www.LouDobbsForPresident.org

This is an update from www.alipac.us about a possible candidate for either Senate or President. This follows up a shooting at Lou Dobbs house here to continually follow sories like this, sign up here.

Friends of ALIPAC,
I just received a call from a Fox News reporter who was interested in our website www.LouDobbsForPresident.org The world may be coming to see this site soon so you might want to visit and show your support.
She has informed me that during a radio interview this morning Lou Dobbs announced that his team is looking into a possible run for President or US Senate. If Lou Dobbs were to run for US Senate in his home state of New Jersey, it would be against US Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ). Menendez is the chief fundraiser for Senate Democrats in the country and a former mayor of Union City.
Robert Menendez gets an F- on immigration issues from our friends at NumbersUSA on their site www.BetterImmigration.com. Check out his terrible record there!http://grades.betterimmigration.com/testgrades.php3?District=NJ&VIPID=547

For those of you who are new to ALIPAC's e-mail alerts, we launched a fan website for Lou Dobbs in 2008 after John McCain won the Republican primary and become the GOP nominee for President.
ALIPAC supporters were horrified by McCain's win because John McCain became the GOP's most notorious supporter of Amnesty for illegal aliens when he worked hand in hand with Ted Kennedy to try and pass Amnesty bills in 2006 and 2007.
Since both McCain and Obama had the exact same anti-American stances on immigration issues and both were supporting the exact same Globalist amnesty legislation, we called on Lou Dobbs to run for President. We figured that even if Lou did not run he could use the support since he was under heavy attack for standing up and speaking out against illegal immigration.
In fact, we predicted the likely outcome for Lou Dobbs if he did not run for President in 2008 to provide voters with a candidate who stood with them against illegal immigration. You can see on our website in our open letter to Mr. Dobbs from Feb. 20, 2008 where it asks...
"How long do you expect to retain your current pulpit should we fail to restore citizen control of our government, Mr. Dobbs?"http://www.loudobbsforpresident.org/message_to_lou_dobbs/index.shtml

We are moving today to touch up, update, and revamp our Lou Dobbs fan site due to the new attention it is about to receive.
Lou Dobbs needs all the support we can give him right now.
If Lou Dobbs were to announce a run for President or US Senate it woul demoralize our opposition groups such as La Raza and MALDEF. Mr. Dobbs would again be in a position where he could influence the national debate about illegal immigration, Globalism, and the US Economy. A Lou Dobbs for President campaign would also decrease the chances that Amnesty for illegal aliens could pass and would increase the chances that states would pass more enforcement legislation. Who knows, perhaps even Obama would increase immigration enforcement measures with Lou Dobbs coming after him in 2012. Dobbs could easily clobber Menedez in 2012 in NJ with a well organized and well financed campaign.
A Lou Dobbs run for President would re-energize the immigration enforcement movement and provide new hope to Americans that feel trapped by these sellouts in Washington.
Please take some time to explore our site and consider supporting Lou Dobbs.
If you would like to post a message to Lou Dobbs, or sign up and pledge to contribute to his campaign financially if he decides to run for President or US Senate, then please fill out the form on the homepage.
Each person who signs up increases the number of supporters listed and the amount of money pledged to Lou Dobbs if he runs. If Lou Dobbs officially announces a run for President or US Senate we will provide your names and pledge amounts to him as a campaign gift of support so they may contact you to gather your donations.
This week, the media will be looking at our Lou Dobbs for President website closely and they will be watching the number of supporters who have signed up and the total amount of funds pledged to Mr. Dobbs if he runs.
Please explore our site, pledge your support, and share this link with others quickly.

Brown vs. Black—vs. America

An interesting post from Steve Sailer of http://www.vdare.com/ about relations in America and you can continue to get interesting posts like this by subscribing here.

