Call & Ask your Senator to Fight For Unemployed Americans and National Security

A timely post from www.numbersusa.com about getting the Senate to override the lawsuit against Arizona. This follows this post about something for your pastor. This follows this post about Evangelical Christian Leaders. This follows this post about the Arizona Legal Defense Fund. This follows this post contrasting Texas and California and this post about the MURDER of ROBERT KRENTZ, who the protestors and boycotters won't give a solution for, but will call Americans racist for trying to prevent another MURDER, and this post which shows that there are 30,000 openly illegal immigrants in the border town of El Paso. As you might be aware, on July 6th, Attorney General Eric Holder filed suit against Arizona to prevent the state from implementing its new immigration enforcement law, SB 1070. During the press conference, Holder said:
Arizonans are understandably frustrated with illegal immigration, and the federal government has a responsibility to comprehensively address those concerns. But diverting federal resources away from dangerous aliens such as terrorism suspects and aliens with criminal records will impact the entire country's safety.
It is very unfortunate that the attorney general has decided that dealing with the 12-18 million illegal aliens living illegally in the United States is not worth the Department of Justice's time. Furthermore, it is downright despicable that Attorney General Holder has inferred that if Arizona's new law is not declared unconstitutional, then another major terrorist attack would be more likely to occur.
Fortunately, some Members of Congress are trying to do something about the government's unjust, pro-illegal alien lawsuit. Sens. David Vitter and Jim DeMint have introduced an amendment to H.R. 5297 (the Small Business Lending Fund Act of 2010) that would prevent the Obama administration, including the Department of Justice and other agencies, from participating in lawsuits seeking to invalidate the recently enacted Arizona immigration law.
However, Majority Leader Harry Reid must agree to allow the Senate to vote on the amendment. Please call your Republican U.S. Senator(s) and urge him/her to pressure Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell into fighting for a vote on SA 4464.
