks and boulders and that the Border Patrol agent would be left defenseless.

Over the past week, the president has sent a budget which allows Russia and China free reign to do what they want in their neighborhoods and this could allow either or both of them together to become a dominant enough world threat to dominate Eurasia, and from there, the U.S.


On the other hand, the president, who already admitted that  his deportations included mostly those caught at the border, has now said that he will eliminate even these deportations, which in effect, has erased the borders of the U.S.

The past week showed the extreme Black racism of the current administration. The  first of the two main events were the attempted appointment of cop-killer defense attorney Debo Adegbile to head the Civil Rights division of the Justice Department which even some of the president's fellow Democrats opposed, and the second was the beginning of "My Brother's Keeper" which is a flagrant anti-white program designed for that very purpose.


These are in addition to the president refusing to enforce immigration laws and yet having the audacity to be called "Deporter in Chief!" as Mexico and the Palestinians meddle in U.S. affairs!

The 'Deporter in Chief' backed into a corner by his own 'deceptive' statistics

For years the Obama administration has used creative accounting and selective deportation statistics to boost the president's image as an executive dedicated to enforcing Congress' immigration laws. The claim is that Obama had a stronger deportation record than his predecessors. The tactic is part of a strategy to convince the enforcement-first crowd that illegal immigration is a thing of the past and the goal is to pave the way for a mass legalization and doubling of immigration. Five years later, however, the only people convinced by Obama's "record deportations" claim are immigration reporters and anti-enforcement advocates who are now using it to criticize him in the run-up to the midterm elections.

Obama has actually done more than any president in decades to limit deportations for people who successfully cross the border illegally or violate the terms of their visas. Deportations from the interior (what most people think of when they hear "deportation") have declined by 40 percent since Obama took office. Total deportations (both interior and border removals and returns) are well behind the pace of the Clinton and Bush administrations.

The Department of Homeland Security's Yearbook of Immigration Statistics publishes a table of total deportations titled "Aliens Removed or Returned: Fiscal Years 1892 to 2012" and defines "removals" and "returns" like this:

• "Removals are the compulsory and confirmed movement of an inadmissible or deportable alien out of the United States based on an order of removal. An alien who is removed has administrative or criminal consequences placed on subsequent reentry owing to the fact of the removal."
• "Returns are the confirmed movement of an inadmissible or deportable alien out of the United States not based on an order of removal."

To make it's "record deportations" claim, the administration takes cases that would have previously been counted as "returns" and counts them as "removals." Then, they compare only their removals to the number of removals under previous administrations. Separately, they point to the lower number of returns as evidence that the border is "more secure than ever." The strategy is ingenious: (1) claim "record deportations" while actually reducing them; (2) Get the media to repeat the claim so often that even skeptics accept it as fact; and (3) Use the conventional wisdom to provide enough political cover to pass an amnesty for all of the people you implied you were deporting.

President Obama should be a hero to open-border activists! Yet according to Politico, National Council of La Raza President Janet Murguia has joined other anti-deportation advocates in calling Obama "The Deporter in Chief."

Whaaat? Didn't they get the memo?

Obama has tried to clarify his administration's deportation rhetoric with select audiences since at least 2011 when, according to the Washington Times, Obama told a roundtable of Hispanic reporters:

"The statistics are actually a little deceptive because what we’ve been doing is, with the stronger border enforcement, we’ve been apprehending folks at the borders and sending them back. That is counted as a deportation, even though they may have only been held for a day or 48 hours, sent back -- that’s counted as a deportation."

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirms Obama's explanation. In Fiscal Year 2013, nearly two-thirds of removals were "individuals apprehended along our borders while attempting to unlawfully enter the U.S." Further analysis of government statistics by Jessica Vaughan of the Center for Immigration studies found that more than half of all removals under Obama are people caught at the border and briefly put in ICE custody before being returned to their countries.

Obama privately calls his own administration's statistics "a little deceptive." The statistics demonstrate why. But immigration reporters repeat the White House's cherry-picked and inflated statistics and groups like the National Council of La Raza use them to criticize President Obama.

Obama's gambit hasn't paid off.*** People who give him credit for his actual deportation record aren't happy with him, and neither are those who fall for his deception.

***Or maybe it has. Obama may exploit the criticism from the anti-enforcement advocates and use that to push through another administrative amnesty (or threaten House Republicans with one). As long as reporters keep his creative accounting under wraps, the "Deporter in Chief" can spin his new title any way he likes.
