Tea Parties, Jesus Christ, Passover, and Unleavened Bread

As you are aware there are multiple Tea Parties happening around the nation on April 15. See here http://brianleesblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/tea-party-movie-johnny-tremain-bumped_14.html for more details. However, there is also a time of Spiritual Liberation that happens on this day which happens to also fall on April 15 this year, the Last Day of Unleavened Bread which commemorates the parting of the Red Sea, when the Israelites escaped the Egyptians. The article below explains this, and if you'd like, you can find out more here http://www.gnmagazine.org/booklets/HD/leavingsin.asp

Passover and Unleavened Bread...True Freedom: A Passover Season Lesson
by Jerold W. Aust
"My country, 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrims' pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring."

Similar words to the traditional song above must have rung loudly from the lips of our forefathers that first liberating Passover when they were redeemed from death, then set free!
Their time had come to be saved by the One typified as our Passover more than 1,400 years before He lived on this earth.
Earlier that night, Moses had told all the Israelite families to kill the unblemished lambs, called Passover lambs, selected for this time.
"Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, 'Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb. And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.
"'For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you. And you shall observe this thing as an ordinance for you and your sons forever. It will come to pass when you come to the land which the Lord will give you, just as He promised, that you shall keep this service.
"'And it shall be, when your children say to you, "What do you mean by this service?" that you shall say, "It is the Passover sacrifice of the Lord, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households."' So the people bowed their heads and worshiped" (Exodus 12:21-27).
God vividly detailed this event to help us remember that without Christ having been our Passover sacrifice, sin would result in our having one inevitable end-eternal death (Romans 6:23).
But the Father wants us to also remember that because Jesus Christ was resurrected to eternal life, eternal death itself can be conquered.
Life Mocks Death
Jesus Himself knew that after His death, death itself would be conquered. Near His physical life's end, He desired that His followers would grasp the magnificence of that new life-for Him and them-that hinged on that death.
He revealed to His listeners that "the hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified."
He continued, explaining in terms they might comprehend: "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain" (John 12:24).
Then He told them what they in turn would have to face: " He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor" ( verses 25-26).
While they were considering all this they were stunned by a voice like thunder from the clouds-the voice of God!-affirming Christ's words.
Through His word and His Son's spirit in us, that voice of God still speaks loudly to us today, whereby we're stirred to remember His wonderful promises pictured by His great Holy Days.
Paul, when he was counteracting some who doubted an eternal future, enhanced Christ's metaphor for His death. To Christ's' earthy metaphor, he added those two seeds of human life, Jesus and Adam, to contrast their fruit: "For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive" (1 Corinthians 15:21-22).
Paul continued to build his case for the resurrection. He enthrallingly compared the spiritual and natural realms, revealed that our change will come at the last trumpet's sound, and demonstrated how "this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."
His conclusion must have then left speechless those still doubting. If they had in fact ever realized it, he reminded them what their revered prophets Isaiah and Hosea had proclaimed: "Then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: 'Death is swallowed up in victory. O Death, where is your sting? O Hades [grave], where is your victory?'" (1 Corinthians 15:53- 55).
Because death cannot exist in eternal life, as darkness cannot exist in light, everlasting life then "mocks," as it were, both the grave and death. It "cheats" the grave and death.
This is why the glorious symbolisms of the Passover and Unleavened Bread are so important to us. They signal the road to eternal life.
Christ's Sinlessness and Our Responsibility
The Feast of Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23) points us to the righteousness, the holiness, of Almighty God.
This helps Christians realize two important factors: first and most importantly, the feast highlights the sinless character of Jesus Christ, the unblemished "lamb" sacrificed for our sins.
Secondly, having repented of our sins and accepted Jesus' sacrifice for them, we have a responsibility to continue removing various sinful habits from our sinful nature. Why? Because sin weakens and destroys.
This is what the apostle Paul was addressing to the Corinthian Church in 1 Corinthians 5:7. The apostle Paul is clarifying this point: establish in your lives what you profess to know.
The church's acceptance of Christ's sacrifice for their sins was their first step in becoming uncontaminated, like a new batch of unleavened dough. After accepting Jesus Christ's sacrifice, they were then also required to live a clean life, free from past habits of sin. Not to continue putting sin out of their lives would make a mockery of Jesus Christ's holy sacrifice.
Let True Freedom Ring!
The Passover represents Christ's holy sacrifice, therefore the Passover season constitutes for us true freedom. Freedom from anguish, from debilitating weaknesses, from guilt; freedom from fear and from Satan's wicked manipulations of us; freedom of separation from God and freedom to bond with Him through Jesus Christ.
This is true freedom. NB