Brown vs. Black—vs. America

California lawyer Nicolas C. Vaca got his start as an ethnic activist by listening to Malcolm X lecture at Berkeley in 1963.But by the end of the 1960s, Vaca had discovered that, in the civil rights struggle, all minorities are equal, but one minority is more equal than others:"Before arriving in Washington I expected to encounter other Mexican Americans at the [U.S. Commission on Civil Rights], but I discovered that I, a summer intern, was the highest ranking Mexican American there."Eventually, more Latinos elbowed their way into the lucrative business of being professional minorities. But they found that the dominant blacks weren't willing to allow them places at the table in proportion to their burgeoning numbers.Vaca became fascinated by how the black-Latino political conflicts that he saw all around him were swept under the rug in the media:"For years I discussed these issues with close friends and fellow attorneys—Anglo, Latino, and Black—as I waited for a book to appear that would address the conflict or at least go beyond pat analyses like 'Interethnic conflict can exist, but it is believed that there is more of a basis for cooperation than there is for conflict'—and then drop the subject."He eventually realized he would have to write the book himself. So he has: The Presumed Alliance: The Unspoken Conflict Between Latinos and Blacks and What It Means for America.Vaca recounts some fairly well-known tales: for example, how in Los Angeles in 2001, South Central blacks teamed up with San Fernando Valley white conservatives to defeat Antonio Villaraigosa's bid to become the first Mexican mayor since LA was a dusty pueblo. He also gives the once-over to the convoluted story of how Fernando Ferrer's attempt to win the 2001 Democratic mayoral primary in New York City with a Latino-black coalition foundered upon his protracted and frustrating courtship of Al Sharpton.More interesting are the fresher stories—about how baldly Hispanics in Miami disdain blacks; and how dismissively the black ruling class in Compton, just outside of L.A., treats that suburb's Chicano majority. As the refuge for Batista Cuba's upper and middle class, Miami has the best-organized, wealthiest (and whitest) Latino community in the U.S. In contrast, it may have the most degraded African-Americans. In both 1982 and 1989, Latin American immigrant policemen shot African-American citizens under suspicious circumstances, triggering major black riots.Florida blacks with anything on the ball quickly wise up and head for Atlanta, where the white business class is a lot easier to shake down. (Vaca, however, points out that even in Georgia there are expected to be more Hispanics than blacks by 2010.)As white as Miami's Cuban powerbrokers are, they feel no white guilt whatsoever. After all, they hadn't oppressed American blacks (which is certainly true—before 1959 they had been busy back home oppressing Cuban blacks).Compton, the spiritual home of West Coast gangsta rap, is notorious for its corrupt and dysfunctional black-run government. Still, a lot of people south of the Border have been down so long that even Compton looks like up to them.By 2001, 59% of Compton's residents, but only 15% of its voters, were Latino. Chicano activists routinely demand that Compton's black elected officials share power with its voteless illegal aliens. But the African-American leadership responds with ringing endorsements of the sanctity of citizenship that would warm the hearts of VDARE.com readers.Of course, in the long run, the American-born children of Compton's illegal immigrants will vote their own Latino hacks into the city job sinecures (as recently happened in nearby Lynwood). In the meantime, however, Compton's black political class is getting while the getting's still good.Few of Vaca's stories are edifying. In some, it's as hard to figure out who morally deserves support as it was during the Iran-Iraq war.Not surprisingly, most black and brown activists wish Vaca had never written the book. (One longtime ally in the Chicano movement stomped out of the bar when Vaca described the subject of his work, and hasn't talked to him since.) And in fact it wasn't very discreet of Vaca to document for us "gringos" that the modern civil rights movement is just another pork-snorting contest over who can shove the most snouts into the taxpayer-subsidized trough.Occasionally, though, Vaca's narrative rises above war stories about the tawdry ethnic jostling for taxpayer-supported jobs and discusses legitimate issues. Unlike the economic illiterates at the Wall Street Journal Editorial Page, who proclaim that immigrants do the jobs Americans don't want, lawyer Vaca simply takes it as one of his seven axioms that "Immigrants Will Compete for Unskilled Jobs with African Americans."In this dispute, Vaca's allegiance lies with his fellow co-ethnics. My loyalties, however, have to rest with my fellow American citizens.Personally, I am a citizenist. That is not a word you see often (here are all twelve uses of the word known to Google) which is not surprising because few pundits seem to think like this.My starting point in analyzing policies is: "What is in the best overall interests of the current citizens of the United States?"In contrast, so many others think in terms of: "What is in the best interest of my: identity group / race / ethnicity / religion / bank account / class / ideology / clique / gender / sexual orientation / party / and/or personal feelings of moral superiority?"Precisely because basing loyalties upon a legal category defined by our elected representatives is so unnatural, it's the least destructive and most uplifting form of allegiance humanly possible on an effective scale. The interesting question that Vaca doesn't answer (but I will in a future column) is not: why are blacks and Hispanics competitors for government goodies? (The answer of course: because, like Mt. Everest, they are there). Instead, the interesting question is: why does the African-American political elite disregard the black rank and file's hostility toward immigration?Nobody ever asked African-Americans if they wanted their nation's ethnic balance rearranged to pry them out of their hard-earned spot as the biggest minority. So why have their leaders acquiesced in this disastrous social engineering experiment?

