For more that you can do to get involved click HERE and you can read a very interesting book HERE!
And Remember when contacting public officials to please be firm but respectful. Any over the top messages could result in law enforcement action against you. Just let these politicians know that you are aware of what they have done and that you intend to remove them from office in the 2012 elections.
Urge your U.S. Representative to Support the CLEAR Act!
Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has introduced H.R. 100, the Clear Law Enforcement for Criminal Alien Removal (CLEAR) Act of 2011. This bill will make sure local law enforcement agencies are reimbursed for the costs associated with incarcerating illegal aliens. Previously, this compensation was made available by the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP). Unfortunately, the Obama Administration's 2010 budget cut all funding for SCAPP, effectively killing the program..
Please send a fax to your U.S. Representative and urge him/her to support Rep. Blackburn's CLEAR Act.
In addition, the legislation provides the following enhancements to promote sound enforcement of immigration law:
Recognition of local law enforcement authority to help enforce immigration law;
Improved information sharing with the federal government;
Requirements for the Federal government to expeditiously remove criminal aliens;
Increased Federal resources for local governments that choose to enforce the law; and
The CLEAR Act will ensure that local governments are not saddled with an unfunded mandate by the Federal government when it refuses to enforce the law.
