As we know, the list of foods that we are not to eat is in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. However, some would go beyond that and set up fence laws with lists of more things we shouldn't eat. As it says in Matthew 23:4, some people will put hardship burdens upon Christians to discourage us from following God, rather than giving the advice of Moderation as it says in Philipians 4:5. There needs to be more of an emphasis on the difference between health advice, which is dependant upon the science of the time, and God's prohibitions which are listed in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.
An interesting take on so called heath advice is here: http://www.businessandmedia.org/commentary/2006/20060712144241.aspx