Behind the Headlines...A World Without the United States
by Melvin Rhodes
Imagine the unimaginable: The president, in the White House, the vice president, at the National Observatory, and all Cabinet members, in their respective agency headquarters, are killed in a terrorist attack on downtown Washington. So are all members of Congress, except the few who happen to be out of town.
"What happens to the Republic? At the moment, the answer is alarming: chaos."
So began a disturbing article in the Dec. 10 Washington Post.
Continuing, the writer added: "The Sept. 11 attacks and subsequent release of anthrax on Capitol Hill have left many lawmakers and constitutional experts concerned that the federal government does not have adequate succession and continuity plans in place to recover from a catastrophic terrorist attack on Washington."
Pause for a moment and consider: What would the world be like without America? Can you imagine what our lives might be like without the superpower on which the world relies so much?
A world without America
The world has not been the same since Sept. 11. The possibility of an even deadlier terrorist attack on Washington in the foreseeable future cannot be ruled out. If such an attack were to take place, it is difficult to imagine how the United States could continue to be the leader of the free world. The consequences would be unimaginable—except that the Bible prophesies such a time.
The biblical book of Revelation reveals that the world will come under the domination of a union of 10 "kings" (rulers or heads of state) immediately before the return of Jesus Christ (Revelation 17:12-14). What could precipitate the transfer of dominance from the United States to this European-centered group of nations, which "will give their power and authority" to a leader the Bible calls "the beast"?
Since World War II the United States has been the undisputed leader of the Western world. Before the United States, the British Empire was the world's leading power for well over a century. The United States and Great Britain share similar values. Nobody alive can remember a time when one of these nations was not the major force in the world.
Certainly neither the United States nor Britain has been a perfect world leader. But it is equally certain that domination by other nations would have made the world an entirely different place. A look at fairly recent history well illustrates this.
Before the supremacy of the English-speaking powers, the major Western player was France, whose King Louis XIV (1643-1715) vainly declared, "I am the state." The concept of the divine right of kings was essential to centralized state power. Before France, Spain was dominant. "His Most Catholic Majesty," the king of Spain, saw himself and his country as instruments of God in spreading the faith of the "one true catholic church" to the four corners of the earth. If people did not willingly convert, then there were other means of persuasion.
England and her colonies were to struggle against these forces of despotism for more than 250 years, from the time of Queen Elizabeth I (1558-1603) until the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, when Napoleon's dreams of world conquest were finally defeated.
A century later Germany's kaiser and later Hitler made further attempts at world conquest. Japan was also set on imposing her will on the world. Afterwards, Russian and Chinese communism threatened the peace of the planet.
For most of this time a "multitude of nations" (Genesis 48:19), biblically prophesied though rarely recognized as such, was the primary force that defended liberty. After Pearl Harbor that was to change, with the United States taking over from Great Britain and its Commonwealth associates the role of the leading military power. However imperfectly, both Britain and America based their political, economic and religious systems on the value and freedom of the individual.
In contrast, most continental-European nations historically have placed little value on individual freedom; they have subscribed instead to variants of Louis XIV's famous dictum emphasizing strong central government at the expense of individual liberty. In Western Europe this has been tempered since World War II during America's period of supremacy.
A post—Anglo-Saxon world is frightening to contemplate. Whoever takes over as the dominant power will not share the values of the United States and Britain. Maybe some of those principles would remain, but certainly not all.
How it might happen is a topic for another discussion. But, for the moment, imagine the unimaginable—Washington gone. What would happen?
Who would lead the West?
"The West" is an all-encompassing term that goes back to the Western Roman Empire. When the military and political empire collapsed in the fifth century, the church became the empire. As historian Paul Johnson put it in his 1972 book The Offshore Islanders: "The Church was the continuation of the empire." He added: "Politics and religion were inseparable."
The Roman Empire was the fourth empire of Daniel's vision of Daniel 2 and one of the four beasts of Daniel 7. For 12 centuries, from the time of Emperor Constantine (306-337), when the Roman church became the state church, until the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century, the Catholic Church was a powerful force in the history of the West.
During the Protestant Reformation, England broke with the church of Rome. Theoretically it was now free to act independently of Rome. But, until its ascendancy was fully realized, England had to defend herself against continental Catholic powers that were willing to use force to subdue her. In the course of time Britain became the dominant Western power. Her multitude of nations girdling the globe were to become the defenders of the West against the French emperor Napoleon and Germany's kaiser and Hitler. America was to continue that role as the leader of the free world.
What, then, is the West?
To people in Britain and the United States, as well as the peoples of northwestern Europe, the emphasis is on freedom of the individual, freedom of expression, freedom of religion, democracy, human rights, economic freedom and property rights. Neither country has been perfect in these areas, but this is where most people would put their emphasis.
But, in a wider sense, the West comprises all the nations that can trace their history and culture back to the nations that were once part of the Western Roman Empire. England and some other countries of northwestern Europe separated themselves from the Western church in the 1500s. These states went on to embrace democratic systems of government, with emphasis on basic freedoms for individual citizens.
Most of the other Western nations, however, maintained their loyalty to the "mother church" and, until well into the 20th century, retained strictly hierarchical, monarchical forms of government.
But their common cultural heritage goes back to Rome. Interestingly, the 1957 Treaty of Rome began the long and arduous process of bringing most of these nations back together in the European Union.
These nations make up the majority of Western nations. They have tacitly recognized the American leadership of the West since 1945. But, if America were to suffer devastating setbacks, what would these nations do? Would they sit back and let themselves be defeated by the forces of militant Islam, a force that has threatened them previously in their history? Would they wait and see if somebody else replaced the United States as leader of the "free world"? What is the free world, anyway?
Uppermost in their minds would be the need to preserve their independence, economic well-being and way of life. Western nations are trading nations. They depend on trade, business and the prosperity of the capitalist system. Never mind freedom of religion or freedom of the individual. Historically, those values became important only during Britain's and America's preeminence. With America gone, who would care about such expensive niceties? The security of the state would be of paramount importance.
Jobs and the economy would be next on the list.
Daniel 11 states that, at the time of the end, a powerful force known as the king of the South will push against or attack the king of the North (verse 40). This threatens the security and prosperity of those under the king of the North. They react with massive military force, suggestive of advanced technology, which is not possible without wealth.
The United States and Canada are presently in alliance with the other Western nations. But they will not be a part of the 10 nations that come together in the prophesied revival of the Roman Empire. These nations most likely will come from the same geographical area as the nations that made up the original Roman Empire, nations that have signed the Treaty of Rome, the economic union that is rapidly being transformed into a political and military union.
An ever-closer union
In recent months some of these countries have made a dramatic and unprecedented change—the replacement of their national currencies with one multinational currency, the euro. Of the 15 European Union (EU) nations, 12 have become a single market to a greater degree than ever before. At the same time, the 15 are busy negotiating with 10 other European nations that are likely to be members of the EU by 2005. France and Germany have proposed a new European constitution that would also unite the EU nations politically.
Militarily, a significant step has been taken as a direct consequence of the events of Sept. 11. To the surprise of everyone concerned, all 15 members of the EU agreed to send troops as part of the international security force for Afghanistan. This is unprecedented. Three of the 15 are neutral countries. Never before have all 15 agreed on anything militarily. This is a reflection of the dramatic shift that has changed thinking around the world since the terrorist attacks on America.
At the present, most of the nations of the EU are also members of NATO, the military alliance that links North America and Western Europe.
After Sept. 11 the United States asked NATO to invoke Article 5 of the NATO Treaty. This enables any member country to claim the military support of other members when attacked by a nation from outside the alliance. Originally this was intended to help any European nation attacked by the Soviet Union or its allies. Article 5 had never before been invoked. It is of supreme irony that the first nation to request the invoking of Article 5 was the United States, until now the ultimate guarantor of the freedom of the other member states.
It has often been said since the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington that the world will never be the same. Yet it will be some time before the implications and consequences will be fully realized.
Sept. 11 is frequently compared to the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, America's second-biggest loss of life in one day. That attack awoke a sleeping giant, the United States. By the end of the war less than four years later, America was the world's greatest military power.
Could it be that one of the consequences of Sept. 11 will be the awakening of another sleeping giant, the European Union, out of which will rise the final resurrection of the Roman Empire? We shouldn't rule out this possibility. Make no mistake about it, the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation concerning the rise of a new end-time superpower will come to pass. It's our responsibility to watch world trends and events so we will not be caught unprepared. GN