ACORN, HuffPo Organizing Efforts to Infiltrate Tax Day Tea Parties to Shape Media Coverage

ACORN, HuffPo Organizing Efforts to Infiltrate Tax Day Tea Parties to Shape Media Coverage

By Jeff Poor (Bio Archive)April 7, 2009

Acts of protest tend to be synonymous with the left and are usually considered unsurprising on the right. However, when conservatives demonstrate - liberals take notice in a big way.
On Fox News Channel's April 7 "Your World," host Neil Cavuto reported that the Tax Day tea party protests on April 15 will be "infiltrated" by their political opponents and led by left-wing activist organizations. He specifically named Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

"Only eight days before a nationwide tea party, some over-caffeinated crashers aiming to lay waste to it," Cavuto said. "Reports of very well-organized infiltrators trying to mix in and rain on this parade. Talk about taxing."

One organizer, Mark Meckler of the Sacramento Tea Party, dismissed the counter efforts and said they were to be expected.
"We don't take them seriously at all, and I'll tell you why," "It's not that they don't exist - we expect people to attempt to infiltrate," Meckler said. "We expect people to attempt to disturb what we are doing, but the reality is that this is a very broad-based grassroots movement. There is no leader at the top. There is no individual event that they can disturb that would cause us a problem nationwide."
Meckler explained that everyone was invited - even if they come to promote a philosophy that runs counter to what the tea party movement is attempting to convey.
"So also, the people - we trust the grassroots," Meckler continued. "We know, the people are skeptical of anyone approaching at these events, and we believe that people are going to handle it well. And in fact, we invite everybody to come to our events. We don't care if they are from ACORN, The Huffington Post or the Daily Kos. We want them all there. We're excited to have them attend."
In fact, The Huffington Post has even set up a Web site for so-called citizen journalists to infiltrate the protests.
"The Huffington Post wants to have citizen journalists at as many of these events as possible," Arthur Delaney wrote for The Huffington Post on April 7. "If you think you'd be interested in attending one of the Tea Parties and reporting back to us with dispatches, photos, or video, click here to sign up. We'll contact you shortly with further instructions."
If you sign-up, you receive an automated message from Matthew Palevsky, the Huffington Post's associate editor of citizen journalism.
"Thanks for becoming a Tea Party Reporter," the e-mail from Palevsky says. "This e-mail is just a quick confirmation that we have received your contact info and will email you our plans during the coming week. In the meantime, we'd love to hear your thoughts. Whether they be questions, suggestions or story ideas, share them with us at submissions+ideas@ huffingtonpost.com."

John O'Hara, organizer of the Chicago Tea Party said he wasn't worried either about these sorts of efforts and specifically named ACORN, calling them out of touch with mainstream America.
"Neil, I'm not worried about it at all," O'Hara said. "This is a genuine grassroots movement. If ACORN wants to send some of their paid, pretend activists to show up - that's fine. They don't have a message that resonates with the American people or resonates with this broad coalition that's upset with this spending that's going on in Washington."
Cavuto explained the early reports of the "so-called infiltration plan" were an attempt to make it look like fringe-group efforts and in some case appears as a "racist undertaking."
"The people understand what these movements are about," Meckler said. "The people who are involved understand that they're not racist. They are not fringe. They're not even partisan. I mean, these are events where we have people across the board - Democrats, Republicans, conservatives, liberals, Libertarians - you name it."