He Lies! Obamacare Does Cover Illegal Aliens. (And Legal Immigrants Too, Needless To Say)

A timely post from www.vdare.com about the health care bill. You can get more interesting information by following this blog here.

He Lies! Obamacare Does Cover Illegal Aliens. (And Legal Immigrants Too, Needless To Say)
By Washington Watcher
Two months ago, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) spoke truth to power when he yelled “You Lie!” as President Obama asserted "There are also those who claim that our reform efforts would insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally."[Transcript]Wilson was right. Obama was indeed lying.Under legislation which the House may vote on as early as Saturday (November 6), illegal aliens were allowed to participate in the government subsidized health “exchange”. The Democrats intentionally blocked amendments to require any verification to ensure that illegal aliens do not receive the public option. After Wilson exposed Obama and the Democrats' lies, the White House backtracked. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said that Obama would promote a bill where “illegal immigrants would not be allowed to access the exchange that is set up.” He also said that adding verification requirements is "something we'd work out with Congress." [White House stiffens against coverage for illegal immigrants, Associated Press, September 11, 2009]Obama can “work” all he wants, but the Democrats in Congress have apparently chosen simply to ignore his guidelines. In the 1900 pages of the health care bill, they couldn’t (=wouldn’t) add the few sentences that would keep illegal aliens from exploiting taxpayer services.Joe Wilson along with Representatives Dean Heller (R-NV) and Nathan Deal (R-GA) are planning to introduce an amendment to the Rules committee to close this loophole. But the Democrats are planning to block it.According to the Associated Press, “Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) indicated that the House will have to vote on a bill that allows illegal aliens to use the new health care ‘exchange’ and that does not require verification to keep illegal aliens out of the other parts of the proposed new federal health care system.”Despite Obama’s promises not to cover illegal aliens in the exchange, he will not pressure Congress to follow his own guidelines. The Hispanic Caucus sent their leaders to demand that Obama keep this loophole in the bill, and threatened to vote against it if it were closed. After the meeting, the Associated Press reported,“‘He listened to us. We listened to him,’ said Rep. Nydia Velazquez, D-N.Y., head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. ‘We made it very clear that 20 votes in the Hispanic caucus depend on the language in the House bill.“Currently, there is no prohibition in the House bill against illegal aliens buying insurance in the exchange, but the White House backs such a ban and one exists in the Senate bill.“‘I think that he got our message,’ Velazquez said.’ [Obama, House Dems press for health care votes, by Erica Werner and Ricardo Alonso-Zaldivar, Associated Press, November 5, 2009]What about verification? Virtually all means-tested programs require that applicants be verified through the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements [SAVE] program before getting benefits. But both the Senate and House versions of health care reform only require immigrants to show a driver’s license or social security card to prove legal status. Needless to say, as long experience with only requiring employees to provide easily forged ID cards to prove their legal work status shows, this will not keep illegals from fraudulently acquiring healthcare. Another loophole to give illegal aliens healthcare: anchor babies. Congressional Research Services reported that“There could be instances where some family members would meet the definition of an eligible individual for purposes of the credit, while other family members would not… H.R. 3200 [Note H.R. 3200 is not the version of the Health Care Bill that will be voted on—that’s H.R. 3692—however, the exact same problem exists in both bills.] does not expressly address how such a situation would be treated. Therefore, it appears that the Health Choices Commissioner would be responsible for determining how the credits would be administered in the case of mixed-status families.” [Treatment of Noncitizens in H.R. 3200, by Alison Siskin, Congressional Research Services, August 26, 2009]In other words, if a child of an illegal alien is an anchor baby US Citizen and thus eligible for Obamacare, then the entire family—legal or illegal—is also eligible.Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) summarized all these problems succinctly“First, the bill allows open access to the federally run Health Insurance Exchange, subsidized with two billion dollars of taxpayer funds. Second, the bill contains an unreliable verification mechanism. Applicants for federal insurance subsidies will not even be required to provide identity documents to prove they are who they claim to be. And third, the bill leaves open the possibility that if one citizen family member is eligible for benefits, then the whole family, including illegal immigrant family members, is also eligible for the benefits.”In addition (and an even bigger problem): legal immigrants can suck resources from the American taxpayer. The 1996 Welfare Reform Act sensibly barred legal immigrants from receiving means tested services in their first five years here. But H.R. 3692, explicitly provides an exemption, so that immigrants are immediately eligible for taxpayer-funded healthcare.Polls show that 83% of Americans don’t want illegal aliens to be covered by government insurance. But Obama apparently missed that message—because he is too concerned with the ethnic lobbies within his own party. While the Democrats lie about illegal aliens being covered by Obamacare, they are very upfront about the fact that covering illegals won’t matter anyway if we pass amnesty.Sen. Jeff Bingham (D-NM) said: “We are not trying to expand health care coverage to illegal immigrants through this legislation. That will have to be dealt with through comprehensive immigration reform [a.k.a. amnesty].”The Democrats realize that the immigration battle is tied to the health care battle. And so should immigration patriots. If the immigration issue manages to sink Obama’s top legislative goal, it’s a safe bet that amnesty for illegals will be dead on arrival.

The Palin Plethora

An interesting analysis from http://www.badeagle.com/ about Sarah Palin's book, and to a lesser extent, Carrie Prejean's. He actually praisies the books and authors but gives a commentary about the conditions that they are being presented in.

You can continue to get interesting commentary like this by following this blog here.

The Palin Plethora

In the media plethora of Sarah Palin, we may miss the most important ’shout out’ of her message: the failure of white men.
The media has absorbed the Sarah Palin image with a ‘roguish’ rigour, indeed, but this is not a special feat, since she lends herself so well to the utmost attention of all. Democrats believe that she will divide the Republicans so abjectly that the Democrats can easily win whatever election she campaigns for, hers or anyone she supports. Therefore the liberal media gives Sarah 24/7 coverage. They made “Obama,” so they figure they can break the Republicans with Palin. Republicans are thrilled that she is a grass roots, frontier women, not another crooked politician, not seasoned in fraud and double talk.
Sarah Palin, whom indolent, self-indulgent men would rather look at, then compete with; whom white American men would rather send into battle, than to stand up and fight for themselves.
Everyone delights to look at her. That’s the one unifying factor. (FoxNews is even happy to have its errors in reporting about her dramatized!) She’s one fine looking woman. And she has a fine, tempered steel strength, like all beauty pageant girls. She’s known how to take hits since she was very young. She will never crumble under pressure. (She may resign when wise, appropriate, and necessary to do so for the benefit of all parties concerned, as she explains in her book, Going Rogue. But that isn’t buckling, at all.) Take Carrie Prejean, for another, younger example. She has a new book out, too, defending herself. There is no silencing or intimidating a pageant queen. Most people have no idea about that pageant personality. No one should be particularly impressed with Palin’s public behavior. She thrives on productivity and aggression.
But that so many men would look to a woman for a triumph is the loudest element in the Palin story. It just means that American men have resigned. It is yet another sign that American men have abdicated their responsibilities in true, patriotic, American leadership. They want someone to stump for them, to pinch hit for them. This is a national shame, really.
A nation is never conquered until the hearts of its women are on the ground, as the Cheyenne proverb says. When women aspire to national leadership, that tells me they think very low of their men. They are without confidence in them.
Sarah Palin is a novelty, an intensely entertaining novelty. She is a frontier woman, the like of which hasn’t been seen in the political public in a century, and never before in the presidential realm. But, consider this phenomenon in context.
America just elected an alien, black African Communist liar. Or, to put in more popular terms, America elected a Negro, a black man. For the first time. All social ills were absolved by such a sacrificial act. Or so the stupefied-by-materialilsm Collective Conscious of the country dictated. It was a most inebriated intuition.
But, when we make one mistake, we are inclined to make another. (So I was taught in Sabbath school, a thousand years ago, by an elderly educator, Dr. Brewer, whom I remember well.) We just foolishly elected an alien Negro to the white house. And now, we are considering electing a woman?
Is this more of the same ‘monkey see, monkey do’ tactic the Republicans used when they appointed Negro Michael Steele as head of the Republican Party? That was the Republican response to the election of Barry “Obama” Soetoro. Why, Republicans wouldn’t be out-done. They would play the race card, too.
So, it looks like Sarah Palin, the woman, might be the answer. It is all in the sport of using the White House, our sacred, national seat of power, to express popular idealism–whatever it is at the time. We elect an individual as an expression of our whimsical social mores at the time. This is very much the reason why Sarah Palin is becoming so profoundly popular. It is also the reason she might be another, even worse mistake.
Not possible? Don’t count on it.
Even if she represents everything conservatives and patriotic Americans believe in; even if she will actively pursue the exemplification of America’s most precious and beloved values; even if she seems the perfect person, she isn’t.
She means American men have bowed out. She means American men, white American men, have recused themselves from the court of public opinion. White American men have cowered from the battlefield of the country.
That’s what Sarah Palin ultimately means.
Some call to mind the great Margaret Thatcher, the iron-clad dame of Britain, who sent her Royal Navy to war when rights of a few British citizens were curtailed on a tiny island some eight thousand nautical miles and seven weeks away. Surely one could not ask for a stronger, better leader. But what has followed in England? The nation is about to succumb to Sharia law. The nation is about to be buried with foreign Muslims. English men have surrendered.
Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, 1982
It is the last act of the noble warrior, when all enemies are defeated, when all ills are vanquished, to kindly sacrifice himself. Without an enemy, the warrior kills himself. This is England. America follows.
Is a people good for only one war? After historical triumph and unprecedented victory, must a nation then dissolve itself? Even among the American Indian nations, the same is nearly true. American Indian men have failed to fight the kinds of battles presented to them in modern times. Our women run off with the first non-Indian that offers more than an Indian man offers her. This is defeat. This is failure. This is the dissolution of nations.
Palin, as governor of Alaska.
Putting Sarah Palin up for office, for the president of the United States, while it seems inevitable and right, is an omen following a disaster (Barry Soetoro). It can’t be better, even though most of us think it has to be. It cannot be worse.
But let’s not act on emotions alone. Let’s not operate from reactions, conditionings, or even inevitabilities. Let’s think about this. Let’s think objectively, historically, and wisely. The show boat king (Barry) doesn’t have to be followed by a show boat queen.
Where are the strong white American men? That’s all I can say.
Sarah goes “rogue” whilewhite men go fishing.