"Tea" Parties!!

Here is an article describing some of the Tea Parties http://brianleesblog.blogspot.com/2009/03/future-tea-party-events.html over the weekend.

Steeped in taxes and ready for tea

Protesters invoked tariff-weary Colonists, blasted Obama’s $787 billion stimulus plan at rally
Sunday News
Published: Mar 08, 200900:17 EST
Harrisburg

By PAUL FRANZ, Staff Writer

Protesters at the Harrisburg "tea party" rally wore tea bags to demonstrate solidarity.

The symbols of revolution were on full display. There was the famous Colonial flag with a coiled rattlesnake and the words "Don't Tread on Me."Another early American flag showed 13 stars arranged in a circle. And then there were the tea bags hung from the brims of people's hats and ears.
Hundreds of protesters gathered at the Capitol in Harrisburg on Saturday afternoon to throw a "tea party" against President Barack Obama's $787 billion economic stimulus package."You are called to a new revolution today," conservative talk radio host Gary Sutton, of York's WSBA-910, told the crowd, estimated to have numbered around 1,000 by the State Capitol Police."This is about right and wrong," Sutton said."A government that is big enough to give you freedom is big enough to take it away," state Sen. Mike Folmer (R-48th District) told the protesters.Cries of indignation and outrage against the stimulus plan and the president roared from the crowd. People held signs slamming Obama and other Democratic politicians as communists.

"End the socialist experiment!" a sign read."This is treason," said Mark Holloway, a self-employed contractor from Red Lion. The consensus among protesters was clear: The stimulus plan won't lift the country out of its economic crisis."This bill is going to reward people who are grossly irresponsible," said David Nace, a Lititz resident and co-owner of Wickersham Construction & Engineering Inc.The president has also called for an additional $75 billion to stem home foreclosures.Blasting Obama's proposals, protesters clamored for more tax cuts and reduced government spending to solve the country's economic troubles.A tractor-trailer driver from Allentown, Dawn Blocker said she only worked 17 hours last week because there's just not enough freight to carry anymore."Rush Limbaugh is absolutely right," she said. "The government is out of control. They're spending all this money for themselves."The Harrisburg tea party hasn't been the only one of its kind in the country. The idea for the tea parties started last month on CNBC, when business reporter Rick Santelli, standing on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, blasted the president's economic stimulus plan."This is America! How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor's mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can't pay their bills?" he asked Joe Kernen on CNBC's "Squawk Box" program. "We're thinking about having a Chicago tea party in July. All you capitalists that want to show up to Lake Michigan, I'm gonna start organizing."The rant became an instant Internet smash, generating nearly a million hits on the video-sharing Web site YouTube. The rant inspired conservative bloggers and pundits to organize tea party protests of their own.The idea comes from the iconic 1773 event, when American Colonists tossed crates of tea belonging to the East India Co. into Boston Harbor to protest British taxation and commerce policy. With some notable exceptions, including the Harrisburg rally, other tea parties haven't attracted large crowds. The effectiveness and popularity of the tea party rallies is still debated."I'm a realist," said Andrew Emerick, of Baltimore. Asked whether the rallies will have any effect, he replied: "Probably not." Holding a "Don't Tread on Me" flag, the real estate investor is looking to the 2010 congressional elections as the point to direct change in fiscal policy.Joe Sterns, communications director for the Commonwealth Foundation, a fiscally conservative think-tank group that organized the Saturday rally, said a Philadelphia tea party attracted only 50 people. The Village Voice reported a Boise, Idaho, tea party attracted a paltry four protesters."We cast the net far and as wide as we could for this rally," Sterns said. Many in the crowd said promotions by conservative talk radio hosts on WHP-580 and WSBA-910 boosted the turnout.Despite varying turnouts, conservative pundits say the tea parties aren't over.