Accentuate The Positive, Eliminate The Negative! Harry Reid, Amnesty, Won’t Make It

An interesting post from Joe Guzzardi of www.vdare.com about amnesty. It is a very interesting take!!!

Accentuate The Positive, Eliminate The Negative! Harry Reid, Amnesty, Won’t Make It
By Joe Guzzardi
Here’s my unsolicited, heartfelt advice to you.
Please do not descend into apoplexy every time some notorious open borders shill makes a predictable speech calling for so-called Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
For your own good, don’t have a panic attack whenever a Treason Lobbyist appears on cable news television to insist that an immigration revamping is moving smartly along and that we can expect to see new legislation pass by [insert here any date that is four months away from the present one].
I’m referring to the angst generated among our friends when Homeland Defense Secretary Janet Napolitano recently urged Congress to "overhaul" immigration by early next year. [Immigrant Bill Is Back on Table, by Melanie Trottman, Wall Street Journal, November 14, 2009]
Senior White House advisor David Axelrod kept the pot stirred when he told CNN anchor John King that immigration reform is moving smartly along and he expects Congressional action by early next year.
None of this all-too-familiar garbage changes by one iota the facts on the ground.
To reiterate what I have written more times than I can count: it doesn’t matter a fig what Napolitano, Axelrod or any of their kindred spirits say or do.
Napolitano can give the same canned speech on every American street corner from today until the cows come home. Axelrod can be interviewed on television 24-hours a day, seven days a week from now until eternity.
After all, do you expect them to speak the truth, i.e., that all their well-laid Comprehensive Immigration Reform plans are down the drain?
Neither Napolitano, Axelrod nor all the ethnic identity lobbyists who will inevitably spout off the same tedious propaganda over the coming months can change three inescapable facts:
Congress does not have the votes to pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform. If you don’t believe me, then maybe you will trust Rahm Emanuel who said this summer that: "...if the votes were there...you could go to a roll call."
Every day that passes is another day closer to Election, 2010, thereby reducing to almost zero the already slim prospects for amnesty. [The 2010 Agenda Shifts, The Hill, November 17, 2009]
Whether the Democrats win or lose on Obamacare, Congress will have no appetite to enter into another ferocious debate over the even more contentious immigration battle. Consider the stir that health care legislation created, even though most Americans are said to favor it. Imagine then the Congressional chaos if amnesty, something most Americans oppose, reached the floor.
I also know that the White House isn’t pushing for enforcement, just as it has not (save for the waning Michael Chertoff days) since Dwight David Eisenhower left office in 1961.
Still, a plea to my friends: let’s dwell on the positive, especially since there is so much of it!
By my calculations, there’s at least a 75 percent chance we could by November 2010 be rid of Harry Reid, a resolute amnesty champion since he took over the Senate as majority leader.
Axelrod and Napolitano are nobodies.
Reid, on the other hand, occupies a position of enormous power and influence. And he’s teetering on the brink.
Here are the challenges that Reid faces as he begins his bid to represent Nevada until 2016.
Nevada is an economic disaster.
The state’s unemployment rate is 13.3 percent, second highest in the nation behind Michigan. In 2009, Nevada foreclosures exceeded new home construction for the second consecutive year.
Because of the nationwide recession, Nevada’s gaming-based economy is at a historic low. Since Nevada relies heavily (60 percent of its income) on gambling and sales tax revenues, the two year decline in tourism with further fall offs projected, has gutted services statewide.
The consequences of less tourism have rippled through Nevada’s gambling-dependent economy. Construction of houses, casinos, shops, restaurants and offices has come to a standstill.
A common solution to closing budget gaps, $3 billion in Nevada’s case, is to raise taxes.
That’s not an option for Nevada, however, because unlike most states, it has written some of its tax laws into the state constitution. So increasing the sales tax or adding an income tax would be nearly impossible given today’s economy because it would require voters to amend the constitution against their best interests. [Pew Center for The States, Nevada]
Massive immigration-driven population growth
Nevada’s population mushroomed 30 percent between 2000 and 2008, compared with 8 percent growth nationwide.
The most adversely affected by rampant growth are the Nevada schools, now ranked as America’s next to last in quality of education.
In 1960, Nevada spent $430 per pupil—roughly $2,800 in 2005 dollars. By 2008 the state’s per pupil outlay reflected an inflation-adjusted increase of 153 percent. When one includes capital outlays and school debt per pupil, spending has more than tripled since 1960. [Why Nevada’s Education System Is Failing, by Patrick Gibbons, Las Vegas Review-Journal, February 9, 2009]
Nevada’s Hispanic population is nearly 25 percent. Many are non-English speakers whose children require special attention that includes costly English as a second language instruction.
Remember that whatever illegal immigration exists in today’s Nevada, Reid encouraged and spoke glowingly about it on numerous occasions.
As grim as Nevada’s education system is, the awful reality is that the children in school are the lucky ones.
The number of homeless children in the Las Vegas school district rose 42 percent between June 2008 and June 2009 to 4,700 displaced students.
Nevada leads the nation in numbers of uninsured children. Food bank demand went up 68 percent during the last two years. State officials predict that over the next two years, 43,000 more residents will be added to Medicaid, the state-federal program that provides health care for low-income people. How will Nevada pay for it?
New Republican faces on the Nevada political scene
If "change" is the buzzword in Obama’s world, that spells trouble for Reid, a fixture in Nevada politics for four decades.
Since 1970, Reid has served as Lt. Governor, Chairman of the Gaming Commission, two terms in the House of Representatives and, since 1987, U.S. Senator.
In 1975, Reid was defeated in his bid for Las Vegas mayor. He won his 1992 Senate seat by less than 500 votes.
The Nevada Republican 2010 primary is set for June. Whoever emerges will give Reid all kinds of headaches.
The leading GOP candidates are Sue Lawden, Republican party chair, a former State Senator, one time Miss New Jersey, a runner-up Miss America and who in her earlier life was teacher holding a Master’s Degree in education.
Also in the hunt is Danny Tarkanian, listed as a real estate executive but better known for being the son of famous (infamous?) former University of Nevada at Las Vegas basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian.
More than half of Nevadans view Reid unfavorably as opposed to 38 percent who approve. Current polling projects Lowden a 49 to 38 percent winner over Reid. Tarkanian’s projected margin of victory is five percent.
Added bonus for the anti-Reid faction: his son Rory is running a distant third among three Democratic gubernatorial candidates.
For Lawden or Tarkanian, their platform should be short and sweet.
Hammer Reid on his vote for the stimulus package, his consistent support of non-immigrant work visas and his endorsement of amnesty.
Lowden and Tarkanian have spoken out against illegal immigration.
Reid’s positions on those three—stimulus, foreign-born workers, and low wage earning immigrants—have all put a big time hurt on Nevadans.
Between now and November 2010, Reid will pull out his bag of tricks. One Las Vegas insider told me that before his death, Ted Kennedy taped radio ads for Reid to run during his campaign.
If that’s true (a Kennedy spot for the equally endangered Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd has already run) then Reid should think it through carefully. Kennedy would only hurt Reid’s chances.
You’ll also be hearing about Reid’s $25 million war chest. As one analyst suggested, it’s a shame the Nevada economy isn’t doing as well as Reid’s fund raising efforts. [Reid’s Huge War Chest May Deter Foes, by Molly Ball, Las Vegas Review-Journal, July 15, 2009]
But money didn’t help former New Jersey governor Jon Corzine who shelled out $16.4 million of his own money while winner Chris Christie spent only $13,600 in personal funds.
And the $100 million bundle spent by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg barely got him over the top against an unknown, William Thompson.
Boiled down to the bare bones, although many Nevadans will support Reid out of force of bad habit, most will be hard pressed to vote for him given the abominable conditions in their state. Why reward failure?
In the meantime, friends, add this Bette Midler/Bing Crosby version of the Johnny Mercer classic song from my article’s headline to your iPods.
Play it often and mellow out.

Is 2012 the End of the World?

A very interesting analysis from www.wnponline.org about the movie 2012. You can subscribe to this blog here for more interesting commentary!!
See here for who WASN"T destroyed in the movie!!!

Is 2012 the End of the World?
An ancient Mayan calendar mysteriously ends at the winter solstice in the year 2012. Is this a sign that the Mayans knew that December 2012 is the end of human history? The History Channel, Newsweek magazine, major movie studios, booksellers and dozens of Web sites are fanning the 2012 craze. Should you be building a shelter and stowing away food for the coming disaster?
by Gary Petty