A grass-roots movement sponsored by Eric Odom, a conservative blogger, is hoping to inspire nationwide tea parties on tax day, April 15.

Obama, Police, and Revolution: Welcome to Oklahoma!!!

Here is a very interesting article from www.badeagle.com, an interesting American Indian's site.

Obama Police Tyranny Begins
by David Yeagley · February 20, 2009 · 14 Comments ·

An Oklahoma City man was accosted by police for a sign he had on the back of his SUV: “Abort Obama, Not the Unborn.” The police pulled him over, confiscated his sign, reported him to the Secret Service, and he was was interrogated in his home by the SS. They did a “walk through” in his home, to determine whether he was a “racist.”

This happened February 12, over a week ago. It just made The Oklahoman yesterday, the 19th.
Chip Harrison, a normal, upstanding Oklahoma City man, was an embarrassingly innocent, simple Christian man. Here is his own testimony of what happened.
Chip Harrison, harassed by OKC police and the Secret Service.
The police claimed in their report that the Secret Service “could construe this [Harrison's sign] as a threat against President Obama.” So, what else might local police decide might be considered a threat to Obama in the eyes of the SS? So, the local city police may now act as the arm of the SS? The primary informants?
Oklahoma City Police spokesman Steve McCool said that the sign was taken in error, and Oklahoma City residents should not be worried that their First Amendment rights will be violated. This is called damage control. Ah, but the damage is done. The precedent it set.

OKC Police spokesman McCool’s damage control response.
It is abundantly clear that enforcement paranoia has set in. Make that tyranny. Don’t criticize Obama. The feds will come after you. That’s the pace now.
But who knows, maybe it was just Oklahoma Democrat police, who are smarting because the state legislature has turned Republican. Maybe it’s a case of personal frustration. Police are only human. Who knows what the Oklahoma police will do when the state declares independence from federal abuse?! Will the police go after Oklahoma House Representative Charles Key for his state sovereignty bill (HJR 1003), or Oklahoma State Senator Randy Brogdon for his state sovereignty bills SJR 10 and SJR 11? Will any disagreement with the nation-trasher in the White House be considered “a threat”? Senator Brogdon is on a literal campaign for liberty these days. Heroes are always marked men. Oklahoma will soon be a marked state.
But law enforcement is already liberalized. Law must have enforcement. If the laws are liberal, the enforcement mind set will be liberal. It is a cultural mood. Authority is becoming Communist before our eyes. Tyranny has begun.
People are already talking about “revolution” against it. Rush Limbaugh is using the word. CNBC financial reporter Rick Santelli lauded the Boston Tea Party of 1773. Talk is in the air, on the air, and on the net. (BadEagle.com has spoken of it for several years.)

Rick Santellis “Rant of the Year.”
While the people become more and more angry, the police force is growing in authority and equipment–by means of the Obama Bail Out. These things can always be discussed either way, but, the reputation of the police force has changed. It is definitely liberal, definitely raced-based–designed to “protect” the Negro and to denigrate the white (and other non-Negro groups, like the American Indian). The popular impression of the police is one of unreliability, and at this juncture in our cultural deconstruction, fear. The police will target the innocent–in the name of political correctness. In the name of “liberal” Democrat tyranny. That’s just the way it is now. The police enforce the law. If the law is liberal, the police are liberal.

Chip Harrison can vouch for that. It happened in Oklahoma City. Does anyone in the country know about this yet? Criticize Obama, and the SS will come to your door, and “walk through” your house. The dye is cast. The precedent is set. A “black” cloud is settling over the country. White liberals have created it. At this point, they’re Democrat and Republican.
When angry people outnumber the police, then we’ll see the National Guard on our streets. At that point, there will be effectively no American Constitution at all.