The predictions are of total devastation! According to some forecasts, entire cities will be destroyed by enormous tsunamis, earthquakes and Category 5 hurricanes; meteors will rain down fiery death from heaven; and human history will come to a violent end.
The hype is based on a mixture of speculation about Mayan calendars, the book The Bible Code, some ancient Eastern prophecies, the writings of Nostradamus and passages from the biblical book of Revelation.
Other 2012 scenarios picture a wonderful change in human consciousness and the ushering in of the New Age of Aquarius. John Major Jenkins, author of Maya Cosmogenesis, describes the coming New Age this way: "Around the year we call 2012 a large chapter in human history will be coming to an end. All the values and assumptions of the previous World Age will expire, and a new phase of human growth will commence."
While movie special effects of a tsunami crashing into the Himalayas can be visually spectacular, the answers to your future can't be found in speculations about Mayan calendars, or in the writings of Nostradamus or a New Age guru. The real answers to the questions about the end of the world are found in the only true source of prophecy—the Bible.
Many people believe that the Bible, specifically the book of Revelation, predicts a fiery destruction of humanity. A close study of the book shows that, although Revelation does contain descriptions of terrible future events, it is ultimately a book about hope.
Could you use some hope in your life?
If you are like the rest of us, you could probably use more hope in your life. You might be worried about the mortgage, the kids and the job. And with all the hype, you now have to worry that the end of the world is just around the corner. The book of Revelation shows us that there are reasons life is so hard, and there are keys to help you discover hope in your future.
Many 2012 scenarios predict the total destruction of humanity and leave you with no hope for your personal future. The book of Revelation is more than gloom and doom and predictions of the violent end of the world. Underneath all the graphic images of death and destruction is a message of hope for the future of humanity and for you personally.
A central theme of hope runs through the entire Bible and culminates in the book of Revelation. The message is why human societies fail and how the problems will eventually be solved. This message of hope centers around seven basic concepts that apply to you personally:
1. You have a special purpose in life, and there are solutions to your problems. You can keep applying the same old solutions to the same old problems, and you will keep arriving at the same old problems. You must turn to the Creator of life as the source of the solutions to life's problems.
2. God created you in His image, but is His purpose being fulfilled in your life? Most people today are not fully aware of God's plan and are not actively participating in it. This is why humanity suffers from anguish, war, hatred, greed, inequality and disease.
3. You can experience a relationship with God and live your purpose. God can heal you spiritually, emotionally and physically.
4. This change can only take place when you accept your need to change and believe change is possible through God's involvement in your life.
5. You must seek God's way of life that is outlined in the Bible. The Bible isn't just an ancient book of stories. It is relevant to your life as God's instruction book for how life works.
6. Jesus Christ is coming to save the world, and you need to be preparing for that day by becoming a disciple. Jesus Christ is coming to establish the Kingdom of God on this earth. It will be a Kingdom based on God's universal values and laws. His government will create a new agricultural system, pollution-free manufacturing, a universal educational system, one world religion and peace and prosperity.
7. Your ultimate destiny is to become a child of God, and you can have a child/Father relationship with Him now.
Nothing can bring more happiness, hope, love and power into your life than living by this basic biblical theme.
The end of the world?
So what does the book of Revelation reveal about the end of the world?
Revelation was written toward the end of the first century by the apostle John, apparently the last of Jesus' original 12 disciples. It is a divinely inspired prophecy predominantly concerned with the events preceding the second coming of Jesus Christ.
John's visions reveal that before Christ returns humanity will suffer devastating wars, disease pandemics, religious strife and famine on a global scale. Many of these happenings are trends we see announced in daily headlines and newscasts today.
Watching your world teeter on economic chaos can leave you anxious. Nightly news reports of possible pandemics, the ongoing crisis between Israelis and Palestinians, rogue nations developing nuclear weapons, religious and racial tensions, and predictions of environmental disasters can make you want to crawl into a hole and hide from all the bad news.
Don't despair! In the Olivet Prophecy Jesus declared that He will return to save humanity from total destruction (Matthew 24:22). Revelation tells us about the time of deliverance Jesus predicted.
In Revelation 19 John gives us a description of the return of Jesus Christ: "Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
"And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
"Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
"Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, 'Come and gather together for the supper of the great God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.'
"And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
"And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh" (Revelation 19:11-21).
John describes a terrible time when governments unite to fight what they see as an invasion from outer space. Many people believe that this is the end of the story, but this is not the scenario revealed by God to John. He writes that Jesus will establish God's Kingdom on the earth for a thousand years, bringing peace and prosperity (Revelation 20:1-7).
The Old Testament prophet Isaiah was inspired to predict what the earth will be like during the reign of Jesus Christ. One passage, in Isaiah 2:2-4, states: "Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.
"Many people shall come and say, 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.' For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
"He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore."
What should you do?
Humanity is not going to be annihilated in a great fireball caused by asteroids or exploding atomic weapons. The Bible clearly shows that humanity is not going to experience extinction in 2012. Sometime in the future, Jesus Christ will return to save humanity from destruction. Between now and then you can live in hopeful anticipation of that day by turning the control of your life over to your Creator.
Are you willing to give up your own ideas about how life works and turn to your Creator for the solutions? God wants more than a profession of faith from you. He wants you to become His child, live by His standards, accept His values as the Creator of the universe and serve with Jesus Christ at His return. The hope is in the believing—the hope is in the doing—and the hope is in living daily God's purpose for your life.
While humanity will not be destroyed in 2012, the Bible also reveals that the New Age scenario is not your destiny. The solutions to human problems will not come from mysticism but from the Creator of life.
Through the advanced newscast of Revelation, God tells us that there are some very bad times ahead; but this book also tells us that there is coming a unique and total change of society. Jesus Christ is returning, not as a baby in a barn, but as Lord of Lords and King of Kings to establish God's Kingdom on the earth. He is coming to save the world.
It will be the beginning of real life and prosperity without war, crime, disease epidemics and hopeless poverty. It will be a time when all people will know the Creator and live His ways. There is a fantastic future waiting for humanity.
Christians live in anticipation of that day. It is the foundation of our hope. WNP
